Located on River Road, this place is definitely ready for the summer crowds but locals like it too. That being said, if you’re just here to eat, parking is limited, so going during an off time is recommended. Character: 4****, Pretty good if you don’t mind dives run by a bunch of river rats. Nice view looking at the river watching the tourists float by. Some live music some days, but I do not like this place as a music venue. Service: 4**** It’s staffed properly and they’re quick at the register, food may take some time if it’s busy.. Food: 3***, I got a patty melt, wife got a bacon cheese burger. The patties are at least a half pound, half inch thick and over the size of the bun. Really one burger could feed 2. Good char, but a little overdone for me. I like them juicy, these were a bit dry. The patty melt could have stood more grilled onions. The BCB was good, plenty of bacon with the downside be standard american cheese. The veggies are all on the side. The fries were pretty good too I thought. The menu is extensive, I even saw salads. June 2017 had the ultimate nachos, the chicken was tasty, standard Ricos nacho cheese, yuck, not enough jalapenos, 3*** Value: 4****, burgers are ~$9 each, and fries are $3, but again one can feed 2. Lone Star beer is $1, yup, I like that. Overall: 4****, I like this place, it’s about 20 minutes from the house. A nice place for lazy afternoons.

We stopped here on a Sunday (Sept. 25th to be exact), after visiting MIL in hospital ICU; to grab a bite to eat before heading back to AZ. They were in the midst of closing, but still allowed us to place our orders, and sit in their outside patio. They were very helpful with suggestions from their menu. ...Our orders were up! OMG!! The burgers were out of this world!! Fried pickles were super yummy!! Delish!! ...On our way out, one of the gals chatted with us outside, and she was super cool! She invited us to go back under better circumstances. We would honestly go back just to see her!! I dont remember her name, only the day/ date we were there. Love the super friendly Staff here!! We couldnt leave without buying this cool cowboy hat!!

I loved this place. Im eight months pregnant and was very nervous but they said the water was very calm. They were correct. I did have a little accident when my tube popped on a sharp object in the river. They told me it was most likely glass. I was pretty shaken up but they were insanely nice and comforting about it. They apologized and apologized. I told them it wasnt their fault and they gave my money back for that tube. It was very cheap to begin with. I did not try their food but I did see peoples orders coming out and it looked great. I highly recommend this place. Not sure if I, personally, would go tubing again just because it scared me, but my family loves it so I will definitely be sending them to this particular place.

Want a great place to get a great burger? Then head on out to New Braunfels and take a scenic ride out on River Road along the beautiful Guadalupe river. Take in some great views while you journey past majestic cypress trees that line the river. Once you drive over the second crossing, keep your eyes peeled for a hidden gem called The Lonestar Floathouse. Truly the best kept secret of the area! The greatest burger on earth is served here! Truly remarkable and delicious. Great atmosphere too! They have a big deck overlooking the river and also have live music on occasion. Its definitely a day trip you have to make! Go get your grub on and come hungry. You will not be disappointed!

Make sure to check the water levels in the river BEFORE you rent your tubes! I used a Groupon and couldnt get a refund for a dry river that me and my family had to drag our tubes through. the water at its deepest was no more than ankle deep and by no means were we in a drought. The so-called "shoot" that the employees tried to scared us about was ridiculous! The scariest part of the shoot was when some dumb-ass decided to sit on top of the rocks and put his foot down in front of my daughters tube flipping her out of it and almost drowning! I will NEVER go there ever again, no matter how cheap the rentals are!

The Double Double was about 5 min over cooked. If I would have just gotten a single I think I would have enjoyed it more. Wait was 50 min for the food, so after waiting that long it was unfortunate it was so over cooked. Some other people had the same wait, but patties looked much better. Place was not super busy when we were there. I was surprised because of all the good reviews of the place. However, there are not a lot of options within a 2 mile radius after drinking.

Great place,Great food,Great location and $10 buckets... i live in Cayon Lake and my wife and i enjoy driving down getting one of there great hamburgers. We normally half one of their cheese burgers because they are good size, one order of french fries and a bucket of can beers and it is around $20.00 not bad. The location is great, right on the water, you can actually bring your food and drink down to the water and hangout. THe staff is friendly and the place is clean.

The expectations are set HIGH by the owners.....so needless to say, you get THE BEST BURGER on the river! The staff is excellent. The atmosphere is awesome! The prices on the beer are so good they cant even advertise it! Honestly! I am a fan of the Guadalupe Chicken sandwich!! Its always a favorite!! You are missing out if you dont stop by...trust me....I dont give many compliments, but this place earns them all!! Kudos Terry!!

This has been a favorite of mine for years. To the parking Nazi woman that was a up in our faces regarding where we parked before ordering our food. You ruined the entire experience. We left. You won. You upset small children and we left and went somewhere else. No, this wasnt your job to harass people. But thats OK. You didnt ruin our day. We just found a better place. Nice job.

Good staff. Friendly and knowledgeable about the river. The owner greeted us and thanked us for coming out when we got back to the float house 7 hours later. Best times to go...the middle of the week of course. My wife and I had the river to ourselves all day and it was her first time floating in Texas. Magical experience. Thanks Lone Star Float House. See yall again once school starts.

This is an awesome place. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. After a nice relaxing day on the river we chilled out on one the picnic tables, in the river by the way, and had a bite to eat from the grill (amazing food by the way). Props to the Pulled Pork sandwich! I could not have had a better experience! I will be back.

The burgers will blow your mind!!! And the view!! The best day ever. Step 1: rent tubes from lonestar. Step 2: arrive at floathouse after a beautiful float trip. Step 3: order a burger. Step 4: if its Sunday, take in a gorgeous night with their Sunday Serenade (live music) on the patio. Its an amazing place to experience.
