LONG STORY SHORT DONT COME HERE!!!!!!!! Honestly, worst experience ever. I know people assume that complaints only come from people who are bitter and have bad experiences but that is not the case. My girls and I travel often and rely a lot on reviews to decide were we dine, but in a rush we bypassed this this normality in our routine, to our error. This was our second day back, we had a great experience on day one, we went Jet Skiing with Eddie, he was wonderful and so was Hector. We were new to Jet Skiing and they made sure we were safe and taken care off. We enjoyed them so much we booked a second day to parasail. They recommended Parrot Eyes, we took their word and went. Entering the restaurant, right away it was bad. Manager walked up, rudely, asking us what we were drinking and how we cant drink orange juice in the establishment. As servers we understood and threw it away. The food was decent, everything was fine until we order ONE drink and didnt like it. Our server had recommended as his favorite, so we took his word and ordered it, not great. Couldnt taste any alcohol, was chunky and pineapple juice taste like it had gone bad. We told Gervacio we didnt like it, since we had only taken one sip he said he would get it taken off no problem. A moment later the managers, Phil and Virgina came back and slammed the drink down on our table demanding who would pay for it! We explained to them it wasnt the pricing but rather the taste, and if willing wed get a different drink. They were not having this and said regardless we would be paying for the drink, whether it was costumed or not, and threatened to call the authorities. Mind you, two of us are bartenders in San Antonio, this was so unheard of to Us. If you dont like a drink and you didnt drink it, you dont have to pay for it, at least where we come from. Well apparently not here. Virginia was extremely rude, and treated us like we were drunk or incompetent. She called the authorities, when they arrived the cops suggested we write to the better business bureau. They agreed with us on us not having to purchase the drinks but due to the fact it was a business they had to enforce whatever her policies were, dispite the fact they didnt agree. In the end we paid for a full drink we didnt drink and they lost a costumer. To me its so sad that a business owner would treat someone who literally gave them their means of living that way. I work for the restaurant industry, Ive read thier reviews NOW, why would you be okay with "CRAPPY MANAGERS" being the face of your establishment. They dont understand it, but social media, these ratings, your customers, they are everything when it comes to your companies reputation. Ive never been treated so badly, and if I could warn at least one person from dining here then my review has served its purpose. This "no cry babies" mantra does not mean threat your guest that dirt under you shoe. Take a business class Phil and Virginia, give people a reason to want to spend their money here.

My waitress refused to serve me alcohol for using a military ID. Never in my life have a I ever been refused service for using my military ID. This isnt what I chose to serve my country for; to be discriminated against. Will not be back. To the owner: Why would I have given her a military ID had I not been of age? I am actually celebrating my 24th birthday. I gave it to her she refused it and said she could only use a TX license. I left within that amount of time because I have gone through too much for my country to be treated like this. That is the problem with your establishment, you assumed instead of taking the time to ask. I have never had a problem using it before all of a sudden it isnt legible? I properly identified myself by giving her my ID she said could not use it. And for your information its illegal for me to carry an ineligble military ID so please educate yourself. Please do not try to cover her ignorance for not being able to read one. You need to train your servers better. People like you need to be sent downrange and have that slice of humble pie that you so lack. Do not recommend this to military members as they clearly dont know how to read a military ID. And as you can tell, the owner wil assume youre underage even though you give them an ID. Really sad. I went to Louies and they had no problem taking my military ID :)

Made reservations to parasail with my boyfriend; it was definitely a must! Staff was great, very accommodating since they were busy for labor day weekend, but still managed to get us out. The view from the air is gorgeous! We took pictures with our phone, but if you dont feel comfortable holding on to your phone, take a camera with a strap. While we waited for the boat, I had a kids meal at the restaurant and the shrimp was very fresh. My boyfriend and I were so impressed that kind of quality was in a kids meal. (Were both Sea food lovers and hes from Cali so hes grown up with Sea food all his life) After parasailing, we had lunch at the restaurant, portions and quality were great. The rice looked so boring but had way more flavor than it looked! The shrimp was my favorite (tasted straight out the water) grilled fish was delicious, crab cakes could have used a bit more crab, but the flavor was all there, the carrots tasted straight out the ground, we really felt everything was just so fresh. My boyfriend liked the fried oysters more than I did, but thats because Im not a big fan of oysters. Would definately recommend to anyone!

My family and I decided to get lunch here on a whim and since we were so thoroughly impressed by the view, the parrots, and the hammock, we decided to sign up for the sunset-dolphin-watch boat ride. We were the only ones that signed up that day, so we had the whole boat to ourselves. Our captain Eli and his crew mate John were fun and relaxed and took us all around Laguna Madre. After a while, we lost hope of seeing dolphins, but then when we went into this hidden part of the bay, a whole family showed up! There were babies swimming along with their parents and one of the older, tougher-looking dolphins came close to the boat to assert his dominance (Im assuming). We probably hung out there for thirty minutes or so trying our best to communicate with them. By the end, we had undoubtedly won them over. Our tour ended up lasting much longer than expected because of our dolphin encounter, but Eli and John were great sports about it. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation!! Dont miss it!

Response to owner: Then you need to retrain your staff, because this was the information we were given: The owner does not allow service dogs. Maybe if it were a smaller dog... You reveal quite a bit in your response to your employees treatment of potential patrons, much like the look on your employees face did without noting the obvious disapproval and annoyance in his voice. Original post: Instead of thanking vets for their service, you might as well tell them to go FT. The manager does not allow service dogs. My wife told him he cannot ban service animals and he replied "if it was a small dog maybe.. but its the OWNERS rule." Shes a 50lb lab mix; hardly a giant. Either way, he was unapologetic and I cant imagine you get enough business in the off season to be such a prick. Perhaps I was being a bit nearsighted in thinking of only service members... My friends son has a service dog for seizures. Ill be sure to let them know theyre not welcome here either.
