first off when me and my family pulled into the parking lot i nearly slipped and fell due to the sidewalk had not been shoveled from the recent snow storm that went by 30 min prior to when we arrived we notified the staff the the sidewalk was way slippery and someones gonna get hurt if they fell and the management completely threw it off and told us they just put salt down ( ya thats why i almost fell sure) anyways when we went to get our food most of it looked either under cooked or burnt i got a salad and some pizza to start salad was good but the pizza yes being a buffet restaurant i know sometimes it can be a td under cooked but this was soggy but edible then i went for some more and decided to try their meatloaf wich looked good to me it was cooked just enough for me to try but was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay spicey i come to find out it had jalapenos which i didnt mind due to i like some hot spices but evrey but i took all i tasted was the peppers no flavor at all of meat loaf i also got some steak fries and they tasted like they been in the freezer for months on end and were totally bland even with me putting salt on them my mother went to ask about the spices in the meatloaf due to my grandmother can not have any hot spices due to allergies and we saw no sign saying what type of peppers only to be shown by management the recipe on the back wall by the restrooms what the recipe of the meatloaf was (really whos gonna ask all the time what in every single recipe all the time every time) our server we had at least was really nice and could not believe mangement was acting the way he treated me and my family i know one things for sure i will not be going back here again if the management is gonna treat its customers with disrespect no i wont go back again and will not recommend it to my friends to go either.

Was slightly disappointed with the Layton Utah location this past Sunday. 1. they no longer have Pepsi products which was a real bummer. Not everyone likes coke, my suggestion is to carry both vendors to accommodate customers. Just a thought. 2. my son asked not 1 but 3 separate employees about getting some more fish on the buffet. He was told by those 3 employees it would be a few minutes each time he asked. my son stood there very patiently for over 15 min. Finally a very sweet server named Michelle, who by the way was amazing, got management involved. The manager expedited the fish for my son and even gave it to him in a to go container for the long wait. Had she not been so awesome I would not be giving a 3 star rating it would be a 1. Michelle gets a 10 though as she was simply awesome and she went above and beyond to make sure my son got his fish fillet. I wish the other employees had her passion. I also noticed that the buffet was not up to its normal standards, there were a lot of things empty and there were dirty plates in with the clean ones. We often attend on sundays and have not been impressed the last couple times we have gone in. I hope that some adjustments can be made and we can enjoy our visits again as we have in the past.

The food was great and so was the waiting staff except for the employee at the entrance who definitely had an attitude problem. We lined up at the wrong side and he mumbled words unprofessionally under his breath and said that it is a shame that we cannot be helped on the wrong side. This individuals name is Adrian. I did mention that is everything alright with him and if he is good. He couldnt recognize that he should have apologized but I assumed that he was probably having a bad day. Regardless of how his day is going he needs to provide better service and fake a smile in order to make customers feel welcome. Golden Corral has always been a favorite of mine especially providing great respect to the Armed Forces. This is my first unprofessional experience with Golden Corral. I didnt want to create a scene or address the issue at the time since I was trying to be a good host with visiting in-laws. I hope that this individual will be addressed accordingly before my return to the Layton Golden Corral.

I think Buffets are great. For a nominal fee you gain access to a wide variety of foods and flavors that far exceeds anything you could experience at a traditional restaurant. I think some Golden Corrals may have different offerings depending on their location so my comments may only be relevant to this one. I think they have a great selection here with plenty of options. I would consider them to have more things to try than their only other notable competitor in the area, Chuck A Rama. My wife would argue that the food at Chuck A Rama is actually better on average, but Im not sure if Im convinced of that. I do wish the cost were a little bit lower, but as a small person I have to pay a little bit more than I would otherwise to compensate for the large people who are getting more for their dollar than I am, which seems logical.

Went here on Fathers Day, granted it was busy but cashier didnt smile at all girl taking our drink order seemed distracted and kept rubbing her nose..gross!! Out of certain drinks at the front so had to wait for server at table to get our drink order. Servers took forever to refill our drinks, checked on us once and thats because I waved her down! Food wasnt worth the $14.99 Fathers Day price! Could go on and on about that but it isnt worth it! Light above us had spider webs all over it! Wouldve given only one star if it wasnt for Michelle, she became our server at the end and she was great! We are a Golden Coral loving family who has been to so many different ones and this location is by far at the bottom of our list!! Sorry, but we really left unhappy!!

Well went out with my wife and daughter for mothers day. We arrived around 8:30 were open till 9 we were charged like normal got in and just about everything served hot was old and lukewarm or just plain not available. When my wife asked about the grill she was told it was closed. 2 minutes after 9 another server came over and asked us what food we wanted next so they could close up the rest. Seriously. 2 minutes past closing and a buffet was limiting our choices to whatever we could think of. Summary: CONS: Terrible, old, cold food, limited from the start. Servers pushing us out the door right at close. High price limited options on a fun holiday out for my wife. PROS: Our server was nice. The others were all rude.

I have not eaten at GC in some time. I noticed that the one in Logan closed. I have a family that likes variety. Initially I was overcharged for an additional meal. I had to ask for a refund. The cleanliness was a joke. Dirty plates and silverware. I wanted steak. I asked for medium. I received 3 small pieces, maybe 4 oz. These where charcoal. Much of the food was bland. Many items were gone and I had to come back several times to get what I wanted. Used the restroom the same time as a staff member. HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS. Will be notifing the Health Department. I will never be back! Chuck a Rama is 12 minutes south and is 100% better cleaner and costs A lot less. BEWARE OF DESIESE!
