At lunch, a decent enough cheeseburger (good beef, but only one small area was properly the rare I ordered, the remainder medium), on a decent roll, adequate fries (not cold, not exactly straight out of the fryer, either), but the garnish (uninviting lettuce outer leaf, soggy tomato slice, old-looking bits of onion & wilted pickle slices) would better have been dispatched to the compost bucket. And my waiter was clueless: When he asked how I was enjoying my meal, and I praised the burger, then added: "Whats with the garnish?" He told me it was for adding to my burger. When he finally got my drift about its quality, he told me to fill out a comment card, so I guess he wasnt all that sincere in asking in the first place. Table 24 is said to be chef-owned. If he was absent at lunch, I fault him for not running a tight ship, but may give the place another go. If he was presiding, fuhgeddaboudit.

The service wasnt anything special, and the food was substandard for a place that touts "local" ingredients. The mushroom risotto supposedly had there different kinds of "wild" mushrooms. I guess we should let them know that criminis are cultivated. There werent three varieties in the dish and it was salty. The chips with blue cheese and béchamel had Tabasco splattered all over them and the menu doesnt reflect that. We had to send back...too hot. The butternut squash ravioli had some kind of overpowering almond flavor and for a homemade pasta really doughy. The teriyaki salmon looked like a piece of salmon jerky. Very small, thin portion that was overcooked and came with 3 pieces of broccoli for $18. Wouldnt recommend it.

There is something for everyone in the menu and the atmosphere which is very casual yet upscale. Love the rotisserie chicken and beef dishes, creative salads and fresh fish. The ingredients are fresh and the food is homemade unlike the more popular family-style chain restaurants in the area. Its grandmas favorites with creative flavors and spices and side dishes. Table 24 is a must-try for the casual family, business, and pre-theater crowds. Awesome bar and lounge area to socialize and watch sports. Reasonable prices make it a great value for dining out in Downtown Rutland.

Awful, 2 weeks ago. Ordered oven roasted cod and it was not "roasted" enough-the fish was grey..should be white when done. Sent back and 10 mins later the dish came back with the fish in the same position and still grey. Fellow diners at my table noticed the fish in the same position (even tiny flakes were still there). Carrie (waitress) did not ck back. When she saw I didnt eat the fish she said shed take it off my bill. Bills came and mine was $9.00 and she watched me put a $20 bill in the folder and had the nerve to ask me if I wanted change.

Mushroom risotto was amazing.. the smoked mushrooms set the dish off. I had the chicken rotisserie sandwich which I was not expecting to be anything stellar. Chicken was some of the best tasting and moist that I have had. The arugala and cheese complimented the sandwich very well, and the complimentary bar chips were tasty. The Second Fiddle hadnt been tapped correctly and was pouring all foam, which was a bit of a disappointment, but the other beers on tap were fine. Worth stopping in for a dinner!

For the prices you pay, the quality of the food should be a lot better, and the service should be as well. I paid $28 for a rib-eye that was about a quarter of a piece of fat. It came with about five finger potatoes and no other vegetable. If the steak was any good, I wouldnt even mind paying for sides, i.e., Abe and Louies. Im not cheap. I enjoy expensive meals when you are paying extra for good quality and good service, but you wont find either here. Caveat emptor.

This is such a cute little place. Traveling from CT we stopped around 730 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Tastefully decorated, great menu and drink specials. Waiter was very nice and attentive. Had the beer cheese dip for an app- it was different, but delicious! We both ordered the Shepards pie for an entree, It was SO GOOD made with chicken such a fun twist on it. We parked on the street and had a short walk to the door. Great experience.

Awful. For an upscale restaurant the quality was terrible. Didnt let us know until 20 minutes after we ordered that they had run out of both items we had ordered. Settled on a lousy cheeseburger, fries the size of potatoe sticks and a Salad the size of burger kings dollar menu. What a waste of 50$! Will not be returning to this establishment. Should have went somewhere else.

Food is awesome . If you like a good veggie burger , this is your place . It has a rustic barn style feel and everyone is super friendly and helpful . It definitely helps to make reservations or otherwise youll have a lot of trouble finding seats . Its a casual or nice dressed place . Ive seen both there and dressed as both the times Ive eaten there .

Ate here on a Friday night. It was busy but no wait. Had the Root Vegetables for an appetizer(great). My entree was the 500 day aged Filet(delicious), my girlfriend had the Hanger Steak(phenomenal). They have a great wine selection which we tried a few glasses of as well. Carrie was a great waitress and explained anything we had questions about.

While on a business trip to Rutland, I had the privilege of dining at Table 24. Beyond the wonderful ambiance, knowledgeable waitstaff and lovely wine selection, the food was absolutely superb! From appetizers to desert this place was fantastic! I will definitely visit anytime I happen to be in Vermont.

Food was excellent. Nice grill, good options, creativity and serving all exceeded expectations. Waiter was very weird, maybe he was new. Try the grilled asparagus and the mushroom risotto if youre vegetarian. Creme brule is a big serving, enough to share for two people.

Very upscale yet casual atmosphere. Food was amazing. The jerk chicken gouda fondue was absolutely superb. Both my wife and I completely loved our entrees as well. Sever Vicki was phenomenal and super attentive. We will definitely visit again if we are in town.

Ordered the special crab fritters and was blown away. The bread they bring when you sit is delicious . The food is wonderful, everything Ive tried in my last 5 visits. Absolutely love it here! Also, the wood fired swordfish steak special is the best Ive ever had.

This is hands down the best place to eat in Rutland, VT and maybe even in all of Southern, VT. I eat here regularly and the Bomo Burger with Chevre (goat cheese) and bacon jam is one of the best burgers Ive had in my life. Go here NOW, you owe it to yourself!!

It was a funny experience because I asked them to cook the meat more than the way it was initially served, and they brought it back exactly the same hoping I was drunk enough not to notice they didnt roast it extra. But on the other hand cocktails are good.

Best restaurant in Rutland. Fresh, wood- fired entrees with fresh, local ingredients. Brittany is awesome, but youll need to sit at the bar. Get the fondue! Wings are also great. Soup of the day is good every day... love this place.
