I ordered from their rapid online ordering system .... I requested the now button as I would like to pick it up as soon as possible. I placed an order for 9 pick 2 meals and the online system said because the size of my order it would be ready 1 hour later (I felt this was a long time to wait but none the less placed the order for my boss and his clients ) . I arrived approximately 30 minutes early and bought a beverage . The cashier asked the name on the order ( both the cashier and the woman in the bakery part where exceptionally friendly ) I told her and she went to see if they where at least working on it . a woman steps out from the back and said she didnt even see the order asked me for the paper and stated she would start on it from the receipt I had (great !) But after that it was all downhill ... The woman must have asked a man (I am assuming the manager) why she didnt have the order ... He stated the order was printed and because it had hot food it was set aside ... then he said if they wanted to come in earlier then they should have put that time ( It wasnt an option as the computer program gave me the time ) then yelling at each other she says well shes her now so what do you want me to do ?!? Not once did i mention I was in a hurry , I just sat in the chair next to rapid pick up ... while sitting there I listened to the employees complain about customers( This lady calls for delivery at lunch time then complains , she just wants free food , ect ect ect ), I even heard a woman slam something a few times and yell " I hate these people", The worse part was that the person I assume to be the manager was the one talking the most . Where is your level of professionalism ... When the pick up time hit I looked at the rapid pick up shelf and it was empty ... A gentleman came around the corner and asked what I was waiting for . I told him and they began looking for the order ... They found it at the cashier stand ? No one told me it was there , The bag sat there about 15 min as I recalled someone putting it there but thought it was for a delivery. I politely thanked them and walked out the door ... When I got back to the office and organized the lunches i noticed there where no forks for the salads , spoons for the soups, the Caesar salad box was crushed and if I hadnt asked for extra butter there would have been none for the bag of rolls that we had...My simple grilled cheese was like rubber.... This experience was extremely disappointing and will definitely cause us to seek other restaurants to order from for our clients ...

For the most part our food was on par with Panera Breads standards. However they did not correctly make my wifes salad. This alone is not enough to earn less than 3 stars. However when my wife went to ask them to remake her order. The associate was very rude and tried blaming the cashier. The cashier did an excellent job read our order back to us 3 times and our receipt showed she had rung our order in correctly. My wife worked as a cashier 3 years and was a trainer for over 2 at the Tech Road Panera Bread in Silver Spring MD. So she knows how to read the receipts and proper procedure. The associate then proceeded to have attitude in front of my wife while remaking her salad to the point that one of her co-workers had to correct her, and my wifes remade order was still wrong the second time. I will not be returning to this panera.

I went to this restaurant last saturday and ordered *take out*. 1. They put the food on the plate and gave me 2. After I told them that it was a take out order, then they packed it 3. Pack came without chips and fork 4. They gave chips first and didnt listen about the fork 5. Asked for fork again then got it Today at 5:45 PM, I went inside to order take out. I was standing there for few minutes with the pager and also saw a brown bag on the serving area. They were busy preparing food. After looking at the brown bag for few minutes, I was skeptical that it could be mine. They simply forgot to call the pager. Interesting! When asked, they gave it to me and I walked away. In both cases, they said sorry and I appreciate that. They can do better in customer service.

I dont go there often but do get bagels for my group of coworkers occasionally. the service is always fast and friendly. This morning I went to get a dozen and a half of bagels and three tubs of cream cheese. When I got back to work I realized they only gave me two tubs of cream cheese so I called to let them know and much to my surprise, they offered to have someone deliver it to me. I met Megan across the road since I work at a secure facility and much to my further surprise, not only did she have my missing cream cheese but they also sent a complimentary pastry roll. Now that is exceptional customer service in my opinion and will keep me going back and recommending the Chester Panera to all my friends.

Tried to order items on their online menu and found they do not offer some items on there and they havent for about 6 months. I called to let them know and they deferred me to their corporate office. Very inconvenienced with no offer of resolution. Basically didnt sound like they cared what their online menu said. The manager actually said "well our paper menus in the store are accurate." Im actually in your store....your online store. Thank you over priced Panera. You made me feel like a valued customer....ha.

Dirtiest panera Ive ever been too. Dining room had many dirty tables and the floor was a mess. The food prep area was a disaster. Half unserved sandwiches, cheese blocks not being used, filthy cutting boards with miscellaneous food all over, overflowing trash can. They werent very busy and they still messed up multiple orders while we were there. The chocolate croissant we got for dessert was old and stale. This is all very uncommon for other paneras I have been to.

After our experience in this Panera Bread, Cafe 1139 according to the receipt, we will never go to another one again. They got almost all of the orders wrong and did not have friendly customer service at all. My son was a big fan of Panera Bread and now he cant stand the place. So long Panera Bread.....

This is the one closest to my home and I love it. The staff there is always friendly and bend over backwards to accommodate. Love to go there any time of day. Better still - they now deliver!

The best Panera around. Definitely beats Colonial Heights. The staff is always friendly and they prepare food in a timely manner. Its always very clean as well. Love this place.

The food is exactly what I expected however the womens bathroom was horrible. It changes my mind on if the employees are clean. I hope this was a one off.
