I used to eat here all the time because I lived so close and back then it was good. I tried it again yesterday with my family, we were in the area, and it was gross. Everything we ordered was wrong (we didnt want combination plates, we ordered the entree and I even pointed, they came in combo plates anyway. I asked mine to not be spicy, it came spicy). Then when we got our food part of mine was cold, another dish we ordered was rubbery. The servers seemed more concerned about making fun of other customers and talking amongst themselves in their native language to hear our order correctly. Same waitress I had from when I used to go there often. Very disappointed. Paid and left, went somewhere else to eat.

I was on my way home from S. Ogden and craving chinese food and decided to give this place a try for take out. What a mistake. When I walked in the staff was sitting down and eating and I stood there for almost a whole minute before one of them asked if I needed help. The food was inedible. From the soup, to the entree, to even the egg roll (how do you screw up an egg roll?!), I couldnt eat any of it. The fried rice tasted either over cooked or old and my szechaun chicken was nothing but soggy breading with a center of hard chicken. I took about two bites of everything and threw it all out. Avoid at all costs!

I love Chinese food and I have it all the time. I moved to Ogden UT a few years ago and have explored all the Chinese restaurants in the area. Golden Jade is by far the only restaurant that offer authentic tasting Chinese food. They offer dinner specials that include one main dish as well as soup, egg rolls, wutons, etc. Their food is absolutely delicious, and it is the favorite restaurant among the WSU students in the area. The restaurant itself looks like a dump, so take outs are much more common than eating in.

I would do 3.5 but 4 is good. They were very friendly and helpful worth what to eat. My hubby got orange chicken dinner combo he said the sweet and sour chicken was better then the orange. we could have shared it there was so much food. He did not like the egg roll however. I got mixed veggie chicken dinner combo, hate mushrooms but it was delicious so much food as well. It came with so much food I will be eating left overs for days.will come back.

Meh. Decent prices, large portions, boring flavors. The meat in my dish was so deep-fried that it was chewy and tough and each bite was mostly deep-fried skin, so that there hardly seemed to be any meat inside at all. Overall the flavors were just very bland and we relied heavily on soy sauce. You get what you pay for, right? I wont discourage anyone from going, but I wont waste my time or money there again.

LOVE the Lo Main, I always try this at different places and it has become my measuring stick for all Chinese and Japanese restaurants. I love the Yakisoba I use to get outside the Gate Camp Hansen back in the day (1986). So all is compared this that memory. As had been said, huge portions, we can usually pack some up for a lunch the next day and still be full, love that. Great dinner and then a great lunch.

This is a slop house. The portions were huge. They put way too much food on one little paper plate. Kids cant help but get half of it on the floor. The fried rice had no vegetables and was brown from dirty grease. The egg rolls were oozing with grease. The chicken was okay. The lady just plops your food down with zero customer service and they are expensive...yuk Also, all dishes are disposable.

My husband & I have frequented Golden Jade for a couple years now. We go about every month & a half. I love that we get egg drop soup, egg roll, ham fried rice, and our meal that we ordered. The place is always clean. The employees are very friendly. The service is always quick. For some reason, it is never crowded & there is never a wait, so we can be in & out quick. Its up on Harrison by Javiers.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I have been here a lot and never had bad food. They have really good wantons and huge entrees for a very cheap price. Literally everything ranged from $8.99-$11.99 and you got enough food to feed two people with one entree. They have many different options to choose from and everything I have tried has been fantastic.

My visit here with my wife was a pleasant surprise. The food is delicious! I had Chicken and Chinese vegetables and my wife had Chicken Lo Mein. Both dishes were great. The crab cheese wontons where the best Ive ever had! The ambiance is lacking unless you prefer diner vs. fine dinning. Service was fast and exactly as we ordered. I will visit here again.

Tried this over the chopsticks restaurant and my wife and I are so glad we went with our instincts because this was by far one of the best fresh tasting Chinese foods weve ate. You get a lot of bang for your buck. My wife ate kung pao shrimp and I ate General Taos Chicken which was superb and we will definitely be back! Thanks for the great service!

Good quick stop for lazy night dinner pickup, I wouldnt recommend on taking your hot dates there. Family run, foam plate. Food is plentiful for what you pay, watch the obesity stream in and out if you do happen to sit there though. If you want authentic chinese food and dont mind the drive, head for South Salt Lake city.

Golden Jade is awesome for affordable Chinese food. They serve you fast, with fresh ingredients, and they make you feel very welcomed and appreciated as a customer. Their lunch menu is priced more than fairly and includes a great selection of delicious fool. Bobby has no clue what he is talking about!

Bobby is an idiot, if I ever see him I think I will punch him in the FACE!!!!!!!! Golden Jade is by far the best Chinese joint in Ogden. The food is fresh, the price is great, and the portions are awesome, and the staff is extremely nice. Try General Tsaos Chicken it is the best!

Always excellent food. Ive tried almost everything on their menu, and it is all great! If you read this review - go and try it! You cant beat their food or the price for the amount of food you get. Especially from a local, family-owned (and operated) business.

I would say "its the best American-Chinese food I have ever had." Everything is PERFECT. I cant find any complaints for this restaurant. Taste lusciously, valuable price, willingness staffs Just one dish and you will be full for a day! Highly recommended!

I liked the wantons, and fried rice but the Lo mein had a very bitter taste as if the sauce was burnt. I couldnt eat them because the taste was so bad. The service was good. They were very quick and polite but low rating because of the burnt Lo mein.

I love this place! Best Chinese food in Ogden! We get the dinner combination plates all the time and 1 combo plate will feed our family of 5! The service is quick and the employees are friendly. The prices are awesome and the food is too.
