Dont let a couple of the bad reviews keep you from trying this buffet. I think it is good food with a great variety of everything you could want. And I recently found out that the Sunday buffet includes crab legs, and nice size ones too. The Sunday price is about $2 or $3 higher than the weekday, but worth it if you are a crab leg lover. Is it perfect? No, but some of the reviews are unfair and nothing like they say it is. I will definitely go back again because the food is good and there is one way to tell how good or bad a restaurant is and that is the number of cars parked in front every day at lunch and dinner, otherwise they would not be there for very long. Give it a try. It deserves at least a try. I dont think you will be disappointed unless you are a really nitpicky person, then if you are you should just stay at home.

Honestly some of the negative reviews look so ridiculous they must be made up by some real crazy people. Dont let the fakers fool you. This place is our family favorite! They are spacious, clean, friendly staffed, and the food is among the best asian food Ive experienced. The bathrooms are excellent as well, which is important to me as a mom. They have some kid-friendly "american" staples, fun deserts, and every asian staple food people seek out in a place like this, and then some! Its spacious enough that there is never a over-crowding problem that Ive exerienced, even once at the dinner rush when we went it got moderately crowded but they handled it well! Food was replaced on the buffet lines quickly and service never delayed. The price is decent too! They also have a cute little gift shop :)

Ye Star Buffet is a mix of good and average foods. The place doesnt look like much on the outside, but inside its very nicely decorated and able to seat a lot of people without feeling empty with slower crowds. The buffet has one of the largest selection of foods Ive seen in the area and for the most part its fresh, decent food. I really enjoy the Mongolian BBQ and Sushi. The food is usually fresh and flavorful. The items on the standard buffet can vary in offerings, including mushrooms and beef, broccoli and chicken, chicken on a stick, chicken nuggets, Tortinos Pizza (seriously), large shrimp with eyes still on it, crayfish, and hot crab legs. I love the desert selections, including this delicious Captain Crunch marshmallow treat. They also have hand dipped ice cream.

Im only rating one star, because I dont know if 0 stars will count towards the rating. The fact that the price wasnt posted anywhere should have been a red flag. Then no one stayed at our table long enough for us to ask the price. They were packed, though, so I didnt think it could be that bad. I was so very wrong. The best food there was extremely bland. Everything else was horrible. Even when it was fresh. The noodles and fried rice tasted like a wet dog smells in the summer. Then the bill was dropped on our table, and I felt like someone punched me in the gut. With sodas, it was nearly $14 per person. I feel like I just got mugged. If anyone ever suggests that you eat there, punch them in the face, and run. They obviously hate you, and mean you harm.

Buffet is a decent price, standard chinese food place. workers look a little worn down but are helpful. The menu is all the same every time you go with the exception of there cold bar which changes form time to time. they have a stir fry/mongolian grill cook that makes meals fresh with what ever ingredients you want. lack luster dessert but scoop ice cream bar is always stocked. Dont come after 8 you will probably be eating old food they are reluctant to bring out more even if asked. They also have a buffet to go which is nice but a bit on the expensive side it costs more for a to go than it does to sit and eat with a drink. although my review seems negative it is about all you will get from a Chinese buffet in round rock. Just average.

The Wontons in the wonton soup didnt taste fully cooked, I was not impressed with the octopus Bc it was cold, and the stuffed mushrooms were not fully cooked. Anything fried or in sauce was fine and the seafood delight wasnt bad. They had a large array of desserts available including the fried Chinese Doughnuts. There was even some sushi and a wok station that I didnt try. Honestly couldve been cleaner. A few utensils, plates and bowls I picked up at the buffet were still dirty with food or something. But overall not the worst place ever. The staff was very nice although there was an obvious language barrier.

Took my mom there Sunday cause they said they were having "big" crab legs and when we got there they were far from big and they were nasty looking....she was very disappointed since we drove all the way from copperas cove which is an hr away and called in advanced to make sure they were having the big ones...so to the manager if you are going to advertise something being big make sure you provide that product...other than that any other time we have gone it has been good just very disappointing when you waste gas.... This is the only reason Im giving it a 1 star any other time would be a 4...

Disgusting food. Nothing looked appetizing. The sushi looked old and the rice didnt taste right. I found hair in more than 1 of the plates of food, and 1 in the dessert. Kids were walking around without parents, who knows what else that food had! The only good thing is the price but that was not authentic Chinese/Japanese food. Its Americanized/Mexican versions of it. If someone wants a knock off brand, this is the place to go. Otherwise, its disgusting! If gas stations had Chinese foods this is exactly what it would be like! Never coming back!

I would give zero if I could.. Bad food, worse service. Sushi rolls where old. The sea food tasted like they drove it here from the coast in the back of a pick up truck. The Chinese food was mediocre at best. The mongolian food was just ok and it was the best thing in the place. The employees... although a lot of them they just stand in corners in small groups and talk. I think the place must be ran be teenagers. It was not very well priced for what you get. I would never go back. I recommend you dont waste your money or time.

One of the best Chinese buffets Ive ever been to in Texas. It is a very clean, modern interior. There is great music, tvs around the restaurant, and the manager has an amazing singing voice. The food is very well presented, good quality (even the sushi), kept fresh, and clean. There is also a good diversity of food offered as well compared to other buffets Ive visited. One of the best restaurants to eat at in the area! Will I be coming back again? YES(tar)

It was a great looking buffet. Their where lots of choices, the problem is it all tasted so bland. There wasnt anything on the buffet l really enjoyed. I ask the waitress if she could grab me a couple of spoons. She looked at me crazy. Pointed across the room and told me where they were. Also, they need to crank down that AC, it was extremely hot. Service and the sauna aside, l wont be going back, mainly because the food was really terrible.
