Very bad first impression of the place. I had gone for the buffet thinking its still Minerva and apparently they have now changed mgmt to become Deccan Spice. During my lunch, they didnt serve me any roti/naan. I asked the waitress multiple times for roti and she kept saying its coming. I waited until the end of my lunch but I wasnt served any. Finally when they did bring out the naan, they served other people who had come in after me. And at that point I called out the manager and spoke to him about the mistreatment and he was not even apologetic about it. The buffet was minimal, not a lot of items. The Minerva buffet was better. The chicken biryani didnt have any chicken pieces in it. The tandoori chicken was dry and hard as rock. I will never go back there again.

Everything in the buffet was lukewarm, at best. Most of the food was sitting out at room temperature. This included all of the chicken dishes. Buffet food was mediocre. Limited options, all chicken or vegetable dishes. Sauces were lacking flavor and the only thing spicy was the okra, which was like eating a spoonful of chilies. Received one small naan for a table of three halfway through the meal. Did not have beverages to order(?) aside from room temperature tap water or some mystery self-serve spiced tea in a thermos. Was also charged higher price than $8.99, but there was no indication of what the price of the buffet was on their website or on their menu. Shady practices and really sketchy food. Will never return to this place.

This was our first visit here and quite impressed with what they have done. We had the lunch buffet and it was very good. Authentic Indian dishes galore! Butter chicken, Fresh Naan, tandoori chicken that is not burnt to a crisps...and even good ol Goat! I had more than my share and some how had room for their rice pudding desert. Top notch here! The waitress was very nice and knew the items on the buffet line. We will be back! Definitely the go-to place for Indian buffet... well try the dinner and repost an update!

Could use a GORDON RAMSAY tough love makeover ! Horrible food especially with tofu makini and doughy samosas, lots of flies and roaches everywhere, and unjustifiably high prices. I made that crystal clear to the waiter begging me for a "tip". Whoever runs this restaurant obviously interested in competing for better. Furthermore, I notice that the 4 and 5 star reviews are definitely fake and likely paid sock puppets. Go and eat there if you want to get sick and robbed.

Attended the Unlimited Dosa Night on Monday and enjoyed wonderful and hot served Dosas. Service was good and Cocunut Chutney could be improved. Sambar and Idli were expectional. Even I was offered one plus one Biryani which was exciting but couldnt order as I was already belly full with Dosa, Idly, Umpa and Sambar. Looking forward to have Dosa night next Monday with better coconut chutney.

There is no zero henece one star. Ordered telangana chicken curry spicy but they got us butter chicken mixed with paprika (chilli powder). Ordered fish biryani th t mixed clove powder to make it spicy and not edible at all. Management changed but same cook. Not worth the money spent over dinner.

Food was ok but not worth $13.99 for buffet..... I would say most of the things were tasteless but some were ok like curry chicken but Biryani and chicken tikka was horrible..... I suggest Mehran Restaurant in Herndon Va is good and also price is less as well

Best Indian food in the area. We have tried telangana chicken curry, Deccan Special boneless Biryani along with Tandoori chicken and Badam milk. All the items were delicious and yummy. Food never tasted so good. Staff were polite and service was great.

Went at lunch. Was surprised that it was no longer Minervas. Tried it any way. Seats were sticky. Tablecloth had food stains and glasses were dirty. Food was luke warm and not much of it. Next time I will just go to the Wendys across the street.

The best Indian food in DMV area. Their weekday lunch buffet is only $8.99 which is inexpensive and worth it. They also have 2 banquet halls. We had our daughter birthday party there. Excellent service and very accomodation.

Spicy food, good taste. The management seems to be new, so there are mistakes. The place does get busy.
