The reason for the four stars is, to go orders are a hassle. Their popusas as amazing, but if you order to go on multiple occasions Ive gotten here 30 minutes later to find them barely putting in the order.... It may be perhaps that theyre always packed but youd think they would tell you that when you order. Other than that today we had lunch inside and it was pretty good. The food is amazing and our waitress was really nice. Also its always packed.

Great seafood! The caldo de Indio was amazing! Great seafood selection on menu and back page for dishes of El Salvador, home of the owner. Free calendar handed out. Trio plays for request most days. Accordion, bass and guitar. Local vendors give ambiance and make this critic moan, and pone, for Latin America. Come early to avoid big crowd and less parking. Only missing homemade corn tortillas.

Great mom and pop family Salvadoran Seafood Restaurant. Best known for their yummy cheesy pupusas served with fermented curtido dressing. Great selection of fish platers and cocktails. Salvadorans do not fry the pupusas...ITS the grease that the cheese releases once warmed up with pupusas...lol Look out for friendly vendors after 5pm.

They have the best seafood everything from fish shrimp octopus soup fish soup fried fish grilled fish drinks everything you want and the service is wonderful The Waitresses are very good and fast I love this place its not very often I get to go but when I do I really am looking forward to some good fish enjoy

Great restaurant- Very good cheese/shrimp quesadillas, mmmm..Mexican Shrimp or Oyster Cocktails. On occasion they have Mariachis. And what I love about this restaurant is that I can always depend of them for my very best of Tamarindo jugo. One of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio.

If your going with a large group its best to call ahead to let them know and there usually is a wait. This place has good food but it does get very packed and walking paths are very narrow. Shrimp cocktails and soups are delicious

Awesome waitress Amazing Food Clean setting .sorry i didnt have to go to the Ladys Room so i cant tell you how clean it was in there.Becides that it was a really nice place to dine at. Nice and cool fresh and clean place la playa.

Some of the best and fresh seafood place, yes its a little hole in the wall and its always busy but its worth the wait. Also if your looking for authentic popusas this is the place, family owned and operated for well over 20 yrs.

well i dont go to big sea food places any more , it has to be la playa and only the one on poplar, start off with the shrimp cocktail its the best i have had in a san antonio restaraunt, i would recommend this place to any one .

The food is okay. I have mainly gone for the the pupusas, they do take about 15 mins to cook. I dont like that they taste like theyve been fried or in too much grease. Pupusas arent suppose to be fried or in so much grease.

Great seafood and great people that work there. Usually get the family 10pc (which always seems a lot more then a 10pc) it also comes with a whole like of fries, bread, lemon, and of course tartar sauce for all about $16.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant specializing in seafood and El Salvadoran cuisine. I recommend you try their shrimp soup or their shrimp pupusas. Save some room for a slice their tres leches cake.
