Be warned!! This used to be our favorite place for Korean, but now I will never go here again or recommend to anyone unless you like bad food. I hope state board of health is reading this honest review and visits this place soon before someone gets very sick and hurt. The owners are cheating customers by advertising ribeye and short rib meats in buffet menu but they are not. Instead the bulbogi ribeye meat is cut from cheap sirloin or top round and galbi short rib is cut from cheap sirloin/top round meat. The meat is so obvious I dont know how the owners think they can cheat customers blatantly like this. Meat was tough, dry, old & brown. We informed waitress about the meats & she said owners have changed meats cause it was getting too expensive. If that was the case dont offer it on the menu. They also no longer carry shrimp as part of buffet. Because Meats were not fresh, we had food poisoning for 2 days. Dishes and bowls next to buffet table were dirty with lots of dried food stuck in between dishes and bowls. Really had to go through the stack to find a clean one. Grill was gross looked like it wasnt scraped clean enough. Pan catching drippings were so full that it was catching fire and had a life of its own. We could hear it bubbling and partying as if it was stewing a revolt ready to blow, sooo dangerous. What a fire hazzard for customers. They no longer have an ice cream machine and finger desserts and only offer oranges and canned fruit. Bathrooms are dirty and everything is broken from faucets, towel and soap dispensers to broken laminate and tiles. For $20 for weeknights and $22 on weekends, it wasnt worth the bad food. Its a shame that this place has drastically gone downhill as most of the waitresses are very nice. This place is truly a hole in the wall and now we know why it was empty unlike years ago. Sad as now we will be looking for another Korean restaurant. :(

My family and I are constantly looking for the best ayce deal in the city but unfortunately nothing has opened near my parents house for quite some time. So instead we decided what a better time than the Lunar New Year to make a trip to Virginia to feast? Most ayce save their best stuff for weekend or holiday dinner so we were pleasantly surprised by the selection available for lunch at II Mee. Aside from ayce BBQ, there were a wide variety of banchan, traditional Korean dishes, and sushi! Although you have to order the Korean BBQ through the menu, they are extremely generous. The "small" plate of a single meat was enough to feed 2. We ordered the pork belly, beef bulgogi, and brisket to "start off". We never made it to round 2. Their sushi was just okay. Rice to filling ratio was 3 to 1. I would save my stomach for their Korean BBQ or dishes. My favorites out of their hot food selection were their blackened pork belly, garlic mussels, and stir fried green beans. I also enjoyed their beef stuffed green peppers and pork/corn patties. They were however a bit greasy and screamed buffet quality. Overall, food was decent but not great. Service was better than Chinese buffet (these servers had to constantly cook and serve you! Def tip them better!). Would return to check out their weekend dinner.

I will be honest. About 8 months ago to a year this place was the best. Loved going there, but its gone down hill. I went there around 09/01/15 and it was horrible, food was ok, at least the food they brought out and cooked in front of us. The stuff on the buffett was old. My main concern. The cleanliness of the place was absolutely horrific. Dont know if its management or what. There were gnats flying everywhere, landing on the food on my plate. I used the restroom which was not clean, when I went to grab for a paper towel not in the holder where it should be, just sitting on the counter, literally 20 gnats flew off of the paper towel roll for whatever reason they were all on it. Just a very bad experience the last time I went. Probably will not go again unless i hear its changed. If anyone goes there and it has changed please review and tell us about it.

Horrible experience. I would give 0 star if I could. Very bad customer service. Food on the buffet was old and tasteless, BBQ meat was ok. Worst thing was we tried to leave $10 tip and the server complained it was not enough and I told her this is what we wanted to leave she cant be demanding more tips! She called me stupid and grab the tip and walked away. I came up to the cashier area asked to speak with the manager but the server who called me stupid claimed she was the manager. I wasnt buying that. Older lady that was sitting at the cash register clearly was either the manager or the owner but she pretended like she didnt speak English and didnt even apologize for her employees rude behavior. I demanded to take my $10 tip back and she gave it to me. Never going back there. For $21 per person food could be better too.

I dont think I would go back here again. We use to love this place. Food and staff were great. However; the night when my family and I decided to come to this establishment, no one was at the counter. So we sat ourselves. We saw a cockroach crawling through the gas range that is connected to the table. So we moved to a different table. The waitress was so focus on the larger group that he forgot we never got our drinks. When we were done, no one was at the counter once again. We couldve just left and they probably wouldnt have notice but we decided to get someone to pay for our meal. The price went up by almost $3.00 from their late night menu. I had a really bad time so I would not recommend any of my friends.

Ambience: Typical Korean place with BBQ cookers in the center. Decently clean Service:. These folks have an attitude problem or just hate their jobs. Either way I struggle to get attention here and I also struggle with the rude ness. I have gone here over 10 times with my friends, love the all you can eat meat part but the way you get service is horrible. Food:. Meat quality is decent , Kalbi is good and the pork belly is amazing assuming they dont burn it. The buffet isnt that great which is why I dropped a star. Again want something decent then this place is okay for $25.

The place have lots of food to eat. When you first come into the store, the waiter greets you with a smile on their face. That makes people like me want to come back to this place next time. When you sat down, the waiter will give you a menu that ask you what meat you want to pick. After that, you could go and eat your all you can eat buffet stuff like sushi and other Korean food. On weekday, its usually not that crowd but on Sunday, itll be crowded and you might have to be sharing tables with other customer.

COCKROACHES! The cockroach ran on the table, we said the waiter about it and she is a familiar movement crushed the cockroach by napkin, as if nothing unusual had happened. Except this. Nothing I ordered was good. Dry, bland, tasteless combination fried rice. Fried dumplings had very thick dumpling casing and didnt taste very good. Sushi was HORRIBLE, (which I probably shouldve expected). I ended up throwing almost $45 worth of food in the trash.
