if you want to spend around 30 dollars and have it go to either the garbage or vomit on the ground then this is the place. I only ate two bites of my food and my husband not wanting to be rude ate the whole meal trying not to be rude and inconsiderate with me only taking two bites and not even requesting a box. as soon as we reached our house my husband got out of his truck and puked all over. since puking he feels amazing while six hours later Im still feeling sick from those two bites I took. 1. the salsa is in a bottle and taste aweful. 2. your first batch of chips is complimentary then they charge you 2.75 for each basket after that, if I wanted to pay that much for chips Id be better off going and buying a 2 dollar bag from the store and pace salsa (it would be much more appealing). 3. no words can stress enough how bad the food was!!! 4. the rice wasnt mexican rice, it was white rice covered in something turning it a slight yellowish to where it appeared as a plate of maggots. 5. you can buy better enchilada sauce from a grocery store. 6. really a Mexican restaurant with no liquor license. 7. save your stomach and dont ever eat here! I would rather take my $27.65 and go to taco bell, may have diarrhea the next day but its better than vomiting from the taste of the food. this place truly needs to try their own food to reassure what they are selling to people and if its worth the quality they have it priced as. clearly my husband nor myself will ever be going here again. never thought in my life Id be so disappointed I would actually write a review to warn people so they dont experience what my husband did or have an entire meal go to the trash like I did

The food is average but that is not my complaint, It was the way the family restaurant owners handled the situation. I ask for lemon to squeeze on chicken fajita, when the bill arrived there was an extra charge of $1.25. What restaurant charges extra for lemon. It wasnt on their menu as extra nor did the waitress inform me. When we went to pay the bill, I explained that this was my first time at any of La Frontera, and instead of saying we will let it pass this time but next time its our policy to charge for lemon. Instead they said no, you have to pay. At this point, they can keep their lemon as the whole restaurant is lemons to me and would not recommend them to anyone especially when there are soooo many other great restaurants in SLC.

Food is good- when youre in the mood for a smothered burrito. HOWEVER. Dear owners/whomever- When your hours say you are open until 10 pm, then we drive up at 9:40 pm to go through your drive thru (as to not be rude customers who sit down when you are closing soon) and you have already closed- that is incredibly frustrating and honestly was a waste of our time. We checked your hours online, and consciously decided to go through the drive thru to be nice, then drove 20 minutes to get to you- to see that you have closed your doors early. Please adjust your hours if you dont want to be open that late. Its inconsiderate to your customers.

I usually like this location even with the lack of good customer service. Tonight, after working a closing shift at my own job, I didnt feel like making dinner so I came here. I know they close at 10, but doors were closed at 9:45 so I had to use the drive-thru. I then waited for my food and as I was waiting I happened to see them microwave my food inside of the Styrofoam to-go box. I was very disappointed and this will have been my last visit at this location. I dont care much about the doors being locked, but microwaving the styrofoam just lost me.

I come to this restaurant once a week, and I love the smothered burrito. I know others have different opinios about la frontera in Midvale. I have nothing to complaint about. This Place is amazing and their prices are perfect. I like how the staff is friendly and always making sure that yoy are takng care of. I will keep coming and most of my co workers come here a lot. I just find out that you can call in and pick up your orders. I didnt even know thaybhad a drive through. I trully recomend not too expensive, great atmosphere and delicious food.

The only reason for two stars at all is that the server was kind enough and the inside is cute. Otherwise skip it. The only real Mexican was the music. I had chicken quesadilla. It was just unflavored meat pulled from a bone inside a slightly cheesed thick flour tortilla. I ordered rice and it was horrible! The diet Coke from the fountain was fine. I chose to go here rather than kneaders because Kneaders is costly. Id have saved money at Kneaders and enjoyed it more.

This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that has a drive up window and they still have some of the best smothered burritos in Utah. The drive through is extremely convenient and the wait is usually 5 minutes max. If your stuck on which Mexican restaurant to go to look no more! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves fresh made Mexican Food or who is in a rush and doesnt want to settle for fast food. You truly can get your cake and eat it to lol

Posted hours are ignored by staff, often closing much earlier. Example: posted time 10pm, doors locked and staff leaving 9:40pm. Sundays closed on 02/05/2014 7:40pm posted that they are open 10am to 10pm. I realize it is up to the business on operating hours, but post the hours for your customers so they dont waste gas or time. The food is good, but this just makes me want to go elsewhere.

Smothered burrito every time. You load it up with beans and rice and cheese and it doubles in price. Stick with just the burrito itself and youre looking at 6 bucks without tip. Never tried anything else personally. Wife has ventured out and has enjoyed what she ordered. Chips and salsa are good. Salsa has been said to be on the spicy side but I dont think so. Not hardly.

Not Good ! ! ! Great service, good prices... BUT the food is VERY VERY average at best. Can not get a margarita or even a bottled beer. AND your clothes will smell like the inside of a Mexican grill when you leave. They definitely have a serious problem with ventilation from the kitchen. NOT GOING BACK

A delightful place to eat. Clean! I would recommend the chicken tostada for a low calorie healthy meal and the bean and cheese burrito smothered in their amazing green chili for something to fill you up. Their beans and rice are fresh and so is their salsa (hot). Their chips are very tasty as well!

Just about the grossest food. I had the guacamole salad and the onion was so overpowering that it ruined the taste. The fajitas were just about the same: the beef was old tasting, the dish needed salt and more seasoning; the flour tortillas were the star of the dish. Not headed to this place again.
