3/2/2013: Reviewed back in September of 2012 because of the noise. Theyre located right in neighborhoods, but insist on having obnoxious late night music on the patio. Was surprised by a response by one of the managing partners saying theyd try to be respectful and had high hopes. Well, those hopes have been dashed. Now that were coming back into the warmer weather, theyre back at it. Luckily, places like this with this little regard for the public dont usually last too long. Im sure this place will follow suit. Will be complaining to the city over noise violations from here on out. 9/2012: Its ridiculous the amount of disrespect for the neighborhood this place has. They produce a horrible amount of noise and have constant outdoor entertainment, even though theyre surrounded by homes. Calling the management and asking them to keep it down doesnt help either. Theyre rude and will NEVER be getting my business, nor anyone I know. If youre not respectful of your neighbors, youll get none from me. Fortunately places that operate like this wont be in business very long. UPDATE: 9/26/2012 - I was pleasantly surprised today when one of the partners of Sideliners called me directly about this post. We spoke about the noise, especially when karaoke was going on, and he assured me that theyre working to remedy this and that things would be changing in their outdoor entertainment. Ill reserve judgement to see if it happens, but its not often youll get a bar/restaurant owner that actually goes out of the way to try and remedy complaints. Kudos to them for the response. I hope that theyll be a good neighbor to those in the surrounding neighborhoods, because the neighbors have the ability to make them a success. Its never fun seeing bars move into an area that youre raising your family and trying to enjoy a nice life. I hope that theyll be good neighbors in the future and I truly appreciate them reaching out to me.

Very poor service. Waited and waited and waited to get noticed, then to get our order taken and then to actually get our food (there were customers at only 2 tables inside) We were there on a Sat afternoon about 4:45 - no sporting events on tv so we didnt think the disclaimer on the table would be in effect - it basically says that during pay per view and major sports games you should expect to wait 45-60 min for your order. We ordered a app sampler, two side salads and a chicken fingers basket. The waitress forgot to ask us about salad dressing and then when I reminder her, she couldnt tell us what kinds they have and borrowed my menu to look it up. After about 30 minutes she came and told us they were out of one of our choices on the sampler; she wanted to know what we wanted ti replace it with - but hadnt brought a menu and she didnt know all the options! After this order change, we still didt get our food for another 30-45 min. The food was bland (no salt/seasoning), the fried foods were limp and everything was overall lukewarm. i dont expect gourmet quality at a bar- but for the price charged we should have gotten food at least as good as Sonic or Dairy Queen serves. When we were done eating, the waitress cleared my drink glass without asking (I was still planning on drinking more from it) and she kept out credit card for more than 10 minutes and then returned without it and forgot she had even taken it to start with! By the way - the tables that came in afrer us were not getting any better service from other staff - the ones next to us waited over 30 minutes to get water ( it was 107 degrees out!) and they were still waiting for their order when we left.

I have never been a big fan of Fatsos. The food is horrible, the service is slow, and now I can say the owner is an ass_ _ _ _!!! A group of friends and I have been going there once a week for over a year now to play volleyball. While there, we spend a decent amount of money on over-priced food and beer, but thats not good enough for the owner. Out of no where, he wants to start charging $2 per person to play volleyball. The owner would not budge on this!! He would rather lose the business of 15+ people a week, who buy food and drinks, than miss out on his $2 a person. Take a class in operational management and learn how to run a business!! I wouldnt be so upset if he had handled the situation better. There are no signs posted about this $2 fee, nor is it on their website. Any decent person would have given us a heads up and let us play for our usual fee of ZERO dollars, and then make us pay the following week. I drive 20 miles just to get there every week and see my friends, so I refuse to pay an additional $2. We are now playing volleyball else where and I recommend you do too.

Worst service ever! I know thats a bold statement but its the truth & it a hurtful one. I thought it was just a slacker waitress but from where I sat I could see the cooks not doing anything & I mean nothing @ all w/ orders in the window, including mine. To top it off we it took 20 min to get the bill after we were clearly through eating- the bill, that included items we didnt get. Naturally I (near livid @ this point) ask for them to be taken off. The manager who I unloaded on tells me "you know what, Im going to go ahead & take that stuff of your bill for ya. Give me a min." Really guy- youre going to do me the great favor of taking food of my bill that I didnt get? Thank you so much! Keep in mind for the sake of brevity Ive left off so much of the horror story & no Im not one of those people whos just impossible to please no matter what.

Wow! over 50minutes to get our food. I dont mean to rude, but when it comes to the service, there is slow and lathargic. I really think our first waitress forgot we were there. the second one was a step up (bless her heart). We would be asked if we wanted another drink... not get it and the same waitress would ask again forgetting she just asked. And still would forget to bring a drink. To top it off, they were not even busy!. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOUR JUST GOING TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL! Then as a courtesy, they mixed up our charges. Charged the other couples amount to my card and vise versa. When asked to fix it, she said she did. Even the manager assured us she did! Well guess what, my card was charged for both orders! DID I RECOMMEND NOT TO EAT HERE YET?

The service is horrendous. I cant believe the owners have this awesome potential being ruined by the worst service in San Antonio. Was there 2/15/14 during the 3-4pm hour and had to walk and waive down the waitress every time we needed anything. Was sitting for over 30 minutes when we fist walked in and finally got up to go to the bar for a beer. The bartender outside said they were busy. Are you kidding? He was just talking it up with the girls at the end of the bar. Kept looking our way but did not ever take our drink order till I waived him down, AND HE WAS ONLY 10 FEET AWAY!!! ATTENTION SIDELINERS GRILL OWNERS: FIX YOUR SERVICE PROBLEM OR THIS PLACE IS DOOMED TO GO BANKRUPT.
