Its a great feeling to walk in and get a wonderful welcome!!! Now that they have new owners, the place is rockn!!! Love hanging out with all the interesting people that go in there... military, military families & regulars!!! The staff rocks... just a fun loving bunch who always makes you feel like family. Walking in alone and not knowing anyone lasts about 1 min. The staff welcomes everyone and makes them feel at home and ready for fun!!! I strongly recommend anyone looking for a good time to stop by the Afterburner... you wont regret it!!! (Live music, Karaoke, awesome specials and a cheers like feeling no matter who you are!!)

Every Monday and thursday is good, fun flled, nights full of singing. Ive only gone to the Monday one, but the guy who host the karaoke is hilarious and a real cool dude. Me and my friends have a blast there when we go. The bartenders are not only sweethearts but very easy on the eyes. Awesome drink prices through out the whole week. Close to home as well right on the southwest side across from Lackland AFB on Military and hwy 90. I definately recommend giving it a shot or two! Two thumbs up, Five out of Five stars! Shout out to Megan and her awesome singing as well lol...

I have never been so disrespected in my life at any other bar.The bar backs turned the light off and fans in the patio so my husband and I were sitting in the dark w/20 minutes left and they kept yelling last call hurry up and drink and they all had a attitude, if you dont like your job dont work at a bar.i invited my family there and I have never been so embarrassed.i grew up going to this bar I will NEVER go back again.

Went to the afterburner on an early saturday night, and it was very chill. It was kind of hard to find. The neon sign was burnt out and the street sign was faded out. Besides the signs this place is relaxing, like a jeans, a T, and flip flops. Located steps away from the air force base. The bartender was very friendly and I will definitely be going back.

Best place n town wonderful bartenders I have to use a wheelchair an this bar is handicap accessible unlike a few well known bars in San Antonio no names mentioned a couple downtown and some of the outskirts of San Antonio I cannot get in because I use the wheelchair Afterburner for me is the best its like the song says I Love This Bar

Ordered an old fashioned but the bartender didnt know how to make it (and didnt know what bitters were), so I asked for a bourbon neat. I ended up with a shot glass full of ice, some bourbon, and a straw. We left pretty quickly.
