I read they were voted as Best Sushi by BScene Magazine and I believe they deserve it! Wasabi is a small restaurant and almost every single night without fail there is a waiting-list of people trying to get in to have some of Wasabis food (Although the wait usually isnt very long, Ive seen people willing to wait an hour and a half to eat here). I used to not like Sushi that much because I didnt care for raw foods but Wasabis rolls changed my mind, and many of them involve fried or baked fish instead of straight raw fish. There is a wonderful variety of foods on their menu, and I love their house dishes. Also, they are open 7 days a week and dont close during the afternoon so whenever my friends and I are craving Wasabi, its almost always open for us. Their ingredients are fresh, Im told they get multiple shipments in from major cities so the food always tastes great..for a great price too, I dont believe any dish on the menu is over $20. Did I mention they have "Kampai" (like happy hour) and some days they feature sushi rolls for half price? There isnt another place like it in Tyler, and I really dont think you can compare this restaurant to Julians or Shoguns or Yamatos because this is a place you feel comfortable to bring your kids in, as well as partying with your friends. Whenever we go I try to call ahead because it helps you get seated faster, and without a doubt I can say this is my favorite restaurant in all of Tyler.

My husband and I went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. First of all, I was excited that they are open all day -from 11:00 AM to 10:00 on Saturday (I think)! We sat at the bar booth so we could watch the soccer game, so one of the bartenders waited on us. They had a good selection of cold sake, which I thought was reasonably priced. We had edamame and the hamachi appetizer - both of which were very good. We then had four different rolls and one order of sashimi. They serve both traditional and not-so-traditional rolls - I particularly enjoyed the Hawaiian roll that included mango, pineapple & coconut flakes. The escolar sashimi was very fresh. The presentation of the rolls and sashimi was also unique and beautiful. Well definitely be going back!

I love this place! This is my favorite sushi place in Tyler. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND the JALAPEÑO POPPERS to start. You will not be disappointed. I dislike the taste of jalapeños but these are amazing. Try it and fall in love. Other than that, all of the specialty sushi rolls are great, just depends on your own taste! Miss Pac-Man and Snow white are both really good. A must go place of you like sushi, great for dates too! And if the people your with dont like sushi, get new friends..... Just kidding! Theres other GREAT things to get on the menu too. This really is a place for everyone who enjoys good food.

Food was fabulous, waiter not so much. He was more interested in the hostess than doing his job. Every time he came to the table he would ask how things were and after answering he would stand there and wait like we had more to say. I asked for a to go box and usually that means you are ready for your check but instead he brought the box, left and I watched him at the waiters station and eventually he came back but only to fill up my husbands water. I had to ask for the check. He did a good job but he seemed like he was new and wasnt exactly sure how to wait tables. Hopefully this will get better as time goes on.

I have eaten at some of the finest Sushi place over the last 20 years and this is not one of them. WAY over priced which they may have gotten away with of their Sushi was on point but it wasnt. The rice should be a short grain and its not also it was not properly seasoned. I can tell you that all Sushi places in a given area are using the same distributors and the markup here is crazy high. If it makes you feel special to be fooled by a trendy upscale atmosphere, then by all means, waste your money here but if real Sushi at a reasonable cost is what you seek, go elsewhere.

This place has absolutely no costumer service at all!! i went there at 9:10 with a friend and after a long wait they said that they were closed when it states that they close at 9:30. Then after a while i went back there with my other friend to eat there but this time it was even worst. We waited like 30 mins and no one seated us even though there was only like 5 tables occupied, i mean seriously, there was like 20 empty tables.

I used to LOVE eating here. Today, our crab wontons tasted like old grease, the chicken LO Mein tasted like the same old grease flavoring. My Tyler Texas Roll was ok but the shrimp tasted old. The womens restrooms were DISGUSTING. This used to be, hands down, my favorite place for me and my gal pals. Today I took my daughter, because she USED to love it as well, today, we were not impressed.

All around a great place to eat. A great selection of fresh sushi, best in the area in my opinion, with awesome presentation. Other good, traditional foods are available too for those not too in love with sushi. Service has always been great for me whether my party was large or small. A great place to eat for lunch and dinner- definitely a place I would recommend to anyone.

Rude hostesses ,snickering and starring instead of greeting and welcoming .She asked us where we wanted to sit , booth or table we said booth ,she sat us at a booth where the table was still dirty and seat cushion was ripped. .While right across was a booth that looked a lot better and clean with no ripped cushion ,also they sat us. near the kitchen!!

So yummy! I am in love with the green curry, spicy but not too spicy. Joshua was our waiter and did a fantastic job. He always made sure our drinks were full, and that we were pleased. He didnt hover and wasnt fake nice (I hate that)...he was very down to earth and professional. We will be back for curry at Joshuas table!

Great little restaurant. The food is incredible. The rolls are the best I have ever eaten. It did take a little while to get our table, but it was worth the wait. Our waiter, Caleb, was fantastic. He knew the menu and our glasses were never empty. I also recommend the jalapeno poppers. Wonderfur. I will come back soon.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I came here with my family and waited at least 20 minutes for a waitress to make contact. Its a shame when restaurants cant get their service together enough to present the customer with a full experience. Never did try the food since we got up and walked out.

Great food!!!! I recommend the G.M. roll, its the best!! If you dont like spicy food, the jalapeños are placed on top, so you can take then off. Also if you like your fish cooked, the Tyler Texas roll would be the one for you!! BEST Sushi in town!!! Love it!
