OMG! I literally just put my chopsticks down to write a review because it is that good! Cheogajip is certainly the best take away Korean Ive ever had, but maybe even the best overall as well. The service was friendly and quick, and the quality of the food I received was much, much higher than I expected. I ordered a mixed seafood dish with scallops, shrimp, sea cucumber, mussels, and mushrooms and other veggies in a spicy sauce, as well as an order of steamed pork dumplings. I could not get over how high quality, delicious, and perfectly spicy my main dish was! The pork dumplings were great, as well, and obviously made fresh or never frozen at the least. I wish I lived in the area so I could eat here again!

Not sure why everyone rates this place so high. There are few options on the menu - basically a half or a whole chicken cooked one of three ways. I ordered the hot and spicy half. What I got for $11, after a fairly long wait where I was the only customer in the restaurant, was about 6 or 7 small pieces of fried chicken slathered with spicy sauce. No marinade. Not cooked over a flame. Just a sauce slathered over friend chicken wings, drumsticks, and pieces of back. No breast or thigh meat. Maybe I expected too much, but I wont be coming back.

I love this place here. The sauce that they is so good but the spicy sicken sauce I have to ask for it on the side. I enjoy spicy food but the sauce is extremely spicy that the next day you might just regret that you had too much of their sauce. They dont have many options besides the chicken but they have a few sides and a small choice of beer and soda. I recommend this place just get the spicy sauce on the side.

Now that Bon Chon Chicken and BBQ Chicken have muscled in to the Korean Fried Chicken Scene (oh yeah, theres a scene), its easy to forget these guys, who were first in town and still do a darn good job. Try the half-and-half crispy & spicy chicken. And plant to spend 30 min waiting for your order, so call ahead if you dont want to wait

Nothing special, at least the spicy sauce is actually spicy. But what you get for 11 bucks is 9 pieces of chicken that are fried with no batter covered in samba olek. Of those 9 pieces 2 will be chicken ribs with no meat. Pass on this place and drive out to Fairfax Arlington or Annandale for Korean chicks.
