Fabulous wine bar in Houstons Midtown, great upscale feel. Huge wine list, with a giant selection of those wines served by the glass. They serve half glasses too and will let you try a tasting before you commit to a glass. They focus on old world wines. You will find a lot of Italian and French wines on the list, not many new World CA wines. The service is top notch. Tell your server what you like and she will make some great recommendations. Thats just the wine... The meat & cheese plates are really good. The meats are freshly sliced. The paninis are also very good. The atmosphere here is very classy but casual. I was here from 5:30 p.m. Until 8:30 p.m. and awhile it got busy I was still able to enjoy a conversation with friends. This is certainly one of the top wine bars in Houston.

I have been coming here since it opened and it is my absolute favorite wine bar in town. The building is 1920s era Mediterranean style and when you walk in you feel like you are being transported away. They have a huge wine selection from all over the world that can compliment any palate as well as a nice bottle beer selection. Their meat and cheese selections are fantastic and the servers/bartenders are very knowledgeable and are always willing to help you select something that you will enjoy. I would recommend anyone and everyone to visit 13 and experience all that they have to offer.

Met up with a date here on a Sunday afternoon to try out their half price glass of wine deal. The atmosphere was laid back and really chill. We sat inside but on a nice day there are a few tables outside that would really be nice to sit at! I really enjoyed the experience and it was a definite plus that it is within walking distance of my house. I will definitely be going back!

Each time I visit 13 Celsius, I have an even better time. The establishment is chic, comfortable, and inviting. They have a wonderful selection including seasonal wines, delicious food, and lest I forget Houstons 2013 Sommelier of the Year, Adele. She and her staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. If you ever want a quiet place to spend an evening, this is where you should go.

This place is awesome, but wish it had a better location. Good place for a date or small groups Great decor, great tables/chairs, servers are very knowledgeable and attentive. Cheese selection is excelled. Not a wine drinker, but prices looked good and selection looked extensive Was surprised on my last visit to find out they have $1 beer specials. ONE DOLLAR BEERS! GOOD ONES!

This is one of the most comfortable spots in Houston to just hang out and enjoy life. A great place to drink wine and chat with friends. They have a huge wine selection that you can buy by the bottle or the glass. You can get small bits like meat and cheese plates, or a panini. The staff are friendly and helpful with selecting the perfect wine for the mood.

I come here often. They have a lot of wine and its not one of the most popular places in Houston or in a big strip/on a main street. Thats why I like it. There isnt a lot of staff and some days are better than others, just like anything. Its relaxing and the music is good. I usually get good service, but I also go there a lot and they know me now.

In my opinion the best wine bar in Houston for the breadth and variety of the wine list. The wines by the glass list is extensive and you will find wines from all over the world. The food is great, the bar has a European feel to it, and the staff is very knowledgeable. I have been going here for years and hope to continue going for many more years!

I love this place. Totally relaxed atmosphere & since I know so little about wines, I find I rely on their staff for suggestions. Ive never been disappointed with the wines theyve brought me. They also have nice cheese plates to go with the wines. This is a favorite of mine. A great place to hangout with girlfriends on a Friday night!

You will definitely love this place if you are wine lover. We love this place so much so that we came here twice (take note on the different meat board as pictured). When I get bored with wine, I go for vermouth instead. Its equally amazing. For dessert, they served the famous carrot cake from Weights and Measures. So yum!!

This is a great place to come for a chill wine-filled evening. A bit pricey maybe, but they also have a much better food options than most wine bars. I wouldnt come here for a large gathering, but for a relaxed, intimate evening. The food will take a while to come out, but this isnt a place you come to for a rush.

Food and drink are great. Inexperienced Bartender girl not so good. Not sure if she had other plans or things on her mind, but Bar tending wasnt one of them. Messed up our brunch order twice, and drink order once. Id give here the benefit of the doubt, but I wont when you dont man up to your own mistakes.

Came here on a sunday to get a half off bottle and paired it with the duck rillette and the B&B. I think the duck rillete was not fatty enough for my palette so i added some butter to it and boy was it great. The creaminess and the rich duck flavor went well with my bottle of rose.

I loved the service and the tons of wine options they have. I was a bit hesitant first becoz of the numerous options they have but OSCAR made it so easy for us. He just got the perfect Red Wine my tongue was waiting for. We had really good time. Absolutely recommend this place.

One of the cooler/older spaces that hasnt been knocked down! Intimate and romantic with an enclosed patio. Highly recommend the cheese and charcuterie, as well as the smores plate in the winter. They do a good job of organizing wine tastings for wine newbies like myself!

This is an upscale wine bar with fancy and delicious wines and snacks. Its a little pricey but worth the cost. The manager Adele really knows her wines and I have never been led wrong with her selection!

Great place. So many wines, lots that are off the beaten path. They love to set you up with 3-6 taste pours along a theme (funky whites, Italian, Spanish...). Very knowledgeable folks.
