All I have to say is how highly disappointed I was at this restaurant tonight. First off we walk in and tell them we have 4 for the hibachi table, Myself, my husband, my 11 year old daughter and my 2 year old daughter. We were seated at a table with a few other people (not a problem) but there werent enough plates, no big deal...then when taking out order we ordered our food and edamame to hold us over and included 3 orders of fried rice. Then the waitress brings out our soup which was scolding hot...way way to hot to drink...my 2 year old hit her plate and knocked over my 11 year olds soup which caused to to spill all over my 2 daughters but mostly my 2 year old which resulted in burning her. The main lady (manger or owner maybe) came over and said ok and walked away...My screaming baby in my arms and no one came to help, say sorry or even help clean up the mess. then the food started getting cooked...apparently the waitress only wrote down that we ordered 1 fried rice so the cook only made 1....when we asked he said he was only told about 1 and even showed us. so we said ok and delt. then our edamame comes out and isnt even fully cooked and is cold. My husband asked for a plate and the waitress brings him a tiny plate (he never received a regular plate when we sat down) then asking for for forks and chopsticks when our food had already been in front of us. And dont even get me started on our check...she gave us the wrong check 4 times and when trying to pay it took another 15 minutes just to get her to take my card. I spent $60 on dinner and received the worst possible customer service. and the crazy parts it wasnt that busy. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

First time coming to this place was fantastic. We had the tall waiter; he was fast, and the food was amazing. However, in the remaining 4-5 times we retried this place, the service and food has been abysmal. Were often sat and not attended to for about 10-15 minutes and often waiting even longer just for drinks. A lot of meals on their menu should come with a salad and soup, but theyve forgotten them everytime since our first visit. The chicken teriyaki is mostly zuccini instead of chicken (half on one chicken breast it seems), and often, everything is oversalted. Sad to see this place falter so much, especially since theyre one of the few local options in this area.

The experience was awful. My SO and I entered and asked to be seated at the grill and were told that they close the grill at 430pm. There were 2 other families already seated at the grills. It was 245pm when we entered. Then our waitress said that they were closed between 230pm and 430pm. We decided to just sit at a regular table and ordered drinks. While waiting on our drinks our waitress went to one of the families sitting at one of the grills and told them they needed to move because the grills were closed. We get our drinks and our waitress asks if we were ready to order and we both say yes and she walks away. So did we. Terrible experience.

Called and made a reservation. Got there and was told they have no reservation for us. There is 5 adults and 2 children. The guy I spoke with on the phone was the one that ended up being our server. Was very rude. Didnt take his time to help or give suggestions. When ordering a a mixed the server has no idea what he was talking about and asked for a recipe. We ended up leaving the restaurant when only ordering drinks. Spoke with the manager and he repeated my cell number to me and said yes I remember. But the server was a tall guy with reddish hair. The rudest server I have ever come across. The worst service now I know why they werent busy!

just picked some Shrimp Fried Rice at this Place....sat at the Bar and told the Waitress I would like a glass of Wine while waiting on my To Go Order, the Wine was never delivered, so I eventually cancelled it, cause my Food would be out before I can finish it. I specifically told that Woman I was craving some Yum Yum Sauce when I first took a Look at the Menu, and she said shell have some added to my Meal.....that didnt happen either!! very disappointed....had to use extra Soy Sauce so the Rice wouldnt get stuck in my Throat, thats how dry it was....no Bean Sprouts either....what a Waste of Money and the Drive over there!!

I have loved this place ever since my first time. The service is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Since we have moved from the state I ALWAYS make sure we fit in a trip to Hon Machi for Hon Machi soup, egg rolls and fried rice. Its been 6 months since I was last here and nothing has changed. Its still AMAZING! We love it so much our youngest was looking at being transferred to Childrens Hospital across town suddenly and on the top of her list to pick up from home was her Hon Machi food we had just picked up. This place is a must try!

First time here. Made a reservation per their suggestion to get a grill for 8 but they didnt have it on time. They were delayed about 15 minutes. Had to ask for utensils when the appetizers were served. They wouldnt honor the free appetizer coupon from the site unless it was printed out. It was 50 minutes from scheduled reservation time before grill guy came to start cooking. If food was just ok, because it was, and Service wasnt commensurate for the amount I paid, because it wasnt, would you go back?

The service here was terrible. There were only 2 other tables when my party walked in and it took 2hours for us to get our food. I have not had this slow of service since I moved to San Antonio 2 years ago. If you are hungry I dont suggest going to this restaurant on an empty stomach, bring snacks. On top of that, the food was mediocre and not worth the wait. I wont be going back here ever again. I only gave this 1 star because I had to rate it but it deserves 0 stars.

Great experience! So glad we found this place so close to home, I had no idea they were there! And for four years!!! Good Lord!!! LOL! I have to disagree with one of the reviews about the pricing. I thought the prices were excellent , you get almost 10 or 12 big pieces of Sushi, and these rolls are big. Justin was our Sushi chef and he was super nice and welcoming, Brent our server was on top of it making sure we had what we needed. Great service

I have had mixed experiences with service and the staff not recognizing lunch as a time sensitive thing. On one occasion we used up the better part of 45 minutes waiting - then having to hurry thru the meal to get back to work on time. The food overall is average - convenient but if time permits seek out a better dining experience.

Came in to place a to go order. I assume the guy that greeted me was a manager, I told him I had a to go order. I sat down in the bar area and watched 4 waitress sit and talk, while 1 guy was folding napkins. I had to wave down the manager to take my order. No other customers at 5 pm on Friday....hmm mm wonder WHY?
