This restaurant is great if you are ordering take out. I would have rated it 4 star if it werent for my experience of dining in the actual restaurant. If you are ordering inside, expect Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. This is definitely not a place where you would want to bring a date. I honestly feel like if they stuck to take out orders only they would have a much higher rating. Overall the food was good and their hours are great. They do cook in soybean oil, so you are allergic or already have issues with inflammation, I would request they cook it in a different oil than the soybean oil, which is highly inflammatory. The lamb saag was great, but the chicken tikka Masala wasnt, Ive had much better, it was too milky for my liking. But if you like your chicken tikka Masala more on the milky side then youd love it.

Its better to avoid this restaurant even if they offer you free food. I ordered chicken lollipop and biryani and the food sucks, I think even animals wont eat this food. And when I wrote a review in Yelp, one should be concerned but they are replying as funny , I think they are not serious in this business. If they a review is funny then they should not list their restaurant in yelp or google. My suggestion to everyone is to stop ordering food from this place since they are not concerned about the value of food which they serve to customers. They even try to remove negative reviews from yelp and they ask them self writes reviews about their restaurant in yelp and google through fake accounts. Overall, the food sucks!!!!

I would give it a 0 or -5 if they had such a rating. Worst food and the hygiene totally sucks. I do understand and support cost cutting, but this place has taken the concept beyond imagination, I even wonder how they got their license. It needs a health inspection for sure. We ordered goat biriyani - it didnt even taste like biriyani and worse even, smelled stale. All of us had an upset stomach the day after. They had cleaning sprays right on top of the table and the floor was way too messy. trash can was overflowing that you cannot drop your plate without touching the waste already inside. I want to stop here as I hate to relive the experience. Please do yourself a favor and eat else where or even better, at home.

Authentic Indian food..!! This place looks small but, whatever is there on the menu is awesome. I love their Veg biryani, chicken tikka kebabs, chick n biryani. In week days you get lunch thali which is more than enough for a person and yum. South Indian food is great. They are open Friday to Saturday 11am till 12am. Unlike other Indian restaurants around, this ones serve food till midnight. Owner is very friendly and their cook wow a great cook.

The worst food I have tasted recently. I ordered chicken lollipop but it tastes like chicken dough I think any human wont eat this food. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone. Its better to avoid food from this restaurant even if they give the food for free. Overall the food sucks here!!!!!

Great family owned place. Food was great and so was the service! Dont know what the guy below me is complaining about hygiene. Everything was fine to me and Im also staring at an A health code rating on the window. Anyways, give it a shot and support small business, definitely worth a try.

They have an ultimate goat dam biryani, tandoori chicken, and onion dosa with chicken fry. All served in a time less than we expected. Most importantly Haleem the special dish in the month of Ramadan.... You should never wanna miss Haleem from Dawat Restaurant. Will see you soon Azzu

We ordered food for 120 people for our Navaritri celebration and chef cooked a wonderful food. Folks loved it. Food was supplied on time, extra quantity was provided and was cooked in a true South Indian style, as I had expected. Sincere thanks to the chef and his team !!!!

Wow! OMG! This place is LEGIT. The service was excellent. The food was a 10 out of 10. Amazing flavors and beautiful spices. I was in food heaven. I would recommend this place. They have delivery through Uber and other companies. Must eat here! You wont be sorry.

Very good food. The soda machine is broken and only used to dispense water, but the machine is extremely dirty with stuff caked on it and floating in the little sink thing below the spouts. Would benefit from menu descriptions to the food items for us uncultured few.

Ordered food for 20 people, since it was first time, we were little apprehensive on the quality/quantity but to our surprise it turn out to be really delicious, from garlic naan to mutton biryani and Special mention about chicken makhani everything was perfect.

The worst experience possible. When they mess up, its your fault. When they dont listen on what the customer said, its your fault too. When you get sick from the food its your fault for sure because you chose to eat here. Avoid at all cost

Chicken Tikki Masala Horrible! Rice tastes like its been steamed in a puddle, their Garlic Naan wow. I have not had a bad experience like this with Indian food yet! Tandoori Times 2 is God, compared to this place.

Ordered food through uber. Ordered chicken curry for $9.99. Received a small container with 3 pieces of chicken and the rest was sauce. No rice or anything. What a rip off. Will not order from here again.

Served preserved food, I can smell it. Didnt like the food ( chicken Dum biryani, goat Dum biryani, chilli chicken ) For chilli chicken, they gave another item. Dont recommend, trying food here.

If you are a fan of Indian food, try this one. Moved to Phoenix two years ago and this is the best Indian food so far. Nice people running the place. Reasonable prices. All halal meat too!!

Tried biriyani, chicken curry today. Tasted awesome and the best chicken curry ever had. At the end, tried Badam milk which reminded me the taste in India. Yet to try other dishes...

one of the best place in Phoenix for authentic Hyderabadi biryani. The couple who run this place are awesome and very kind. Must try fish fry and boneless chicken biryani.
