Best Indian food in the valley, in Bountiful. My wife and I went in on a quiet Monday evening after a little Costco shopping trip. When you shop hungry, you buy too much food and are then too tired to cook it ;-) Taste of India is in a non-descript, high-ceilinged, unit in a strip mall, but it still felt cozy and friendly when we walked in. Obviously a family affair, a young boy and a little toddler girl were quietly running around making us smile and feel at home. We ordered a fried vegetable samosa ($4) for an appetizer. Two hearty samosa were almost a meal in themselves. I ordered the vegetable coconut korma (hot spice, $11). Very tasty, and very spicy! I’m occasionally reminded that not all food in Utah is completely devoid of real heat. Very spicy, but well balanced and I definitely enjoyed the curry and coconut flavors. My wife ordered chicken tika (medium spice, $14). Again, very flavorful with hearty vegetables and large pieces of chicken that needed to be cut up to make bite-sized, but were not overcooked. We had one piece of tandoori roti (whole wheat naan bread, $2). It was enough for both of us to help scoop up the bits on our plate, probably 9” in diameter. We also split a tasty, and very sweet, kheer rice pudding for dessert ($4). They serve beer (yea!), but we abstained this evening. We’ll be back!!!

A 3 really isnt accurate, but it most represents my rating. I think the service is a 4, but the food is a 3. I ordered their lamb curry and garlic naan. Both were tasty, I just prefer Bombay Houses or India Palaces same dishes better. The food seemed a little less rich. Also, their rice is not seasoned as it is at the above mentioned places. The reason I would give a 4 for service is because it was great service, it just wasnt exceptional. They are kind and helpful, they just didnt say much or try to talk with us more than to pour water in our cups. I prefer a connection with the staff.

Amazinggggg the food here is so good!! The garlic naan and the rice here is way tastier than the royal India in Main Street. Ive been to both but taste of India beats them in my opinion. The vegetarian options here are plentiful, including during the buffet, which is awesome. Also, the hours open here are normal and convenient while royal India is closed all day which is kinda annoying. Anyway I love the buffet they serve here too. Great service, atmosphere, and food. Love love love.

This place is amazing! We have tried other india restaurants but this establishment blows those out of the water. The decorations inside might throw you off but the food and service is like the best you could ever get. The food gets to your table fast, and its delicious every time. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and its amazing. We recommend this place to everyone that is an Indian food connoisseur. They even have vegan options which is great.

Ive been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got the chance. It was delicious and the service was great! I had the Chicken Coconut Korma. The owner was great and told me that any of the dishes can be prepared less spicy but I ordered medium and it was perfect. The Naan was also great. The people driving by to go stand in a long line at Cafe Rio are missing out. Give this place a try you wont be dissapointed :-)

Outstanding!! The food is delicious and perfectly spiced. The service is just a good as my meal! Very helpful when I requested non-dairy, gluten-free vegetarian possibilities. Polite and right on time with beverage refills. Buffet offered a nice variety with adequate choices. Clean, lovely and peaceful ambiance to round off an all-together pleasant lunch of delicious Indian fare - a gem in Bountiful, Utah!!

Had a wonderful experience here on a daddy daughter date with my three year old for their lunch buffet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the food was delicious! I recommend the chicken coconut khorma. Very tasty! The owner, Hardeep, does a great job and seems to really care about his guests having a good time. I highly recommend this place!

It was my first time ever trying Indian food. I was a lil skeptical at first becuse i thought it would be to spicy but they have mild, medium and hot options. I tried the pineapple chicken with limon rice and sweet naan. It was the best tasting food I ever tasted. Loved it and the service was excelent. Im definately bringing my friends.

Never had Indian food thought a buffet might be a good way to try a few different things. Its a small buffet but there was nothing that was not warm/fresh tasting and it was all delicious. The restaurant is clean and decorated nice (except maybe some random kites) overall I thought they killed it for a $10 buffet.

The chicken Tikka Massla is very good and I Like there Lunch buffet All you can eat only $9.99 for Indian food and the food is really good my first time eathing Indian food. I like the customer service there really nice if there was more stars I will give them 100 stars for good food and good services

Our hands down favorite East Indian food. We have met the owner several times a very nice friendly fellow. We have special requests from time to time, and the kitchen accommodates us. Such as adding spinach to pannier nan.

I had the lunch buffet, so I cant speak to the full menu. The food was okay, but I wouldnt choose to eat there again. On the downside, the bathroom was not clean. On the upside, The wait staff were congenial and attentive.

If you are not worried about money because it is pretty pricey this is an amazing and exotic place to go. The tiki masala and vindaloos and incredible. Garlic cheese naan was to die for. Service was happy and polite.

Been here too. They also make a GREAT chicken curry. Their garlic naan is awesome. Staff are great, courteous, and really want the customer to enjoy the Indian food experience. Their ice cream is great too.
