Terrible. Rude service and mediocre food. Not one good reason to ever eat there again. We stopped for dinner after a concert and they were open with other customers inside. It took forever to order because they had put most of their menu items away because they were planning to close in 15 minutes. They would not make most flavors of shakes because they had put so many things away. They didnt have many regular menu items available. We finally got the order from their now very limited menu and it took forever. When we sat down to eat, they VERY RUDELY threw us out because they wanted to leave right at closing time. If they had to leave right at closing time they could have at least been nice about it. Maybe they could have hurried and prepared our food so we would have time to eat it. The food never has been very good, the service was terrible and the people are rude. Not one good reason to ever eat there again.

I find myself there joining my car enthusiasts friends on the occasional Friday night. To be honest the quality of how the burgers are made is a 4/10. Im not a fan of the type of bun they use for starters and I have asked for no Tomato several times and received a tomato every time. The sauces added to the burger are only globbed on to one spot and not evenly spread out, the bacon is very good however. The fries have no crisp and needed to be cooked slightly longer, also assure you get as much oil off the fries as possible or they will go soggy way too fast. In the long run, i will be coming back every now and then this summer and i would really like to see improvement. What can push the burger from a 4 to an 8 is just so simple and takes a few seconds. If i dont see improvements i will show up to the car gatherings with dinner from somewhere else.

Our family has enjoyed eating at the burger stop for years, until last night. My grandson played his first tball game, we wanted to do a little celebrating....what better place than the burger stop??? Two members of our family ordered corn dogs, after the second bite they found the hot dogs were still frozen inside, my wife goes to the counter explains the problem and so the counter help orders two additional corn dogs. Several minutes go by and here comes the replacement corn dogs, after the second bite of the new corn dogs we at least dont find frozen corn dogs but very cold hot dogs, both of my family members stop eating and are ready to find another place to eat. I wont even comment on the hambugers, 20 + years of great experiences at the burger stop now its time to find another place for new memories.

Was really excited to try this, looked like a cool joint! Was really disappointed with the food though.. asked for a bacon cheese combo with no tomato add pickles... food came out and looked great! However it had tomato and no pickle.. they also took the onion off which I was really sad about because thats the best part of a burger in my opinion.. so I took it back to get pickles and onions they took the tray (seemed very annoyed) they added pickles and left the tomato on there but still didnt put the onions on there! Wouldve been a good burger if whoever cooked it wouldve made it right. Aside from that Bethany was great! Definitely will not be going there again and will not be suggesting it to anyone.

Just went there today, ordered a Double Stopper and received a single with hardly any condiments so it was so dry the lettuce was yellow chopped bitter lettuce that it was uneatable. When I called and tried to talk with the manager Sherrell S and she was just argumentive. This used to be a great place to get a good burger... but how it has gone way down hill. I would agree with the other review below about the "thin" meat patty but that is why I order the double, but didnt get it. And just in case the owner questions if I really went there (like he did another review) here is the info of the sale. 3/4/2015 at 11:09 Check no. 40.

Burger Stop offers some of the freshest food that youll find in or around Layton. Everything is made-to-order so you are guaranteed hot and fresh food, nothing stale thats been sitting under warming lights for hours. The atmosphere at Burger Stop is great for families - very nostalgic and friendly. Your whole family will love eating here. We havent found a thing on the menu that we dont love but some of our favorites are the breakfast burrito (make sure you are hungry, it is HUGE), the burgers, the fresh sandwiches and, of course, the shakes. Everything here is top-notch, including the service. Go here! You wont regret it.

Horrible experience. The OWNER has no customer service skills at ALL. I used to eat at this location all the time. I try to keep things local and wanted to support a local business. I NEVER go to the many chain burger places in the area. The food is okay but I wanted to keep my money local. Never again. I called to voice my concern with how I was treated and I was told he didnt care about my business and hung up on me. I have never been yelled at in the drive through when I ask a question about a item on the menu. Unbelievable. I will never return. I encourage other people to do the same.

It was very dirty inside, looked like the floor hadnt been swept in a week, counters were dirty, tables were sticky, food was mediocre, tried their new jalapeño bacon burger, it was not very good, expected fresh jalapeños, instead some weird soggy battered fried jalapeño stuff, not a good recipe, rethink that one. And to top it off the staff lerped around like they didnt want to be there. First time going, and will also be the last, should have gone to wendys, it would have been better.

I used to love this place when I lived in Layton (ten years ago) and Ive gone a few times each year since when I am craving a shake but I think I am done going. The food isnt what it used to be and the cleanliness of the establishment, let alone the smell of a spoiled cleaning rag makes me worry each time that I am going to get sick. I kept going back thinking they were just off days but Ive decided thats just the standard now if I only go a few times a year and havent had an on day.

This place is a local establishment with a reputation for community involvement. Burger Stop has a 50s diner motif, but quality and price is closer to modern specialty shops like 5 guys or Habit, but with a bigger menu. Expect to spend around 10 bucks a diner or more. If thats a bit steep for ya, they do issue a lot of coupon flyers and specials. Keep your eyes peeled if you want to save a couple bucks.

I really loved this place. They have good food and they were pretty quick about making it too. I ordered a Jr. pastrami burger. Kind of tasted like bologna and a burger combine. Was pretty good. I also had their chicken strips and I think I liked those better. They have a contest there if you eat a huge burger on under 30 minutes you get a free t shirt. Fun challenge to do.
