German Sausage Co is not the restaurant that is closed that is seperate but right next to it. It was the former German Corner Bar & Grill then became Black Forest Mill..they have closed down. German Sausage Co the property owners are due to open a new restaurant this fall they are in the process of remodeling. Watch for the opening as their homemade sausages are already great...and they have a large selection of imported groceries from Germany..

I lived in Germany for 8 years and I miss the food. When I lived in Phoenix I would routinely find my self stopping here for cold cuts and what have you. Additionally I would be buying salad dressing and Löwensenf to send back to my family in Minnesota. Stopped back by on a Saturday in June when I found myself back in Phoenix and they even had Leberkäse Semmeln ready to go!

The selection of meats is outstanding. There is also a good variety of jarred goods, such as sauerkraut and pickles, and dry goods. It is posted outside that they do not accept card payments, so stop at an ATM. Commit to a pack of the landjäger, because it is that good. And, sometimes, they sneak a little treat in the bag for me. Dont forget to say Danke.

Friends visiting from Bavaria called this an authentic German butcher, noting the clean leather aprons, spotless shop, and great variety of important sausages! I especially love the Landjaeger (kind of like a pepperoni stick) and the fleischsalat, a sausage and pickle salad that sounds awkward, but is actually delicious!

"Took more then 10 minutes to buy a slice of cheese I just left" Boo Hoo... "Doesnt take Apple Pay". Says cash or check only right on the webpage. Learn to read. This place has got the goods if you are into ethnic German food. Wish there were more places like this in the valley.
