We had the catfish and froglegs buffet. Both were cooked to perfection! Crisp on the outside tender and juicy inside. Seasoned well, without being spicy. The sides of mustard potato salad, green pea salad, and cabbage with bacon were all tasty, with the cooked cabbage exceptional. 2 meals and two iced teas cost less than $20, tip included. The Hole in the Wall is a Newcastle landmark, and rightly so!

Tell them you want a "Flaming Sow" and a lot of napkins. Its not on the menu but I get one about once a month. It consists of a loaded "Pig Burger" plus all the hot ingredients that they have on the shelves. The burger comes with home cooked potato chips. Good eating at any price.
