I am saddened that after many years of patronage, I am now forced to find a different oriental restaurant to spend my money at. Try Taste of Asia, 1 minute away on Bitters or Szechuan Garden which is 8 minutes away on NW Military. Beijing Restaurant, is run by an idiot. This weekend, I ordered a meal, to go & when I arrived home, the food was cold and the egg roll was soggy. I was very hungry, so I foolishly decided to eat the subpar food. I phoned the restaurant & explained to the young man my dissatisfaction with the food. His comment was that if I had brought it back to them, he would have replaced the plate or refunded my money, but because I had eaten it, there was nothing he would do. I identified myself as a longtime customer & asked if he was willing to lose my business over a $7 sale and his response was YES! I was very angry, drove back to the restaurant, presented him with the receipt and 3 additional receipts from that same week, and again asked if he was willing to lose my business. Again the response was YES. I refuse to spend my money, at a business run by an idiot. Apparently that particular Millennial doesn’t understand that us Baby Boomers have learned how to assert power by keeping our wallets in our back-pockets. I will admit, the customer is not always right, but a loyal customer should be considered like finding gold in your cash register.

Beijing express is great!!! First of all, the food is delicious and fresh tasting, which isnt always easy to do with the fried food like egg rolls, but they pulled it off. My fiancée got the ramen, and it hit the spot. Wonton broth, shrimp, and noodles... Yum! I actually didnt order anything because we also had reservations for magnolia pancake Haus next door, so I was just hanging out while she ate, but that was great too. The waiter was extremely pleasant and attentive, but not at all overbearing. The ambiance is noteworthy too. We sat on the outdoor patio, and the chirping birds and weather made the experience even better. Two knocks on the restaurant that arent really a big deal at all but are worth mentioning: the duck sauce isnt home made and (for better or worse) theres a drive through. The drive through really lowered my expectations, but actually, it was well done. The speaker isnt crackly or overly loud, and the plants between the patio and the drive through make it not too distracting to diners on the patio. One last note: their lunch and dinner specials are offered on the weekend, unlike most Chinese restaurants. Well definitely be back to enjoy Beijing express again!

I just ate lunch at this Beijing Restuarnat. I ordered Beef fried rice and when I was about 1/4th of the way into my food I discovered a piece of some sort of metal. I brought this to the attention of the waitress passing by and she nonchallantly said it was a part of the scrubber used to clean the pan. Gross, I was unable to continue eating my food. When I was asked by our waitress, who by the way is the worst waitress ever, if I needed a to go box I explained about the piece of metal. She asked where it was and that she needed to see this. How rude.... I told her the other lady took it with her and she said did the manager come talk to you. I said no. She then said that she would give a discounted price. When I went to the register, our waitress was our cashier, she charged me full price. This is not good service. In my opinion the manager should have come out and apoligized for the mishap and then my rice should have been free. I have worked in the service industry. I know how it works.

I would like to say today (November 28, 2016) was my first time visiting this restaurant. It was my lunch break and decided to stop by and give it a try so i went to the drive through. Let me start off by saying they have great customer service. I forgot the gentlemans name at the window he was a young white male with glasses and a ponytail hairstyle.I told him it was my first time and he took the time to pull out a menu and briefly explain to me in detail what they had ! Thats something u see at a upscale restaurant! He was great and plus food is affordable price! I will definitely be coming back I gave him a little 3$ tip, not alot but its something to show my appreciation. Great place and great staff!

Why arent there more people here at lunch time on a saturday? This place is SO amazing! The food is hot and served quickly. Staff was friendly, but they did look a little bored - we were only the 3rd couple in the place. Tomato beef was different and tasty, not what you would expect from this type of restaurant. Tasted like a home recipe, not a tourist palate type dish. Lettuce wraps, OMG. Best I have ever had. Cooked perfectly, seasoned with just enough sauce, and diced evenly and small.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The prices are very reasonable, averaging between $6 and $10. The decor is fun and there are a lot of cute items for sale. The food is DELICIOUS-- my favorite is the Kwei Chow Shrimp from the chefs specials menu. There are LOTS of vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options here, and any meat dish can be substituted with tofu. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, there is nothing to complain about. Theres outdoor garden seating available, and they even have a DRIVE THROUGH!

Been going here now for over a year regularly for dinner with the family. It may have the best WonTon soup Ive ever had and I try numerous around the country. The food may be bland (ie. not spicy) but you can alter that on your own. As far as freshness and quality it is outstanding and the family run business could not be friendlier or hospitable. Good value on the pricing but slightly higher recently but still a $10 full dinner with soup / meal / egg roll / rangoon and drink.

I got e coli from their lemon chicken. After calling San Antonio metropolitan health district and telling them what happened, they inspected the place. They called back saying that there were many health violations that put their customers at risk. Dont risk eating here just because their lo mein was good once.

Lemon Chicken was good and my husband loved his beef with garlic sauce. Hasnt been able to find one that is just as good as his fave in Austin until now. The fried rice was really tasty and the wonton soup was good too. The bonus was that they actually offered lunch prices on a Saturday. Definitely will go back.

The ppl there are super rude my sister found a hair on her plate they said that we intentionally put it they and said that we had to pay. I will never eat there again the young Chinese man just rolled his eyes at us and laughed I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your self the disappointment!

Food is really bland. Ive tried several things like the beef broccoli, sesame chicken, and mongolian beef and all of them disappointed me. Its okay if you need to satisfy a serious chinese food craving but honestly its worth it more to just go next door to the China Sea or over to the HEB chinese.
