Stopped in today for breakfast to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. We chose Biscuts based on the reviews as we are new to the area. I am shocked this place has this many good reviews. Not only was the service incredibly slow, but our waitress who seemed to be a manager or PIC, barked orders at the staff the entire time we were there. She made no eye contact while taking our order and kept looking all around the restaurant. Im surprised she got our order right. Although, I kind of wish she hadnt. Both my husband and I had the Biscut Special, which based on the name of the restaurant, we had high expectations for. Not only were the Biscuts horrible, but my husbands country potatoes were mostly still frozen and his ham steak tasted like anything but ham. I chose the sausage and was saddened to see two obviously frozen preformed pattys on my plate. They were very clearly reheated via microwave and werent even brown. The food and atmosphere is definitely sub par. At least my son was happy with his meal, but hey, its hard to screw up French toast. Definitely will not be returning, and if this place was voted one of the 10 best places to eat in Phoenix Im scared to try another local place.

This restaurant wasnt as good as the reviews led me to believe. First, lets start with the good stuff. The French toast that my wife got and the pancake my daughter got were fantastic. My eggs over light were perfect. The grits were also excellent. But thats the end of the positive stuff. I want to pause and point out that this place is expensive; much more expensive than a little breakfast joint should be. The service wasnt great, and they were scrambling to keep up with customers basic dining needs. What really, really ground my gears on this place was the country ham. I expected COUNTRY HAM! What I got was more akin to Canadian bacon. And for all the other native Raleighites out there, yall know just how disappointing that is! The cashier/manager was quasi apologetic, but it fell kind of flat. She did take two dollars off the bill because of the ham issue, and that kept them from getting only one star.

Great place if you like the old-fashioned Cracker Barrel vibe. Service is great, food is great. I recommend the championship pancakes (seriously) and my wife likes the chorizo scrambler. Really good coffee, too. Id like just a slightly more diverse menu, but its a very minor issue. If you visit, youll be glad you did. Edit: the people who claim bad service here are WAY too entitled. This place is run by old people with old people values (and thats a good thing!) Theyre to the point because theyre busy (which should tell you something) but theyve always been very nice to us. Dont expect them to fawn all over you like a baby. Expect good food, good service and to be treated nicely like a normal human being--not the king/queen of the world.

Biscuits is a dine-in and take out restaurant which is located in Ahwatukee Mercado and it is a family owned and operated business serving breakfast and lunch. The name of the restaurant is actually related to one of their signature dishes namely Biscuits and Gravy. Their menu is extensive with specifics in relation to kids and seniors and also about vegetarian, gluten-free and other special dishes. They have desserts, beverages of all kinds but no alcoholic drinks. The food I ordered was delicious and service was great. The restaurant has all the required accessibility conveniences for adults and children and also for those who use wheel chair in relation to parking, entrance, seating and bathroom use.

Food is good, service not so much. The last two occasions I have came here the service has not been good. The first time, my food was brought out incorrectly so it was sent back to be re-done. Then they forgot about it, the manager was very nice in explaining this, however nothing was done to make up for the service. Second time we went, we were added a 18% gratuity tip on a table of 6 people (3 of them were kids). Not that I wouldnt tip that in the first place but no notice was given to us saying, at breakfast we add gratuity to a table of 6, it was just handed to us at the end. Personally if your going to add gratuity, you should let your customers know ahead of time and the service should match it.

Hey friend of mine recently introduced me to this new place. When I arrived I realize that it was an old taco shop that I used to go to all the time. On this particular day, we both arrived for breakfast because he raved about how great it was. I believe I had over easy eggs with hash browns and turkey sausage with a cup of tea. Our service was excellent along with our server who was very pleasant. Just be aware that when you go on Saturdays that its going to be packed. Other than that if youre looking for a nice place to go have breakfast in Ahwatukee , this is the place. its a good old fashion American breakfast. Thats it. Did I forget to mention that everything is country themed? :-)

This has been my go to spot for breakfast and lunch in Ahwatukee since they opened in 2010. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable for the large portion sizes (Im a big eater and usually go home with leftovers) and the service is always friendly and attentive even when busy. There are 2 other locations also, one in Tempe and the other in Gilbert. All 3 are freeway close. Stop in if you get a chance. I guarantee you will come away fat & happy and dont forget to tip your waitress.

Quintessential breakfast diner and my new favorite in Phoenix. Pancakes are addicting, biscuits soft and fluffy, bacon is thick cut great quality, chicken fried steak is done perfectly here...all I can say is that these people really know what they are doing. Ive been there every Saturday for the past few months and they are consistently on point with food taste and quality which is probably one of the most important things for me. You wont be disappointed!!

First, let me say their biscuits are wonderful -- super buttery, light, and well prepared. Aside from that, their other food is great, too. The atmosphere is comfortable and fun, everyone seems happy, service is good, and everything weve tried is delicious. The restaurant is big enough that even on a busy Saturday we got in quickly. The food at neighboring tables looked wonderful, too. The portions are large, so go when youre hungry!

The food was okay but the service is very hit-and-miss almost to the point to where I felt uncomfortable there I have a business very close to the restaurant and wanted to make that my morning coffee spot but I feel so uncomfortable I tried to go back a couple times and give it a different feel but the experience was the same. Im new to AhwAhwatukee. And I just hope this is not the vibe throughout

The biscuits and country sausage gravy were one of the best Ive ever tasted. Fluffy , not doughy, baked just right. The gravy had just the right amount of slight spiciness. The Denver omelet was larger than expected, tasted good and filling. They were and seemed to stay busy with a steady flow of customers. Server was friendly, but kept quite busy. Will definitely recommend and return.
