I just recently moved to the area and was very excited to see a Panera very close by. It has been a few years since Iv been to Panera since there was not one convenient at my last house. So yesterday, Sunday, March 15, I was excited to finally be able to go have lunch at Panera with my husband. It had been awhile so I was not familiar with the menu. We walked in to a line all the way to the door. The only paper menu I could find was only a catering menu. I am allergic to certain foods and the menu on the board only had the names of the menu items, not what was actually included with the item. Ex. Instead of seeing just the name of a salad, I like to know what toppings are on the salad or on a sandwich. I apologize if I dont automatically know what comes on a Frontage Chicken sandwich. After waiting in the long line, I get to the front of the line and ask the cashier for a paper menu so I can see what is listed with each item. She could not find one. With a long all behind me all the way to the door, I did not feel comfortable standing there asking the cashier to list every item on each salad and sandwich. I quickly just ordered something that sounded safe enough, since I am allergic to a few food items. While waiting for the food, I saw the manager at the pickup counter. I told him that I could not find a paper menu anywhere, that I have food allergies and when I order I need to know what items are in the food. (not the nutritional items, I need to know the toppings, like if it has peanuts on it, mushrooms, cheese, etc) I simply suggested to the Manager that it might be a good idea to have these menus posted somewhere for people who are not regulars and dont already know exactly what they want. He told me that next time I should ask the cashier to list the items for me. The Manager told me that I next time I can just ask the cashier. This upset me as I found it very stressful to have to wait in a very long line and then ask the cashier to list to me every topping on every sandwich and salad??? On my way out, I again looked for a paper menu everywhere. I could not find a single one. I even asked the cashier and she could not even find one. She was too busy dealing with only 2 cashiers with a constant line all the way to the door. Maybe a 3rd cashier would have made it a better experience for the guests. Either way, I simply wanted to take home a carry out menu since I had already decided that standing in this long line and asking the cashier to list everything for me was too stressful, so next time I could call ahead or at least know what I can and cant order next time. I could not find a single one. I do really enjoy Panera in general. However, the manager was also very rude and it really should not be so hard to find out what toppings are on each salad, or what toppings are on each sandwich, etc. I will not be returning to the Clifton, VA location ever again. And most likely will not frequent any Panera location again.

First the menu and now the food quality? Is Panera intentionally trying to put themselves out of business. We just had our last meal there. Actually, I threw my entire meal out since the sandwich tasted like the sole of a show on two peices of cardboard. The soup had an off flavor like it had turned. The other sandwich had so much mayonnaise that it should have been called a mayonnaise sandwichvtopped with some chicken. $25 for this meal? Thanks but save yourselves some time and money and head anywhere else but Panera.

The manager girl is the best supervisor ever I have ever experienced, i meant, she is so nice, and try to make everyone comfortable. If any Panera executives read this comment, she is one of the people who is deserved for much better position, she is really people person, and I always love to come over here because of nice staff and nice yet fresh foods. Thank you all for doing this for us, and constant promotions. The girl, manager, I dont know your name, but, I will definitely hire you if I have my own business.

Delicious food delivered to your table. There was a lunch rush when we went and the food was still made timely. A great place for an after church lunch with friends. The seating is a little limited to booths and 2 chair tables. There are a few 4 person tables, but not that many. We had to colonize half of the 8 person table in order to fit our crew. Thankfully the other group we shared with didnt mind.

Take it from someone who has been in many kitchens before thanks to my pa. If youre there as a customer, you can guarantee that youll always see a friendly face behind the counter ready to take your order. If youre there as an employee or an intern. As someone who has been a customer and was an intern only a year ago, I can vouch that Paneras sandwiches are delicious and are a must have.

They dont have soup early morning on a Sunday! I chose to come here to get something warm for my belly before I go to work and thought of getting their soup but I was told they dont have soup until 11am. Like what?? I got disappointed and just got their sandwich. I was in the mood for a warm soup but none. Oh well...

We get carryout here a lot (at least once a week). Probably 1 in 3 orders is wrong. Today, one of the orders had the wrong soup. Last week we were missing a salad. The staff are nice but just not very good at their job, and presumably the training and processes are flawed.

Cozy with lots of great options. I wish they didnt change their menu options so often though! Good seating for large groups or a single diner

People are friendly. My only complaint is they dont put cream cheese on your bagel. But I think thats a Panaera corporate decision.

This location is drity, crowded, unorganized, slow. In general, a mess. Food is fine, menu is disorderly.

Nice place but very crowded and they run the air conditioner in the dead of winter. Extremely uncomfortable.
