Out of the hundreds (if not thousands) of local family run Mexican eateries, this one by far is the best in San Antonio. The only dislike are they are not open for dinner. The food is all homemade down to the tortillas. The pricing is cheap but the portions are plenty. The wait staff treats you like family. You can place to go orders but no delivery. Everything on the menu is delicious. The food comes out hot and quick. The salsa is spicy. Most of the clientel are Hispanic because its like eating at home.

I agree with most people here. The food is great. Ive been a customer since they first opened up. However, the prices have gone up DRASTICALLY for the same food and amount. In my opinion, there are other restaurants in the area just as good for not that much.

Los Compadres is my all time favorite restaurant (ALWAYS TABLE NUMBER 4!). I never get tired of this place. Their tortillas are the best! Their staff is always soooo wonderful and friendly!
