Been here a few times at lunch. It was great. This was our first visit for dinner. They missed the mark. They were out of gulf coast oysters but took our order for them then 15 minutes later came back to tell us they were out. They took our order for a 10 oz sirloin then came back about 30 minutes later to tell us they were out. Had to switch to grilled shrimp. When the meals came out, the seafood enchiladas were not good. The cheese had started to separate and the edges of the tortillas were hard. It was as if they had been under the heat light waiting for the mistake with the sirloin to be cleared up. The garlic mashed potatoes were loaded with uncooked chunks of potato. When the crime brûlée came out, the custard was cool but the sugar was as well. Total time was also fairly off. We were there a total of 1 hour and 47 minutes. I think the kitchen was just off tonight.

The Redfish Ponchartrain was out of this world! The moistest fish Ive ever had. I love grits, so I had to try theirs as an additional side...AMAZING!! Once they acknowledged me (it took a while ) the customer service was great!! The drinks were awesome as well. I had the redfish, grits, 2 drinks & the key lime pie...waaay too much food for me to finish lol, but w/ tip, I paid $70. Well worth it & I will definitely be back. O! M! G! I went back this morning for brunch & got the Fondue Omelet (substituted the potatoes for the grits) & it was hands down the best omelet Ive ever had!!! That with a mimosa started my Sunday off just right! W/ tip included, it only put me back $19 . Off to treat myself to a pedicure now

My girlfriend and I had our 1 year anniversary lunch date at The Reel last Thursday on 8/17/17. It was our first time ever eating there and Im very happy that we did! The staff was incredibly friendly from beginning to end and hats off to Odessa our waitress, she was nothing less than awesome! The food was wonderful and we really enjoyed our time there. We will definitely be back the next time we are in that city. Matter of fact, weve already made plans to come there again on our next year anniversary as well. Very slow service, we waited 30 min for our food to come out. My $20 pasta dish had sauce on only only half the noodles, they forgot one of our drinks and didnt check back for 20 min so we could remind them. Food was very bland when we got it Po Boy & Shrimp Pasta dish. The margarita I had was good but that was the only thing we liked. Bummed because I really wanted to like this place but the service & quality just werent there :( and the prices were too high.

The service was slow...we got there and it took almost an hour and a half to get our food served...our drinks took forever to be served as well...my chicken rib eye steak was undercooked but didnt feel like complaining to wait another hour or so to receive my food...you would think that because of the menu and the way the food was named you would receive would be worth it but not from my experience...

Walking in and the hostess was cheerful, so was the waitress. It was a Tuesday so it wasnt packed at all. Heard the burger was excellent but went with the shrimp etouffe. The etouffe sauce was just right with spiciness. Would recommend. Ill probably be back for the burger. The lunch deals seem more reasonably priced than the dinner. They have a happy hour that ends at 6:30, just an fyi

Its been a long time since Ive had a good seafood dinner, this place is worth every star. Our waitress Allison was friendly, personable, and patient with us. I had the Shrimp Etouffee by the recommendation of another customer and Allison, just as good (maybe better than) as gumbo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Also had a side dish of calamari that was wonderfully seasoned and cooked.

This place is AMAZING. I have a dairy allergy and they were so nice and accommodating. They made a fantastic grilled chicken and the asparagus was incredible. Our waiter, Tom, was extremely friendly and helpful. He even gave us free dessert! Bread pudding, which my fiancé just loved. I highly recommend eating here.

This is the best deal going! Run, dont walk to get lunch here. The lunch specials are fabulous at a great price. All the seafood tastes so fresh and the sides are great too. (And the steak fingers on the Sat lunch special my wife got may be the best Ive ever had). Service matches the food. Cant wait to come back.

Excellent. Our waiter, Clay, was excellent. He was an expert on the food. I asked for his suggestions and it was great. I started with a deep eddy martini, had the coconut fried shrimp for the appetizer, then had the salad, followed by the ribeye cooked perfect (ordered medium rare). I will be back.

The Daily specials are confusing on the menu backside. I asked the waiter about a "special" at $8.50 and he said yes, what I ordered was not billed as a special $10.95 and was more money than I thought! Food was good but for a $3 Iced tea I received no refill at all.

We learned of Reel Seafood while traveling in Bulverde, TX. When we heard there was one opening in New Braunfels, TX, we were excited. The environment is a little different and not as cozy as the one in Bulverde, TX. The staff and food were great though!

Wow, the food here was amazing. Came here after a long day tubing near by and it really hit the spot. My usually picky kids loved the fried catfish and my husbands Chicken Fried Steak was incredible! We will be back next time we come through this way.

Have eaten here every time we go to the beach, the food and service is great. This time around the the electricity went out because of a driver hit the electric pole. We able to have a drink and appetizer before they had to close.

One of the best options around. Lunch specials are a great value. Outdoor area is well covered and has portable A/C. Try the Cajun enchiladas, seafood fondue, stuffed shrimp and flounder have all been excellent.

Food was overpriced and under cooked. It appeared as if they were depending on masking the poor job of cooking with flavor by adding a lot of hot Cajun spices. Service was poor at best.

Service & Sangrias were fantastic! The mahi mahi wasnt as flakey as it could have been, but everything else was delicious. We will definitely be back next time were in town!
