The food was really good and reasonably priced. Since they specialized in Peking Duck, you could get other dishes with duck for a very reasonable price. As atmosphere goes, it was a bit dated, but it was very clean and comfortable. It appears to be a mom and pop type restaurant that has been around since 1982. The staff were very friendly and service was quite quick for our early dinner meal. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it was kind of weird when we went to pay. They only take cash, Visa, or MasterCard, which isnt too big of a deal, but running our card is when we had an issue. We wanted to leave a tip on the card but then our server/hostess said there was something wrong with the chip reader and we asked to put the tip on the card she got really confused. She had marked the tip and total out on the credit card slip and then eventually wrote down what we wanted to give her in the slip. At that point, I would have just given her cash if we had in. Overall, great food. If we lived in the area, Id likely get carryout all the time.

I have been going to Peking Duck since I was 4 years old and lived in Alexandria. I moved to texas when I was 10. moved back to Alexandria when I was 16. Chef Chang knew who I was. Knew my family. This is a restaurant with amazing service. As the story I recanted tells, this is a place where they know your name. On my 22nd birthday, I invited my friends to join me here. We had 16 people and were treated like kings. Their first thought was "what... you want to go to this podunk place when we could go somewhere else?" Well, leave it to Chef Chang and his crew to change their minds. And my friends now rave about it! I cant say enough about the food here. I know about the beef and broccoli, the lo mein, and the peking duck. Ive had peking duck many places, but this is the only place that knows how to make a duck. The plum sauce is the perfect sauce. The skin pieces are crisp and flavorful. The inside meat is moist and wonderful. The pancakes are amazing! I cant say enough about the food. Dont trust me, try it!

Ive been to this spot a few times. Its been great. The food is delicious. The last time I ordered I chose the General TSOs with combination fried rice. It was pretty expensive, $23.00 but well worth it in my opinion. The food was delicious. Not to greasy. Chicken was crisp and flavorful. The staff was excellent. I am able to understand them and hold a pretty decent conversation with them almost every time I go there. If you want a Chinese spot thats affordable and good try this one out, you wont be disappointed.

We have been eating at Peking Duck for the past 5 1/2 years...and we wont eat any other Chinese! Whether we eat take out or dine in, it is always wonderful. The presentation for their specialty, Peking Duck, is great! The food portions are generous and always tasty. There are always specials for those times when you dont feel like the usual sweet and sour pork or fried rice. We would highly recommend the Peking Duck! The only thing that would make it better is if they delivered!

We chose this place because of the reviews, therefore, I felt compelled to note our experience. One of the absolute, by far worst places & experience ever!! The place has mold on the seats, the ceilings have big water stains, the walls have large sections where the paint is pealing. Lastly, the food: chicken was old & the shrimp stated bad. My husband was honest & noted to the server how awful the food was. 2 staff in the

The best Peking Duck in any city - and Ive tried a great many. In the DC area, this Peking Duck restaurant even edges out Duck Changs (this chefs father) and Peking Gourmet - the two favorites of duck lovers here. And ask the chef to choose a desert for you. He is descended from the line of desert chefs to the emporer of China. Ive been a happy Peking Duck customer here since they first opened in 1981.

when you call, they have too much attitude in talking (usually the owners wife/lady), lady on phone will never listen to what you are telling for takeaway orders, when you go there to collect your order, she will then give it to her husband and is cooked in utmost hurry. Prices keep on rising every other month. Its usually empty for a sit in too. Need to find a decent Chinese food place

Fantastic sizzling rice soup and peking duck. If you have never tried peking duck you are missing out. The outside of the resturant is not fancy but the inside is clean, quiet and a nice restaurant to enjoy a dinner out with a first date or that special someone. The owners are a sweet husband and wife and work very hard to make you feel comfortable.

Tried it for the first time today. Excellent authentic Chinese food. I usually do not leave reviews but I made an exception for this restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh and not greasy like most Chinese restaurants that deliver. Staff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back.

We had dinner recently at the Peking Duck, the overall experience was terrible. It was very slow and the food was nothing like the description on the Menu, the meat tasted stale, and the waitress and the woman in charge there were pushy and rude. I dont recomment wasting your time and money there!

I have been a longtime customer of this restaurant for many many years. It is hands down the best Peking Duck I have had. The interior decor is somewhat dated, but that should not stop anyone from going because the food will certainly make it worthwhile.

I was fairly underwhelmed here. Peking duck wasnt very good (though Id never had it before so perhaps I just dont like the dish). Others in my party seem satisfied. We were the only people there and service was still a bit slow. Unlikely to return.

Ive been going to Peking Duck ever since I was a little kid, they have been close family friends for many years now, they have excellent food and very friendly service. I highly recommend trying their won-ton soup and peking duck, it is delicious!

Although the restaurant itself is old, the family that runs it is always very attentive, the food tastes great and is fresh. Its a little odd that theres rarely many people there, but I did finally get to see it about half full on a Friday night.

Very good food. The egg roll and duck were amazing. However, the service was not great. Also the interior is very cramped (all the tables are in close proximity), which made it harder to enjoy dinner.

A real hidden gem. The peking duck is the best Ive had anywhere. All the "bang bang" dishes are absolutely outstanding. The owner/chef and his wife are super-friendly. A must try in northern VA.
