This place is funny. Its kind of a fast food chain store bakery but local...ish. They are still locally headquartered and only branch out to 47 shops in a handful of western states. I will give them this, its a higher end space aiming for cozy shop feel. The menu is very diverse to please just about any customer and their breads are all super tasty. But generally they are utilizing fast food techniques to make hot food quickly. From what research I have done they seem to use generally good ingredients especially veggies but there are still a lot of classic bleached flours and ultra processed baking ingredients. The sweet breads and breakfast sandwiches are a perfect morning grab and go and the service is very friendly and helpful with any questions... PLUS the breaky sammis are made on croissants!... yum! So all in all if Im in a place that is surrounded by box stores and chain restaurants this would win. If Im back in Portland surrounded by amazing eateries with no chain store for miles I would chose the more local joint with fresh local ingredients and no additives.

You know, Kneaders has always been one of my favorite places to eat and until tonight I would of recommended it to everyone. Tonight changed that though, my boyfriend went to go pick me up some food because Ive been extremely sick lately and we ordered a French dip(which is our number 1 fav, usually), broccoli cheese soup, a loaf of pumpkin bread and a sprite. When he originally got the order they have him the sandwich and soup and told him to have a good day. He realised he was missing 2 if those things and went back inside asking for them. They gave him the bread but once again forgot the drink! He just blew it off and came home and started to eat his French dip when he opened the box and tried to take a bite, he was unable to.. He literally could not even get his teeth through the bread it was so hard and stale and you could tell the meat was too. If we didnt live so far away I would of drove back myself but I have never had stale bread so bad that you cant even get your teeth thru it. Sooo upset that we give them so much service and then this happens. So frustrated!!!

Monday 6/13/16 I went through the drive through about 6 PM. There was one vehicle at the menu ordering when I pulled up. I ordered a loaf of sour dough bread. There were a total of two cars in front of me as I pulled around the corner. I know it can seem a lot longer while waiting in a car and I am not positive, but it felt like at least 10 minutes until I came to the window. I was asked if I wanted the bread sliced, I said yes then gave my card to pay. Shortly after my card was handed back I was told there isnt any sour dough bread, and would l like to choose something else. At this point I was very frustrated and declined another option and asked for my money to be refunded. I waited a bit more and was given cash. I can understand making things fresh will yield outages, and can even be a bit forgiving not realizing when I placed the order that there wasnt a full loaf available. Taking my money and asking if I wanted it sliced however is terrible service. The good news is Harmons had a delicious loaf of bread for almost half what they were charging.

I have been to some Kneaders that are awesome and some that are just okay. Today this one was just not good. I ordered a the southwestern salad and it had quite a bit of wilted lettuce in it. I tried to pick it all out and then eat what was left, but by that time eating a $7.50 salad just became a chore. I went and complained and asked to speak to the manager, and she offered to fix me a new salad or refund my money. By that time I had no appetite for anything from there, so I just got my money refunded. I think the manager handled the problem good, BUT I also feel like they shouldnt have been allowing their lettuce to get so wilted in the first place. Also, the bag of "bread ends" that I got was half as full as the bread end bags that I have gotten from the Kneaders in Park City. If every experience at this Kneaders was like this, then I would have given only two stars. I am hoping that this was just a bad day for the restaurant in general and will give them another chance at a future date.

Super Awesome
Good service, bad cooking oil. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches for eat in. Neither tasted good because theyd been cooked in rancid cooking oil. Meat tasted bad. Eggs had a hard, thin, nasty tasting oily crust all around the edge. Hazelnut sandwich bread was great though it was really only one slice cut in half. Reordered pancakes. Syrup was delicious. But bad taste is left in our mouths from the rancid oil all the food had been grilled with. Phoned just now to let management know so they could change out the old oil. Assistant manager (female with Asian accent) said the food had just left and was on its way. :o) I re-explained that we ate in the restaurant almost two hours before and what the problem was. Hopefully between talking with the server and asst manager the problem gets addressed. Time to go brush teeth and use some mouthwash to get rid of that bad taste.

My family and I go to kneaders often for breakfast. Always so amazing, Until we went to the location on fort Union Blvd. Such a bad experience! Their French toast is not very good at all, tastes like they use old bread. There is no seating! We had to stand up and eat because all they had was a two seater high table for my family of 4,right in the sun... And no one was leaving, all just sitting around talking...When I went to go get a refill French toast, I waited for like 5 minutes( but they did give me 2 :))! I did get a ham egg and cheese croissant, and that was really good... Thats about it from the experience. This was the second time we have tried their breakfast, hoping it was a fluke:/ but no, both times we experienced the same problems. We will no longer go to that location. Lindon kneaders is ALWAYS amazing! And Saratoga springs comes second in quality, service and seating!

Absolute worst customer service Ive ever had. I placed an order online (and paid for it) earlier tonight. Arrive and notice the line is out the door. Figure they must have another register to pick up to go orders so I make my way to the register where Im ignored my multiple employees. Finally able to flag someone down and explain I placed an online order and paid for it and was promptly told Id have to wait in line. I noted an order on the counter behind the register all bagged up and figured it was likely mine and just "sorry youll have to wait in line". 30 minutes later I finally make it to the register and was handed said bag. Seriously, what is the point of ordering online?!?!?! To top it off they were out of the drinks we ordered. Management should review their "to go" procedure because the current process is awful. Terrible experience.
