Ive twice had takeout from here after tonight, and I had a really hard time giving them 4 stars after the first order... Originally we ordered a couple weeks after opening. They were out of brisket so I ordered the ribs, which I cannot recommend to anyone. Overpriced, dry not, and not very flavorful. My girlfriend had the pulled pork and that was a bit better but not great. That being said any restaurant will have their issues shortly after opening and anyone who thinks otherwise is probably a bit short sighted. After many months, tonight I decided to give them another try, and this time they had brisket! I ordered brisket, Mac n cheese and greens. The Brisk was perfect, 10/5 stars. Mac n cheese was awesome as well. Greens were solid. Tonight was a 5 star experience but after the first time, Im not sure if theres a consistency issue or just that they do some things better than others. But I know the brisket is to die for!

Very Good. I went during their second day open for lunch. The atmosphere in the restaurant and even outside on the deck is very nice. The interior is cozy, open, and updated. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Service overall was excellent and we didnt wait long for the food. I had the brisket sandwich with a side of grilled greens. I wasnt overwhelmed with the portions considering the price but it was still a fair amount. The sandwich looked simply fantastic and had amazing texture. Flavor of the sandwich and the side of greens was good. The lunch menu was a little limited but this was the second day open so they will be expanding the lunch menu in the future. Currently they dont have wings or ribs on the lunch menu but hopefully soon! They also do takeout orders and the dinner menu looks very nice.

Great local spot. Service is very friendly. Good selections for lunch, any of the sandwiches are great, but the fried chicken sandwich is top notch juicy and flavorful and highly recommend as well as the brisket sandwhich. For dinner recommend the beef ribs, brisket, and fried chicken as the top three. The smoked polenta looks spectacular and will try on next visit. Only downside I would say is that their pork ribs need some improvements.. so if you are a bbq afficiando pass on those and stick with the beef rib (if you have a hankering for bbq pork ribs Id instead recommend Jericho Cafe down route 15 as a better local option).

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in any food establishment. They screwed up an app then when I told them to cancel it the waitress tried get me to take it with my main course. The food is horrible, one person has received a cold plate at my table, and took 5 extra minutes to get her plate. The drinks were empty with no one asking us if we would like more. The owner did come out and speak to us, which is very appreciated. However in my upset mood I was in no mood to listen her. But because of this expierience I will not visit or recommend it to anyone.

Food is fabulous. We have been back 7 or 8 times with friends and relatives and everyone has enjoyed the food. The fried chicken is our favorite; large portion, basically half a chicken; crisp, moist and flavorful. The pickled plate is always good and ever changing with a variety of vegetables. The brisket is the best you will find in the Northeast. They also carry a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles (local and national) and always something new and interesting every time we go. You cannot go wrong with Pork and Pickles. Truly a hidden treasure.

Loved it! We ordered three different items so we could all try different entrees. The portions for the entrees are huge! I had the beef ribs which I rarely see offered at most places. It was amazing. My wife had the fried chicken and she said it was among the best she has had. My daughter is a pulled pork expert and loved her plate. Well be back and I look forward to trying other items on the menu. Love the low key atmosphere and it had a good beer selection

Probably the worst St Louis style ribs Ive ever had. Burnt, dried out and severely over cooked. Maybe made yesterday or even before that. All fat was burned off. Ill try and post a picture. Cornbread was drier than the cheapest box mix Ive ever had. Smashed potatoes was the best item I had ordered. $23 potatoes basically. Maybe try the pulled pork but do not have the ribs. Doubt they will stay in business long.

Food was pretty good, but the prices were very high for what we got. Appetizers are small plates, entrees were OK but again didnt reflect pricing. We had a beer each, one appetizer and two entrees and the bill was almost $70 not including tip. Honestly, I wanted to love it and try and support small business, but this place just didnt do it for us.

If you are familiar with the Burlington food truck scene, the owner here also runs the Lazy Farmer. This is the same price point as Bluebird BBQ. I prefer this spot over Bluebird as I dont feel heavy after eating here, but am still full. This place also has a great fried chicken sandwich during lunch.

Warm and welcoming staff great food time and time again. The owner is always either cooking or out in the dining room sitting guests. Simple but ever changing beer selection and well curated wine list. Working on liquor in the future (or so the rumors go)

Ordered sandwiches for lunch, and they were all very good. Medium portion size and pretty quick cooking time. Not a large location, but includes some outdoor seating, and the food was tasty!

I like this place. Nice environment. I met Chris, the owner tonight, he seems like a really nice guy. My favorite waitress there is Brittany, the short, blond one... such a nice girl.

Fried Chicken sandwich was amazing the brisket was pretty good we had to ask for our food to go because the bar stools were less to be desired, way too small.

Great food, pleasant staff. Beef rib is a little weird, but worth the experience even if you dont like it. Fried chicken is the best weve had in Burlington

Good food, service was a little slow. Sit outside though, inside was smokey from the grill.

A few things were ok but the overall experience was lackluster. Brisket was dry and chewy.

Some of the food was a little too salty, will give it another try with some BBQ.
