First visit here for me and my pregnant wife. Entrance right into a wall was offsetting. No hostess in sight. Finally a waiter came by who was the only worker we saw besides the cook walking out of the bathroom in a wife beater. Once seated we placed our drink order of water with lemon and a Dr. Pepper. Waiter returned with room temperature water with no lemon and the Dr pepper which I swear was poured out of a can in the back room. After his third trip back lemons were brought after asking again. Once our food order was ready he made it to our table and started to place our food which he did spill the curry on the table, failed to apologize and said heres your chicken curry then looked at me and said heres your fish. Hoping I got what I ordered when he said that. To be honest the food was excellent. I just wish the service was better. To finish the trip off when the bill came it was $29 and some change, I paid with a 50 which he returned my change as a $20 and loose change. How am I to tip with that? This was honestly the first time Ive ever tipped this low in my life. We walked out with our $20 and left the change. I would have no problem recommending for take out but personal service was lacking. Room was silent minus what you can hear from the kitchen knowing your order was coming once the cook would whistle.

Impressive. My two picky All-American eaters which shy from spice ages 7 and 9 loved it; truly notable considering all the flavor. There is a menu online with pictures of the dishes (which appear to be in the process of being added). This is great if you dont know what to expect. Spicehouse is one of those places you are excited with what is set before you, and terribly curious about what your neighbor was served. Delicious food and I believe this quality restaurant will carve itself out a niche in the area.

The food was the worst Indian food we ever had. We ordered a togo and the food was awfully spicy (we are very used to Indian spicy food). We called back to let them know and all they said was Oh sorry but we cannot do anything about it. As there is no indian restaurant within 10 mile radius, they are just taking advantage of it. I would not go recommend or go to this restaurant second time :( If you have a choice avoid it and save some money.

Not sure what the deal is with this place lately. Some ghetto kid answering the phones when trying to place an order for pick up. Using words like "yo, sup, whut, huh." No manager on duty and the kid who answered knew nothing about the food. The food here is awesome but the owner needs to stop hiring the retard gehtto kids of Murphy and Plano.

This was my first place to have Indian food and Ive yet to find anywhere else I like more. Their chicken korma is just right, the butter chicken and tikka masala are amazing, and their rosemary naan works so well its unreal. Absolutely adore this place. Its normally pretty slow in the evenings, but its absolutely worth the drive!

Great choices! I left feeling so full I could barely move! Also has a great atmosphere! Not like other places playing freaking country or hip-hop or other junk! They play cultural music in the background and have lovely art on the walls. Very tasty overall! We love this place, dont miss the buffet at lunch time!!!

This review is for the restraunt section called Spice House Food has always been excellent for the past couple of years, ever since it opened. Decor is great for dinners, I havent been during lunch time recently Waiting service is flaky, sometimes great and other times average. To go service is very good.

Great food, Friendly service - My husband and I got there after 2pm, which the buffet was already over. The owner said there was still plenty of food left and we could get the buffet if we wanted to, which I thought it was nice of her. The food was great so Ill be going back. :-)

The food was pretty good. We asked for one meal to not be spicy, but it was very, very spicy. We mentioned to the manager and he just chuckled about how people are not used to Indian food. We are quite familiar with spicy food having lived in Thailand, this was very spicy.

Sadly, after enjoying the food at Spice House of India, we went there last night only to discover that it has closed. The sign on the door stated that the locks had been changed due to lack of rent payment.

Definitely a favorite. One of the best Indian Restaurants around. Awesome lunch buffet at a affordable price. Good service, clean, and the food is really, really good. They will totally see me again.
