Food is very good and plates are plentiful, but service is a DAMN JOKE! The very first time my boyfriend and I ate here, about two months ago, our server delivered our food but then we never saw her again. She never came to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything, not even once. When we were finished eating, we waited around for about 10 mins to see if she would return to bring us our check but she never did. My boyfriend got up to find her, and found her sitting in a chair next to the kitchen drinking a beer. She immediately got up and asked if everything was ok and if we needed our check. We just paid for our food and left but due to the nonexistence of service, we DID NOT leave a tip! We decided to give this place another try a few weeks later, and the service was really good and we were impressed, but when the check arrived, the server wrote in "$2.00 for tip" at the end of our check. We asked what that was about and she said that she had remembered us from a few weeks prior and how we didnt leave a tip for the other server so she wrote in a mandatory tip to make sure we left one. I was absolutely shocked. I tried to explain to her what happened during our first dining experience but she immediately became irate and told us (in extremely broken chinese/english) that if we were in China, nobody would serve us. She continued to raise her voice at us in front of the entire restaurant. We couldnt understand what she was saying or why she was so angry. I just got up from the table, paid our bill at the front desk, and walked out. I absolutely cannot understand the mentality of the staff here. We were totally ready to write off the entire first experience and leave a generous tip, and we had even planned on coming back. Not anymore. These people are sociopaths.

Absolutely awful! If I could give a negative score I would! When we arrived, there was only one other customer there, who paid and left shortly there after. The guy that seated us even sat down with that other female customer at the table directly behind us like he was joining her for dinner, not working! Then played on his cell phone the entire time after that! When we tried to order, the waitress cut us off and assumed we had ordered whatever we wanted already, when we werent done, and she rushed off. Four other tables then proceeded to come in and place their orders. ALL FOUR TABLES THAT CAME IN AFTER US RECEIVED THEIR MEALS BEFORE WE EVEN GOT OUR APPETIZER!!! One of the tables had already even finished and asked for their check!!! The food tasted like it came straight from the freezer section of the grocery store! The staff seemed to know all the other customers, yet they completely ignored us!!! We will NEVER go back there and will be sure to let everyone we know around here know of what terrible service we had!!!!

I ate here today, this is the third Chinese restaurant I have eaten at here in Boerne. I ordered the pork chow mein. I am speechless, it was a bland brown gravy mixed with lifeless vegetables and topped with what appeared like strips of chips. Which I immediately removed. Oh I get it, these were the crispy noodles the older women mentioned when I ordered. I overheard my neighbors say, "they do a good job here!" I mean really I can make a better chow mein at home with bright vegetables and pan fried noodles. Why is it so difficult to find good healthy Chinese food. I know of one restaurant in Kerrville, that is excellent with bright, fresh vegetables and flavor. Perhaps the owners should take some lessons from them.

Been a part of Boerne since we moved here in 1990. Its Always been great food for the price you pay. I dont know what more some people expect! One of the employees "the old grumpy lady" as someone called her, has worked there since I can remember. The goofy sometimes seemingly rude guy has worked there for maybe 10 years. This place is the established Chinese food restraunt of boerne. My point is, if you want to eat at a small old town Chinese food place that has decent food. Then try shanghai. But if you bring a rude big city attitude, your probably not going to feel very welcome.

The food is always Sooooooo wonderful is why I keep going. Also is served quickly. Cashier Jesus is always smiling and very friendly. Server was not so great totally ignored us and we had to keep getting up to get what we needed. Then she demanded a tip when we checked out. Actually argued with me. I was a server for 21 years so I know tips are earned and I treat other servers well. The owner cares about his customers and guaranteed I would not be treated that way again. Maybe next time Ill just take it to go.

I was told it would be ten minutes for the food to be done. I walk over to the gas station grab some drinks, have a 15 minute conversation, and the food still isnt ready. The chicken takes time to cook, is the explanation I receive. So I get home, the lo mein isnt good, the sweet and sour sauce is border line edible, and the cheese ragoons, have a slim amount of cheese. They were very nice, they were late on the order, and it wasnt even good. I suggest not going there.

Definitely not good. Crab wontons lacked filling, dumpling sauce was horrible, asked for steamed dumplings and got pan fried and the special fried rice was very bland. Got my order to go and was told everything was in the bag... got back to the hotel room and we were missing cutlery, sweet n sour and soy sauce. Had to make another trip up to the restaurant for all this and no compensation was made. Horrible service to go with the horrible food.

Empty at dinner time Sunday...should have read that as a sign. Fried noodle dish with beef/chicken/shrimp. Had 4 baby shrimps and pasty gravy going on...blech. Stuff just didnt seem fresh. Sought out the white rice to kill the taste. Not much help. Egg drop was fine. Should have had that last. Wife had General Tso. She thought it was OK, but they could have used less of the sauce.

I love this chinese restaurant. Ive tried tons of chinese restaurants all over the place in hopes to find one whos food resembles this one. My favorite dish is the General Tsos, and the hot and sour soup is amazing! I love this place and always end up driving 1hr to get here JUST because its so great! The staff are great people as well. Always there and charismatic!

this place is very rude,,,they were not very nice and I placed an order and they said I cant have it that way, it was 30 min before closing and I guess they wanted to go home and not take the time to cook my food or maybe they didnt want to make a fresh batch, so I left without eating and went to another restaurant,,I will never go back there again...

I have ordered the orange chicken here and several other dishes but it is more of an American/Chinese food than the typical Chinese food. If you eat here it will be okay, but it wont be amazing. Overall, the service and the workers are amazing but it is not enough to come often for the food.
