Sometimes it is just better to shut up and have a good time with your friends here. The drinks are really cheap and they have random deals going on from time to time. Walking in you immediately notice the drab scene and slapped together furniture. Seems that the chairs, tables and all that are just a mismatch of different yard sale furniture. Walk to the back you see that the back part of the building isnt even on the foundation bur instead on cinder blocks, a completely different slab in some parts that encourages the lean that you feel. The bathroom area is more less a makeshift of walls and plumbing.... The music scene here is not "amazing" but does get your feet moving, hips bumping or whatever you do on the dance floor. The musicians smile real big and enjoy preforming in the moment. That is something that makes this place pretty cool. Zydeco nights are fun times no question.

Judging this book by its cover will steer you wrong. Its a true pub: small, darkly lit, plenty of beers on tap, very casual attire, a couple of pool tables, and darts. This place is a gem though for its music. There is a live band playing almost every single night. Its blues and zydeco here, so the young "jump-jump" crowd shouldnt even bother, but folks who appreciate good live music should come on out. It can pack up on the weekends, so if you arent early you WILL be standing most of the night. I havent heard a band Id give less than a 7 out of 10 to yet, and the variety of bands is great. There is even a small patio for those who want to light up. I recommend it to anyone who loves live blues!

This place really sucked I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Sure the music was great but thats about it. My friend and I didnt enjoy this place at all the people there are a little odd there . There is no service and they ask for tips constantly harassming you which by the way you dont realize it until you get there but they do that because its no cover and they band works for free they say but again you dont know that until you get there .

This place is awesome. Good neighbor hood bar. The best staff of all bars Ive been to in a long time and close by. Great selection of special and trendy liquors and beers. Im not into blues but the artiststhat performs are phenomenal. Older crowd mostly mixed in with the young at heart or young in age. Come by and visit those place if you want a chilled bluesy place to just relax and have our watch a good time.

fast service, friendly ambiance, best and only place to get a drink on campus. they sell alcohol on campus, of course it deserves 4 stars. If you dont give this place 4stars, that means you dont like beer, and shame on you. here here. they accept credit cards, you can get cheap food fast, you can watch the game and drink a beer.

I went out last week with my sisters and I have to say the place was great drinks reasonably priced and our service was beyond amazing. Seemed like she was the only server there and if so she needs a raise in my opinion. If you go there and Hailey s working go ahead and request her

Great music. Usually attracts a nice mature crowd. The new smoking laws force the smokers outside where they spend most of their time until they come back in and demand their seats at the bar. But I guess you have to expect a little of that in any bar.

I am new to the area and love funky places like this. Saw Mia B and her band performed - Great music!! Shakespeare is a down home spot to hang out and listen to great music. If they add food to the menu, they will hitting on all four cylinders.

Between the unbelievable music talent they have every weekend, the weirdest collection of drunk adults from west houston, and the man holding a live opposum by the tail outside the bar, you know you will have a good time.

Great live music! Its a really cool place that has awesome people and a very nice bartender. On Sundays around 11pm you can join in to play on stage if you have an instrument. Really great atmosphere!
