We had a party of approximately 12 celebrating a birthday. Jason was our waiter and he was impersonal, and provided horrible service. We had to literally beg for drinks and water. The bills came out with multiple extra items, but he manage to put in an 18% gratuity in which we requested that the manager at the time, Angela, take them off. Angela was great but I feel she should have removed him from our table after the first 2 complaints. He would leave and come back 15 minutes later. He even tried to get a guest to take an order , though it was not hesr, but he had brought it. The food is great and the presentation is great, the service this time was just super slow and rude. He eventually became angry that we complained and then we got no service. The entire table had empty glasses to include water. All the orders were messed up or wrong, but we dealt with it When he threw the carryouts on the table in a stack and left, that was it. I will go to La Canterra or the Stone Oak location next time. Why would you hire a waiter who has no personality and is clearly not a people person. I have an epiphany for the restaurant industry "customers bring in money" . San Antonio is not as big as you think and your reputation supersedes you as a business, so hire friendly people who are for the business and not just the next tip!

I just ate at the New Stone Werks on Basse. I should have known not to enter when I saw a couple leave very drunk and get in their truck from drinking HEAVILY and Stone werks. The service was sub par because the Bar outside is not a full stocked bar so the wait staff were constantly going in and out of the main restaurant to get everyones drinks. the food was much better then the old one. I went for a Mothers day dinner on Saturday to celebrate early. I had a good time with my husband. We left my CELL phone on the table. I wasnt worried and returned in about 15minutes to retrieve it. Unfortunately I was too late as a buss/waiter had cleaned my table and stole my phone!!! we were in a corner and even the table next to us said only one guy who was cleaning it was a blonde with a crew cut cleaning my table. The management apologized and said we cant ask our staff to empty their pockets but we will ask them at the end of the night.. I said it was there in their restaurant and they should be able to ask and find it. I left very upset and mad as this is my business phone. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS OR ANY OTHER STONE WERKS AGAIN. They rob the patrons and they do not monitor peoples drinking.

Bad experience tonight - hope its not the norm for these folks. Two chicken fajita taco salads (BTW normally an excellent choice) were brought out without dressing and sour cream, but with lukewarm chicken, and our meal took 50 minutes to arrive. Excuse given was the big party in the house that night, but I have a feeling these guys get a lot of parties and should know how to deal with them. Two managers came by to ask what was wrong after we told our waiter, and they ended up bringing out more grilled chicken along with the sour cream and dressing, but everything was soggy down to the shell, and no one wanted to wait for more salads to come out. Lots of apologies, and the manager gave us half off our meal and one free piece of cake (for five people, but we really didnt want cake anyways). Found out afterwards they overcharged $2 for each of the two side salads we ordered, too. This was our daughters pick for her birthday - just disappointing. Made reservations and everything and still not a good experience.

Went there last night (April 3rd) with my husband and young child. Got in around 8:50pm and didnt leave till 10:10pm-and not because we lingered. They were out of kids menus-ok fine whatever. Not a huge deal. We ordered our drinks (2 waters, a kids lemonade, and 2 adult drinks from the bar). It took awhile for us to get a server first of all and then it took awhile for our drinks to arrive because he was looking for a kids menu. My strawberry daiquiri arrived and it was the weakest daiquiri ever. No alcohol whatsoever. The chicken alfredo was memorable in that I will remember never to order it again. It was bland and boring. My husband had slightly better luck with his French Dip Philly Cheesesteak and his Perfect Storm drink. Our server hardly came by the table and when he did, it was obvious he was in a rush to go somewhere else. He never stood still and seemed to regard our table as an afterthought. We are going to give this place one more chance but its going to be awhile-like several months.

Everytime I come to this place it seems like its an older crowd. Understandable since the prices are kind of high for food that is just ok. The big reason why I gave this place to Stars is because the female bartender was handing out napkins and serving peoples food with an open-cut visibly seen on her hand. After I pointed out that there was blood on the napkin the bartender simply continued doing her job without attending to a first aid kit. Now Im not sure if this is pressure coming from the management to get things done or if its her own negligence that cost me to be completely and utterly disgusted

Late lunch on Sunday reminded me why this place is always so busy...their food is really good! Husband had the grouper; daughter had the jumbo shrimp; son-in-law had the Mahi Mahi. I had the pecan crusted chicken breast. Id had it before, and once again it was GREAT. The pecan coating makes a crisp, delicious outside that keeps the ubiquitous chicken breast juicy and tender. They top it with cream gravy, and I had their "smashed" potatoes and steamed broccoli. Enough food for lunch AND to-go dinner. Service was attentive and we were all very pleased.

My fiance and I come here about 3 times a month and it never fails us! Great service, food, and drinks!!! Prime rib egg rolls are great for appetizers, cheese steak sandwich is amazing as well as the pizzas and flatbread are delicious, grilled shrimp is top notch also! Bloody Marys are amazing or the sweet tea mojito is very refreshing!! Rudy is our favorite server!! Great personality and always takes really good of his tables! Have not had a bad experience here yet!

Rudy our server was awesome! There is a wide selection of beer/wine. We had the spinach artichoke dip and it was delicious! My husband had the Ruben and it was everything you want in a Ruben! I had the Rustic flat bread and it was AMAZING! We even had the manager stop by when one of the beers we wanted wasnt available, to personally apologize. Wonderful customer service! Well definitely be back!

The place looks great. The fun is ok. The service s bad bad bad, we waited for an hour and a half fr our meal. The hostess came over and topped off our drinks. She told us our waitress was outside looking for a cell ph. The mens restroom was dirty, dirty, dirty. Our food was wrong. This stoneworks is the pits. The one over at blanco n 1604 is great. Stay away from this location.
