My wife and I drive through Blanco a lot, from San Antonio. Sometimes on the way to Austin, sometimes on the way to Fredericksburg. But every time we do, we have to stop at Red Bud Café. But this place has such a small-town friendly atmosphere, and such great food that weve even started driving to Blanco just to have lunch. If you have dogs, theyre always welcome on the outdoor patio, and the staff will bring a big bowl of water for them on the hot days. As with most places, I like to sample a variety of menu items, and here, I always seem to find a new favorite dish. The soups are always delicious, and the Blaze of Glory burger is probably the best Ive ever had. Definitely worth stopping in.

Redbud Cafe is not a fast food restaurant. For those of you that complain about the length of time to get your food go to McDonalds or Whataburger. We come to the Redbud for the atmosphere and to visit with friends and family that we have not seen all week because of our busy schedules. We enjoy the Axis Burger and the variety of selection in meals. Friends from Canada, Mexico, and South America as well as my son from California, his wife and five kids enjoyed it and are bragging about the Redbud in their hometowns. The atmosphere lets you enjoy a good book while you wait for your meal. I closing come to the Redbud enjoy a meal; enjoy your family. -Oscarr R Segura

I have been to the Redbud 2 times, and I have found it to be delightful. They have a great menu. I found their pear salad to be out of this world. They have home-made salad dressings that are amazing as well. My fiancee says they have the best macaroon she has ever had. Currently on Fri and Sat nights they have a venison burger. Unfortunately last time I was there they ran out, due to popular demand. That should say something... They also had an exceptional selection of real ale beers, second only to the brewery itself. Cant get enough beer, no worries... They sell six packs to go... Great friendly staff... A great place to stop if your in Blanco.

Very lovely casual place. Im visiting for awhile and a friend who knows the places to go around here took me to lunch here. The only disappointment was they were out of the egg salad sandwiches, they must be good, so I got the pimento sandwich. Best pimento Ive gotten anywhere. Sandwiches are a generous size. I was full after eating half and took the other half togo. Staff was very friendly and the restroom was clean. I am very glad I was shown this place and plan on coming back to try more here. Also theres a little shop in there with odds and ends and everything lavender you can think of very friendly staff there as well.

Seemed like forever before I finally had my quiche and mushroom soup brought to my table. Well past 35 minutes, wish I would have thought to start timing them sooner. When I did inquire, the waitress said she would check on it but never got back to me. The mushroom soup was awful, very runny and must have used corn starch instead of cream. It did have plenty of mushrooms but tasted so bad I only ate some of it but should have stopped after the first bite. Quiche wasnt very good either. I may give them a second chance but will go for the hamburger which is what most people were eating.

Ended up going with the masses during the Lavender Fest, and went here for what turned out to be a mediocre pre-made sandwich, with a special Lavender Fest price. Two sandwiches, one order of chips, and one cookie came out to be over $25, and both sandwiches came out looking more pre-packed rather than home-made. I would imagine that they do a majority of their business during the Fest due to their proximity to the Market, as I cannot see another reason to frequent it otherwise. If you find yourself in Blanco, I would recommend you look elsewhere for good eats in the area.

Fantastic place to really enjoy the atmosphere Blanco has to offer. The food is great, the service is friendly, and theyve got over 12 Real Ale Brewing Company beers on tap (even more for sale in the coolers). Redbud also features live bands regularly. Be warned though, check before you plan your visit to see if a band is playing. During band nights all the inside tables become reservation only and youre left clambering for the 3 or 4 tables outside, or hanging out in the standing room only section. Redbud is without a doubt a must visit dining/drinking experience.

KitKat - Jan 28, 2012 What a quaint and relaxing atmosphere!!! Took family from San Diego there before Christmas and all enjoyed a scrumptious meal from the Red Buds basic burger to the French dip & savory herb salad. The local Real Ale was a hit and the kids got to bee bop to the musicians ketchy tunes. A wonderful way to end a Winters night drive through the Trail of Lights in the Hill Country. Proprietors, Jon and Jan Brieger have a winner!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea what DMC is talking about but the food, atmosphere and drinks are great! Locally brewed beers are available and responsibly priced, The french dip sandwich was excellent and the service was great. Ive been there before, and will go back again. Good food, good drink and service and live music on many occasions. Stop by and see for yourself.

We give the 5 stars food the food. I had the meatloaf sandwich, for me it was very good, my wife had the fish wrap. It did take a little while for our food (20 minutes maybe) but thats ok. If we wanted fast food then I suppose the nearest fastfood joint, yes ! It just doesnt pay to be a whinner. The food isnt processed, and thats a plus...

Amazing made to order, premium burger. You have to wait a little bit but thats because your food is cooked to order. Homemade salsa was delicious. They also have a bakery which I didnt try but the baked goods looked amazing. Many choices of Real Ale beer on draft. You must eat here if youre in or near Blanco, TX

Prepare to be stuffed. Anytime I come to Blanco we have lunch at the Redbud Cafe. Really good burgers and sandwiches. 16 taps of Real Ale beer including the Mysterum Verum line which can be hard to find. We just missed the Sunday morning rush at 11 am. Order at the counter and they bring you anything you could need.

Excellent cafe and the best place to eat in Blanco. Vegetarian and gluten free options are plentiful and delicious. The lavender iced tea is incredible and the Red Bud blend coffee is perfect. My favorite meals are the axis burger, the portobello sandwich, the moss cliff, the red bud salad, and the chicken salad.

Lovely cafe in the square of Blanco. We had the turkey rueben and the Bleu cheeseburger. Both were cooked to our expectations. Best rueben Ive had in a long time. Potatoes were well seasoned for great flavor too! They have several local brews on tap. The Belgian Tripel was excellent. Enjoy the local fare. We did.

Great food. But this is the second time we come from San Antonio and they are out of their home fries. A bit disappointing since their home fries are verry popular. I would think they would be prepared. Overall great food, even if you do have to wait sometimes ,but is worthed when they have the product .
