My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. Since the restaurant said they allowed dogs on our patio, we brought our pup along and dined outside. The patio is nice, small, but very beautiful with lots of gorgeous plants and trees nearby. The major issue we had was a VERY noisy 4-top sitting right next to us. And being outside, on a quite street and without any background music playing... we were forced to listen in on their conversation the entire night. Maybe had the restaurant had music playing outside, or had we been inside and able to have the typical restaurant/kitchen noise to muffle other conversations, we might have had a better experience. I realize this is bound to happen at a public restaurant, but weve dined outside plenty of times at other restaurants, and no past experience stands out as problematic as this. I think most other places have music playing through the speakers to avoid such quiet settings where you can hear even the most quiet of conversations. The food was good, but definitely not worth the price in my opinion. My husband and I are both slim and never polish off our entrees at a restaurant without taking half of the dish home. However, these portions were significantly smaller than your typical restaurant, and in addition to the flatbread appetizer, we both were able to easily finish off our entrees. Weve tried other fine-dining restaurants in a similar price range, and I feel like these dishes just werent quite good enough to walk away and not feel any sort of buyers remorse. I ordered the house made pasta and my husband ordered the chicken legs. It definitely wasnt a horrible experience, but I have zero desire to return here. The service was really great though. Ive heard other people describe the entrees as a hit and miss, with it being a seasonal menu. So maybe that was just how our entire experience was. Had we not sat by the noisy 4-top, had we sat inside instead of bring along our pooch, had we ordered different entrees... this very well could have been a 5-star review.

If I could give a negative star rating, I absolutely would! I called in to order a large order for my office and right off the bat the lady on the phone was rude! Every time I asked for an explanation she gave attitude while explaining it. Not only that, she clearly doesnt know how to communicate CLEARLY so that people understand what she is trying to explain. I asked for a shrimp salad THAT IS LISTED ON THE MENU, and she told me that they no longer serve it but most people instead get the tortellini, so I asked for one of those.. and she went off about whether I need a specialty salad or the regular salad, and I said no, no, no, its fine just the regular SALAD. (I felt this communication was saying there is the tortellini salad, and one with extra toppings or something.. clearly not the case. I also order 4 paninis, and 1 club sandwich, and a caesar salad. I paid well over $70 for this order, so I feel this should have been right. They charge a 10% delivery fees.. Ridiculous? Sure. But Ill pay it.. We get our food and we are missing our tortellini salad since she ordered a little can of it rather than the full sized salad! Since once again, she did not communicate clearly. THEIR MISTAKE. Moving on... she also only rang me up for 3 paninis rather than 4. When they get here I immediately call them, or course more attitude, and then they agree to bring the salad back.. then I noticed our sandwich was missing.. even though THEY didnt charge me for it in the first place, now they want to charge me a $15 delivery fee instead of the 10% which is the normal rate! Because in the managers own words... "Its not even worth the money to go out there." So you she charged me 2x the amount of what I should be paying for THEIR mistake. This company is horrible, and do not know how to own up to THEIR mistakes. Definitely wont order from here again and I suggest you dont either!

My wife and I came here because of the reviews and it was a mistake.I wouldnt call it a deli at all, it was more of homemade leftovers. I ordered the lasagna, macaroni and cheese for my son, and chicken cordon bleu and coleslaw for my wife. Im no food critic nor am I a connoisseur, but I enjoy food and this was not what it was hyped up to be. Everything is already precooked, then put out on display, then microwaved or heated in an oven when you order. Our food wasnt very warm at all, at the center it was lukewarm at best. The food looks great but is no better than the mainstream b.s. you can get anywhere. The atmosphere wasnt all that great either. To sum it up, if your looking to look cool, posh, hip, chic, or sophisticated then this is the place you want to waste your money. If youre looking for good food thats memorable look somewhere else.

Just and FYI to clients of Cucina Deli....be careful if you do business with them. I placed a catering order from them last month for delivery to a corporate aircraft flying out of the Park City area. There was some disagreement through conversation with Dean (the owner) on our departure time and their delivery time, however even if I go off his time, the delivery was late. Late to the point that we had to depart before the delivery driver showed up with our catering order. When I brought this to the attention of Dean, his response was that it was our staffs fault and that his staff was not responsible, even though he admitted the delivery was late. Although Ive been told their food is great, I dont know because I never received it, but I was charged full rate it.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner rocks excellence! Fresh Whole Foods choices with very good service. Great indoor & outdoor seating. A Salt Lake City gem hidden in Avenues Neighborhood near the University area. A nice place to chill and very cozy for conversations with friends. Delectable wine list pairs very well with the continually evolving stellar dinner menu. Lunch offers an incredible array of homemade entries, with fruit & veggie salads. My favorites are the rare beef Thai salad, and a 4 salad plate. Breakfast Burrito is made with good fresh ingredients, and the coffee is good. If this place happens to be too crowded, check out the 3rd Ave Bistro for another excellent choice.

I love the food here, but the last few times we have gone in to pick up from the deli the staff has been really unorganized. After we ordered they didnt call our name and tried to walk around us looking for who was picking it up in the restaurant. Just call out the name when an orders ready so your customer isnt waiting unnecessarily. We got the feeling we dont look like their normal customers and thats why they acted confused... But we all pay with the same money and should be treated the same. Good thing its delicious and convenient or we probably wouldnt be back.

Their featured dinner items were a roasted beet tagliatelle dish and a seared tuna dish with coconut rice and a curry sauce. I opted for the tuna and was so pleased with my choice. The fish was perfect seared, the coconut rice was perfect, and the curry sauce was so flavorful. The polenta appetizer was delicious as well - crisp on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside. Im excited to go back again and try something else, but would also happily get the exact same meal again.
