Overview: They have a coat check. Over priced. Terrible Service. Unprofessional host. After waiting at our table for 20 minutes, we left. Never got a chance to actually try their food, though Im sure it would be on par with their parent company, Ouzos...okay. My family and I went this this restaurant, on a Friday night, with plenty of 60ish year old customers. My first impression was of their menu. Everything was pretty pricey. Asking $18.00 for a standard carbonara pasta, with an extra $4 charge for chicken and $6 charge for shrimp. I was perplexed, as the pricing was about $5 more than I was anticipating on every dish. Maybe their food was good, but I never got a chance to order it. We waited at our table for twenty (yes, twenty) minutes with no attention, no drink order, not even a "Ill be right with you." I even made eye contact with multiple waitron who quickly looked away. I started to wonder if I was going to ever get visited by a server. Was I dressed inappropriately? The host (judging by his attire and demeanor, could have been the owner), ignored us as well, and conversated with the table that was right next to ours. We gave up and left, we were hungry, and werent willing to pay a little more, especially if their service was so poor. Finally, although it was a minor concern, their decoration was terrible. I noticed that the brick interior was kept on their walls from the old Pizza Hut, it sort of had the same stale smell, too. The center piece on our table was a whiskey glass with aquarium pebbles and a single sprig of week-old wilted rosemary. The tables were also small, however their chairs were sort of nice.

Galazio was recommended to us by someone who said they made good Mediterranean food. Given the location of the restaurant, we kind of questioned how good it would be but were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant/bar area with the wine bottles lining the walls and the white lights on the archway into the seating area. When we sat down, we were given bread and dipping oil, the bread was warm and soft and was REALLY good. We decided the true test of how good their mediterranean food is would be to try the basics so we ordered the trio dip (tzatziki, hummus and spicy Tirokafteri), dolmades and we split a chicken kabob. The tzatziki was GREAT! and the spicy Tirokafteri was something new for both of us that was really tasty, the spiciness level was just enough. The dolmades were also very delicious. We found the chicken kabab to be very moist and cooked to perfection and the accompanying rice had a nice flavor too. We also wanted to mention the service........our server was very friendly (and not in a fake, give me a big tip kind of way). We definitely plan on going back and cant wait to sit out on the patio, which looks really relaxing. All in all, we feel like we found a little gem in southern Maryland. The quality of the food is on par with some of the more pricey mediterranean restaurants we have tried in Alexandria and Arlington. Cant wait to go back!

Have been going to this place for the last 5 years...it was previously called Ouzu in another location....not happy about tonights dinner. They used to include salad with their dinner entrees but have taken that away and the price has remained the same...they used to offer olive oil and herbs with bread but changed to a humus type spread which was not as good....they charge $9 for a bowl of cream of crab which was severely lacking in the crab department and the cream was average at best....will probably not return for a dinner and stick to times where the menu is more reasonably priced...our Chicken Sulvaki meal was good but it seems they are trying to cut costs since they moved into a new building and it just comes off as poorly, which is sad because this was one of our favorite places to visit....the last time we visited we left before we were seated because the music was way too loud and they couldnt get us a table...should have taken that as a sign

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. The food, mostly was good. The service, not so much. Food-wise, the tomahawk ribeye waz perfectly cook and really delicious. The Caesar salad was over dressed, but the dressing was tasty. The brocolini tastes like plain broccoli that was trimmed to appear to be brocolini. It lacked the bitterness brocolini has. I think it might have been our servers very first night. She didnt notice we were missing silverware, or food. We never got the rolls and oil that have been standard on prior visits. It took a long time to even get greeted or to get our first round of drinks. Overall, I guess we were very disappointed. I may return for the food, but my expectations for service will be very low.

This restaurant has always been one of our favorites. We have been dining here since the Uzo days when they were located across the street. Todays experience was not good. For starters, there is no lunch menu on Sundays. Secondly, we ordered our favorite soup only to once again to find to be inconsistent. This time there was no rice, a very important element in the soup at all. We we received our "Greek fries", another long time favorite, they turned out to be just French fries with a little seasoning. The taste and texture was not the same at all despite the waitress attempts to explain that it was. Very disappointing, may be our last visit after many years as loyal patrons.

Holy cow, how could anyone give this place 5 stars? My family had the worst service here! Waitress described the Beef Stew as having "some type of meat in it" and the spices as "Greek, you know, salt and pepper". ??? The food? Portions were probably ample for someone who only needed a snack. Spaghetti priced at $17 for a bowl that would barely satisfy a 2 year old... Wife had a Gyro that was nearly $20...should have gone to Ouzos up the street for twice as much for half the price. Over all, Id give this place a 0.3 out of ten. Disgusting overall experience. How does such a terrible place stay afloat?

Hands down, the best restaurant in La Plata. Ive been searching for an upscale Greek restaurant to replace my favorite one down and Texas and it has finally happened after three years. The food at Galazio was out of this world. Full bodied flavor, very pleasing to the eye and the decor was spot on for the vibe they are going with. Perfect for date night, business meeting or even girls night out. We got to meet the owner and his brother who were both very kind and professional. Perfect example of "you get what you pay for". Great job Galazio!

The food was well done, well prepared and of good portions. The prices are a little more than I think necessary but not completely unreasonable. My only complaint with the restaurant was nowhere near being full and service was extremely slow. This is a place you want to eat have extra time to kill.

Awe man the food here is delicious. This is our 3rd time here and this is my first review. The wife and I just love this place. This spring and summer we will be partaking in their gazebo seating. It looks very nice online and from the road. If you are in the area you should check it out.
