This used to be the best place in town to get a breakfast taco. Though it still is one of the best in town (that cheese yall), it has been plagued with inconsistency of the quality of the tacos you receive. You might get a bean and cheese that is super runny, or a potato egg and cheese with potatoes that arent fully cooked, on the other hand, you might get the perfection that is Los Gallos tacos. The service has seemed to take a dive as well. I call in, tell them my order and name, only to be asked what I ordered by the people working the front counter. Why ask my name? While this is a mild annoyance, the old Los Gallos staff would know you and remember you (even on the phone), it doesnt seem like the guys that work there anymore care that much about that, which is a let down. All the negatives aside, I think this is still a great place to eat, there lunch menu still continues to impress, but the inconsistency in both their to go service and breakfast tacos makes it no longer the number 1 destination for breakfast tacos for New Braunfels natives. Check out Ritas or Granzines. Great tacos that are consistently great, and people that will get to know you and remember you.

Took friends here after work. Found a hair in the food that wasnt anyone at our table had the color of. Manager said she couldnt match it to any of the kitchen or waiting staff even though most of the waitresses hand black hair with blonde highlights which matched the hair in question. said she was not going to comp the taco. Manager kept giving my friend attitude till my friend left the resturant. I liked this restaurant before the new management I have been going here since I was a child, but with attitude here as of later under new management this is my last time.

I have never written a review because I havent felt so strongly about a restaurant before. I dined in on a Saturday morning, usually a busy time so i expect the service to be a bit slow, but i didnt expect the whole experience to be 2 and a half hours. Im sure it would have taken much longer if i didnt flag the waitress down for every little thing i needed. I had their chorizo plate and I was not impressed especially since i had to ask a few times to get the tortillas to go with the plate. Overall I do not suggest the dine in experience of Los Gallos.

We actually really enjoyed our food. However, we were not impressed with the service. Christi was our server. She brought us lemons literally balled up in her hand in a soaked napkin. She also had to return to the kitchen 3 times to bring the correct items we ordered. Refried beans-not difficult. We tried to give her plates/chips that we were done with to give us more room to eat (we were a party of 8 with 4 kids) but she said she would be back. She did not get stuff out of the way til the end, by then whats the point. Great food, poor service.

Low prices which is always good. Nothing special though. Tastes like something I can make at home.. I dont know what some of these other people are raving about saying things like "the best", lol....FAR FROM IT. In fact, if you want a phenomenal breakfast taco, go to Granzins BBQ just south of the square downtown. Those are the BEST breakfast tacos - bar none! Im still interested in trying this place for lunch or dinner though. I may try the chimichanga - looks good! :D

The food is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly. There is often something of a wait, and parking is almost always near capacity, but that just tells you how good it is. Tortillas are thick and fluffy, and the Barbacoa is amazing. The breakfast tacos may not be the cheapest in town, but they are as big as two or three tacos from their competitors. Overall, a great place.

This place was a huge score! Their tacos are huge, cheap, and delicious:) we ordered at the counter and then sat at a table which I dont think youre supposed to do but it was a rookie mistake. Homemade, thick and yummy tortillas!! Will definitely be back. If youre in town and dont know where to go, skip Rudys breakfast tacos (ps I love Rudys) and go to Los Gallos!!

Place was recommended by the nearby Harley dealership while we waited for service on my mc. It doesnt look like much on the outside but inside it was neat, very clean and efficiently run. The service was great and very fsst and the breakfast was excellent and portions were ample. I will definutely be going back.

I hadnt eaten at Los Gallos for a while just due to falling off the radar until I had one of their tacos they made for the Cavern Crawl 5K! What a great taco! Perfect seasoning and an excellent homemade tortilla. It was so go that I went there the next day for breakfast. Still make excellent tacos.

Terrible food! Tortillas half inch thick and raw. Papas rancheras was boiled potatoes with tomato sauce poured on them. Service terrible. Had to search and wait 10 minutes for waitresses because they were in back showing pics on their phones to each other just so I could pay. Never again!

We have decided this is our official breakfast taco spot in new braunfels. big and filling and the tortillas are soft and fluffy and amazing!! LOVE it!! We always call ahead and drive thru (usually still in PJs), and have only had breakfast (and my husband loves the menudo).

I love this place! We come here for lunch, the staff is friendly, the food is great, and the prices are low. I havent tried their super taco yet, but I plan on it next time. Also heard their breakfast tacos are large and tasty, and they have a drive thru open early!

New in town and seeking out the local options for Mexican food. This one had good everything! Queso, guacamole, tacos, and enchiladas all were very good. Attentive server and several visits to us from management to see that all was ok. We will be back.

My husband and I were impressed with this places, we have tried their tacos, gorditas and menudo. I recommend this place!!! The staff are polite and the food is amazing they are not greedy like other places. I found my new Togo breakfast taco place

I love the tacos here I came here once and fell in love with the fluffy torrtillas and I brought my girl friend and now this is our go to every morning for breakfast tacos the bean egg and cheese tacos we get here just cant be beat!!!

I have always lived in NB, and I recently moved out of NB to Austin, but anytime I make a trip through there, I always have to stop and get me a couple of tacos, and enjoy the amazing Customer Service. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Good food and reasonable prices, plus the service with a smile. Buyer beware, their tacos are big and tortillas are freshly made. I walked out there with feeling full. :-) I will be going back soon!

Great authentic Tex-Mex food..... good service, but get there early because they close early in the afternoon. For people visiting the New Braunfels area think outside of I-35 for your breakfast hunger!
