I am so happy with the service I received at Karma. They get 5 stars for everything. I have food allergies and sensitivities (shrimp, gluten, etc) and Roma, the owner, and also the coolest lady ever, confirmed with me that my food would be prepared with the upmost care and importance. And she did exactly that. Roma personally prepared my meal, and I can tell that she cooks from her heart and her soul. She has a passion to serve others and I appreciate that so much, especially when someone such as me with food allergies has a hard time finding restaurants that are "safe" to eat at. She made me feel very confident in dining in her BEAUTIFUL restaurant. I got the coconut chicken curry and gluten free naan. She made it all to order special for me due to my sensitivities. (All of their food is made fresh to order). The food was nothing short of amazing. The gluten free naan (for all you gluten free people out there) is so amazing. I recommend getting it with garlic. :) The restaurant was clean, had a lovely ambiance that was very relaxing and inviting, and the customer service I received was impeccable. I love when I can have down to earth conversations with the people who work in the food industry. It makes my dining experience much more enjoyable. It makes me feel like they care about their customers. I recommend Karma 110%! Living in Sandy is tough finding restaurants that arent chains, that serve alcohol, and have wonderful, authentic food. My husband and I will definitely be coming back again and again! If you are vegan or have food sensitivities, this is a WONDERFUL option for anybody looking to try delicious, authentic Indian food! Thank you, Roma and family! -Audrey

My wife and I love Indian food and decided to try this place out because we had a "buy on entree get one free" coupon. We arrived at 7pm on Saturday and there was only one other customer. The waitress was very friendly and provided good service. We picked entrees that were listed on our coupon. The top of the menu says that rice was included in the entree. The food was good, but not the best Indian Cuisine we have had. When we got the bill we noticed that we had been charged $8 for rice (they were very small portions of rice too). We asked the waitress and she indicated we had to pay for rice because we used a coupon. We inquired with the manager who told us that you only get rice included if you pay full price. I told her that the menu indicated rice was included as part of the entree. She told me I was wrong and I could think what I wanted but I shouldnt be worried about paying for rice when they provide the best service and food. The food was more expensive than other places that I feel are much better and I was not pleased with management.

If you read my other reviews I can be harsh and I dont often give 5 stars but wow! I as really blown away by Karma. We started with the samosas and in their own they were pretty good. Add the three chutneys and they were elevated to a 4 star level. For an entree I had the lamb korma and it was amazing! I normally ask for the absolute hottest spice level but the waitress recommended that I take it down one notch as the other flavors would pop out more. Great suggestion. The korma was spicy without being overwhelming. It was a perfect balance between the sweetness of the coconut and the savory flavors I crave. We ordered plenty of regular nan to accompany the meal and again WOW! The texture and flavor of the nan was world class good. I had the house red which was recommend with the meal and while more sweet than I typically like in a red was paired well with the korma. This place isnt the cheapest but you owe yourself at least one visit! Careful though, it will be had to eat here just once.

Best in State my ass. This place is an actual joke. We spent over an hour attempting to get a takeout order from here, only to be fed one excuse after another as to why it wasnt ready when we arrived to pick it up when they told us to. While waiting for the takeout order in the lobby we encountered 2 other couples, who had been waiting an astronomical amount of time to receive their food, we all agreed to walk out. There was only one other table of people in the restaurant who also did not have food on their table, we can only assume they are still waiting. This was our second time trying this place. The first time we tried it they didnt start cooking our food until we arrived to pick it up, and made all of the vegetarian dishes we ordered with chicken. I hope to see this place closed permanently the next time I drive by.

Our food came out in spurts, no consistency and by the end it continued to go downhill. We arrived at 8:35, they do not close until 9:30. We had finished our meal and were finishing our beer when the approached the table at 9:45 and said that they were shutting off the lights at the request of the boss. The food was mediocre and the tension could be cut with a butter knife. I would recommend the star of India. The food is much better, the service much more amicable and overall a much better experience. I would say that karma should look at changing the name to Bad Karma for it was a bad experience and not somewhere that I would recommend.

Excellent Indian Food! Weve eaten lots of Indian, all over the country, and this is very good. It might be our new favorite in the valley. We ordered the usual: Tikka Masala, Coconut Korma, & Saag Paneer. We like spicy, and the Tikka Masala was perfect spice at medium (their medium is probably 4 stars on a 5 scale). I was a little skeptical, this being our first time here, because the restaurant was empty (it was a Tuesday). We had good service. Well be back, and hope this restaurant succeeds! Thanks Karma!

First time going and was really impressed. The naan was especially good! It tasted super fresh and had cilantro baked into it. Im all about cilantro, so I was huge fan of their naan and also their tandoori chicken! Definitely eating here again.

Although the restaurant wasnt busy (a weeknight with two other tables seated), it took half an hour for our appetizers to arrive and the server never even took our entree order. We finally put some money on the table and left. Bad karma indeed!

This place has a nice ambiance but the customer service is horrible. The server I had was rude and incapable. I would avoid going to this restaurant. There are certainly alternative options when it comes to Indian restaurants.

The food was excellent. The only issue was the extremely long wait for the meals to get prepared . They were not prepared for a party of 20. The service during the wait was poor. Expect long delays with large parties.
