When I travel into mission, I always stop by Dai Tung for lunch. They are hands down the best Chinese restaurant I know of in the valley. People who complain about service have to understand just how busy this restaurant can be, especially during lunch hours. The owners are very kind, and focus attention on the quality of their food which is always made fresh upon ordering, unlike some other Chinese restaurants near by... Oh and not to mention the amazing layout and design of the restaurant is just stunning! Its a wonderful place for an intimate dinner or a professional business lunch. So forget the larger chains or cheap take out restaurants, go to Dai Tung in mission for authentic, top quality Chinese cuisine. Oh and try the chicken mefan or egg foo young for a delicious meal, my two favorite dishes of course.

The absolute best! Ive been eating there for years! I usually get takeout, but have eaten in many times. The staff is super friendly except the Chinese lady with the wig...but over the years Ive learned her attitude and Its not bad, shes just direct and very limited English. My personal favorites are the chicken cashew nut, and the gen chow w white meat. A must is their crab puffs!!! During their lunch, its always packed, but since they expanded its comfortable, and the food still comes out quick, fresh and absolutely delicious! I just cant believe the negative comment about them...must have gotten the wig lady and probably their main cook was off that day. I absolutely recommend it very very highly! And by the way Im a very picky person!

I have heard from several people that this place is great and the first time I ate here it was. Next time and what will be my last time I ordered the General Chows chicken. What a mistake, it was overcooked, dry and hard with some kind of sweet and sour sauce that was actually pretty disgusting. The chicken was dark meat with a lot of chunks of skin and gristle. I could hardly cut it with the dull knife they gave me. I did get a lot of it though. The fried rice had a weird flavor to it like maybe the oil was rancid. Needless to say I didnt eat much of it and the take home went into the trash immediately. Price for lunch with tip was $14. Next time I will go to the Panda Express that just opened in Mission. Much better value.

We use to love this place but our last visit ended with a cockroach in our water and the manager publicly scolding the waitress saying that it was her fault that I saw that . A employee is never responsible for the lack of pest control , the owner and the person in charge is. After the manager tried to shut us up and told us that all we wanted to do was not pay and then refusing to take our payment we paid either way . Needless to say insects are everywhere and these things happen but the absolute disregard the manager had for not only us but his employees and all those that watched him tell her she would be losing her job is unforgivable. Years of coming to this place and finally the customer service ruined it .

I googled what I thought was the usual place we order from on 495, but didnt remember the name so I searched chinese restaurants in Mission. It took me to this, Dai Tung, which I thought was the usual place (I barely give the other one a 3 at most, not that great, just close to our home). I finally found it and asked a fellow who was taking his food out (same order as mine, General Chows), what he thought of the food. He was dead on in that this food, the main course, the hot n sour soup, and the egg rolls were all absolutely outstanding....and Id missed this place a million times Id driven by. Excellent food and great customer service. A+++

Had a great lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. My husband and I split the cashew chicken with fried rice. The portion was huge! Nice white meat thin cut chicken that was well cooked. I would have liked more veggies (carrots, celery etc) in the dish, but it was tasty. He had egg drop soup and I had hot and sour soup. Both were very good. We also got egg rolls which were quite good. The star of the meal was the crab puffs (crab rangoon/crab wontons). They were definitely house made and delicious. Service was friendly and quick. No complaints! We will return for sure.

This place sucks in everything i dont know why you people are rating it high. The staff is very rude!!! during my lunch time i went a lady wanted to sit in the table of her choice and she was forced by the staff to sit in the front of the restaurant!! the lady said "oh no you no sit there, you sit here!" The food sucked too! i had the sweet and sour chicken and it tasted dry even when dipped in the sauce. I will be avoiding this place in the future.

The food is great like always but this time Amy went to far with her rudeness bringing out our food ten minutes apart from each other. Watching others arrive and get their food before us was really irritating. Even when she finally got around to us my wifes order was wrong, and she gave us attitude when we told her that it was wrong. Always dread eating here just for the fact that we might end up witb Amy as our waitress.

The food used to be great, but lately its been rather bland. The pictures provided here make the place look lovely, however the place itself doesnt look all that lovely anymore. The servers there are okay, but the Chinese lady there at the front is down right rude. I think its time to start looking for a new place to eat out at now.

Worst Chinese place ever. The chicken was not thoroughly cooked. It had blood. I returned it.Service was awful. The Asian cashier still insisted I pay for the food which I didnt consume. Very rude. Dont recommend this place. If you order chicken here make sure you cut it open to see if its fully cooked or youll end up getting sick.

Dai Tung offers excellent food at an affordable price. The portions are large enough to feed two people or a really hungry one. I enjoy the beef with mushrooms. It is loaded with beef and mushroom. They dont skimp on either one or the sause they use. It coupled with the fried rice makes for a really good meal.

I dont care for frozen food or sauce that is all sugar. This is a run of the mill Chinese food place. They tried to serve me a wonton soup that had no meat. The service is fast if that is important. Decent cleanliness. I dont want to eat there again.

This place can be very hit or miss. When I first tried it was amazing and I was incredibly happy to find a great Chinese restaurant down here. The next several visits havent been as memorable as the first, but its still pretty good.

Quality has changed. Take out order was incorrect and I had to go back. Sauce was quite thin and flavor was bland. Vegetables were lacking in fried rice. Perhaps it is a new cook? I hope things change for the better.
