I wish I could give zero star but minimum is one. Last night (a Wednesday night, moderate number of customers) at around 8pm, 3 of my buddies and I went in to start grabbing something to eat while waiting for our wives and kids to join us but, at that moment, were across at Shadow Land waiting for their schedule. It started out just fine where the server brought us to our table (out side) and took our orders. He did not introduce himself, but thats fine, maybe he forgot or just new to the job. We ordered soda drinks and ask to give us a minute to look at the menu. After a couple of minutes, another server came to bring us our drinks. One of my buddies jokingly said, "I want my straw" because they forgot to provide straws for the drinks. Again, that was fine. We waited about 15 more minutes and our server never came back for our orders, so we ask the server the served the other table next to us, if she can inform our server that we are ready to order. She was nice and said she will inform him. Another 10 more minutes and we ask another server on a different table that we were ready to order. Again, this other server, said shell let our server know. We waited another 5 more minutes and we just gave up. We went in to pay and leave, and the guy on the register, asked us who our server was, but guess what, we dont know, he never introduced himself. He said we can only pay through our server in spite of the fact we told him where our table was. Finally, our server showed up and explained he was helping someone. Yeah, right! So my buddies along with our families ended up somewhere else for our dinner with a few other families from our kids swim team who were also at Shadow Land. And yes, we told them what happened and warned them about BWWs awful service.

Service is horrible. Manager on duty looks like she was in High School the employees work like they are in one. Took 20 min just to get a table. Not because they were busy, but because they only had 1 greeter who was focused on take out orders and they dont teach their servers to back them up under these circumstances. Everyone else completely ignored us and the other people behind us waiting for a table. Took 20min just to get a specials menu. Server was only focused on his big tables. Sat for 20 min ready to order, server walks by us more than once. Menus closed. Not once stopping. At that point we left. While i have been here before, the service was a little better then, but not much. The food earns the 2nd star. You get what you want and tastes like youd expect. That may not always be a good thing, but It aint horrible. Service needs to improve significantly.

I dont know what some people expect, but Gaithersburg needs this, all the bars are just getting scary here now, thats why everyone crams into dogfish. People get stabbed in Gaithersburg bars. Ever notice the perma cop posted on e. diamond ave nowadays? It has become a show and this is one of the few "safe" places to drink anymore where everyone is welcome. A mater of fact, skip Gburg and just go up a couple more exits on 270 to Germantown. Youll be safer and have more choices and there are oddly less cops even though its next to a police station. If you dont see someone pulled over in gburg on your way to a bar on the weekends, it is an anomaly. Honestly though, this is the best place to go in Gaitherburg now.

Update March 2014 I first visited the restaurant last year. Back then, the service was slow, the wait staff was confused and disorganized and the food came out cold (45 minutes after it was ordered). Since then, the service has definitely improved. The order was out in 15 minutes, and everything was hot. The restaurant does have a nice selection of microbrews on tap, which is great because the Dogfish Head (further down the street on 117) has gotten really crowded lately. If youre interested in a nice, large restaurant with lots of good beer, this is a good option. I hope they keep up the quick pace of service. If they do, Ill be back!

It seems like a very happening place. But service is slow. I was sitting 4 feet away from the bar and I see my drinks are sitting on the bar counter for ages. The manager, instead of bringing them to table started stirring my beer to make the foam again to make it look fresh. When I saw that I complained to the manager to change the beer, which he finally did. But I was very unhappy with this experience. The food also arrived very late and when I asked for hot sauce, they charged me for that too. Its overpriced and service is slow. I am not going back again.

Like most buffalo wild wings, decent food, great deals, and deathly slow service. Came in for a snack late afternoon off-peak with my boys and watched our server disappear repeatedly. Empty glasses and long periods of zero service, as the other server in our section handled his 3 tables attentively. Seems to be a trend at this chain, just know that this is not a restaurant, it is a sports bar best suited for snacking as an exercise in patience. Still keep coming back just need to lower expectations to mitigate frustration. Great wings though!

Service is usually slow and spotty regardless of how crowded it is. I go here often and have complained repeatedly about the wings coming out before the nachos or other appetizers. Even asking the server to delay the wing order doesnt work. Now I have to order twice to ensure I get my food properly spaced out. Food is good and hot when served. Depending on server, drinks are usually replenished quickly. Lots of tvs and servers will switch the channels to whatever you want except on nfl days when tvs are dedicated to certain games.

Food was decent, but our wait staff was very inattentive. Even after we were done with the meal, had to get up and look for a server to get our check because we were just sitting there motioning that we were ready to pay, and they would just look back and continue their conversation with other employees. The bar area was better though. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman that served me, but he recommended the right drinks, and came by enough times on a busy night to make sure all was well.

We arrived and was seated a little before 7pm tonight. We was not greeted by a server until about 20 after . The service was extremely poor/slow. The food came out before the salads and it wasnt what we ordered. I asked for the manager 3 times within the first hours of our visit and he never showed up, I had to make contact with him myself and he still told me to hold up. When he came back to the table he appeared to not know what was going on or what to do about our situation

Pretty standard BWW experience. Service below average. Food is junk unless you order the bone in wings. Which are not worth the price unless you come on a Tuesday night. But 450-550 for a tall draft. Come on, thats about as reasonable & good as a chain gets for beer. Great TVs always. All good. Just dont ever see myself driving down the road thinking, hey, I sure could go for some food at BWW. Heck no, not happening. But it is what it is & thats all.
