The place is very small but it has a really nice environment. I recommend to order some appetizers while you wait for your pizza Because it takes a while. The pizza was huge and really good. The biggest size they have is enough for about 12 to 16 people. One of the things that I dont like from this location is their service. Its really bad. The cashier that took our order didnt even smile or said hello when we got there. Once the pizza is ready they have a window where they put the pizza and call up your name, so you can pick it up. When ours was ready they called up two different names at the same time and one of my friends went to pick up the pizza and he took the wrong one, so one of the guys in the kitchen yelled at my friend: "Hey you! Thats not your pizza", my friend turned around and moved out of the way and the same guy yelled one more time: Hey! Where are you going? I have your pizza right here. Just wait right there. Even though the place is loud we could hear everything the guy said to my friend.

The Pie has an amazing atmosphere. I love going into the restraunt with friends, its always a cool experience. The service has been alright, they need to be a little more upbeat. Sometimes I feel like Ive walked into a dungeon with the prisoners serving me when I come to eat at this place. The dough and toppings are great, but the cheese is super chewy. It almost feels like a peice of gum thats been chewed for a while, and it ALWAYS slides right off the crust, leaving me with a saucy piece of dough that I have to scrape the toppings back onto in an effort to eat my piece of pizza. Overall the food is great, and the Cheesy Bites are absolutely amazing. I would recommend you come to this place, the pizza is good, but its still sub-par compared to other pizza places.

For what its worth the food here generally good but on multiple occasion the customer service has been terrible. On this last occasion me and a group of friends all over 26 ordered a large sum of food and drinks. When we never received one of our orders of cheese bread we went to let the manager know. Instead of replacing our order of six dollar cheese bread the manager on duty went to argue how its our fault someone else picked it up and we were trying to scam him (mind you we spent well over 100 dollars on food and we would be scamming him for 6 dollars). This example among other show how poorly these individuals are trained on customer service. There pizza is delicious and a unique part of salt lake just expect that the customer service wont be great.

The Universitys favorite Pizza place, and for good reason. You have to visit the Underground at some point. The whole environment is warm and busy, and kind of unique for this area, with the walls of bricks covered in graffiti art and lit by dim lights and candles. The pizza is delicious and widely varied, so theres something new to try every time. Its a little bit pricey as far as pizza goes, but the increase in quality over the chains exceeds the increase in price. Sometimes theres live music playing, and on busy nights this place gets packed. But its also one of the only places in the area thats open past 10pm. My recommendations: The Chicken Bacon Ranch pie, the Holy Shittake if you like pesto and mushrooms, and the Stromboli Pizza.

I just waited half an hour, no exaggeration, for a single order of spaghetti and meatballs to go. Staff was unapologetic, saying "yeahhh sir it takes a while because we bake it". Ive been here a bajillion times and will go back because its convenient, but it is a consistently mediocre place for food. Pizza is of the non nyc style, sort of like Papa Johns, but more homegrown. They are generous with the toppings, which is a strong suit. Their "vesuvius zappi" is one of the silliest foods possible - its a calzone stuffed with spaghetti. Unless youre 15 years old or running a marathon tomorrow, its heavy on the carbs. If I want nyc style pizza in slc, which I prefer, I do Este or even Pie Hole.

If you are seeking a gut-bomb pizza that is possibly too much to handle and hard to eat then Pie Pizzeria is a good location for you. I go to the Pie about once a year because that is about how often I have a craving that I can trust the Pie to satisfy, but I dont go here if I am looking to impress or appear sophisticated. Every location I have been to is always packed to the brim and most of them with families. The one near the U is packed with college students and is far more ghetto than the rest so that is the one I prefer to go to. If you are going to have an experience then HAVE ONE!

This is one of the best greasy pizza joints in Salt Lake. Its always crowded, especially with U of U students (so dont wear your BYU Cougar Blue). But the food is delicious. The load up the toppings so much it can be a little intense. We had sun dried tomatoes on our pizza once and they loaded a solid half inch thick of tomatoes across the whole thing. I learned you can ask for half the toppings spread across the whole pie and then its the perfect amount. I also love their breadsticks. But I generally stick with the hawaiian pizza and its cooked to perfection every time.

Watch the quality control and management! Absolutely an over-kill, overloaded, overly spicy, soggy crust, unable to be eaten in any acceptable pizza-eating manner....that is the "Pie Combo"...we even had them cut the amount of meat. Wish we would have had them cut the amount of all ingredients on his uneatable huge combo; including the garlic and onions and soggy crust. We now have a heart-attack waiting to happen and heartburn for who know how long. Watch out! Often in Utah once a restaurant becomes the talk of the town, it turns out to be all talk.

I was new to town and a lot of people asked me to check out this place. Few of my friends and I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and buffalo wings. Its a pity we had to do a takeaway so the pizza was slightly soggy. That being said, the taste was more than satisfactory. And oh, the wings were out of this world. Theyre spicy, zesty and come with a delicious dip. You couldnt go wrong with these wings. The ambience is great and the staff are super nice. Highly recommended! I have a strong feeling that Im going to be a regular in the months to come.

Awesome pizza and homemade root beer, but expect it to be pretty expensive for pizza. You can order beer by the pitcher, which is great for groups. Expect the dining room to be super full, loud, and tricky to navigate. No table service--they call for you to pick up your order. If you want the same food without fighting the crowd, go to The Pies takeaway/delivery location just around the corner. Parking can be a beast. Theres paid meters along the street, and there is a small amount of free parking in a tiny lot behind the restaurant.
