Service is horrible, and rude. Came in for lunch sat down, took 5 minutes to address me. Even though there was only 2 other people in here. Talked to me from the counter, I had to get up to get menu. I ordered and he gave me the total while I was sitting, i was surprised for a second and said ok and asked I pay before I get my food, he said "yes, we are fast food, you pay first at mcdonalds, you eat burger king right". I asked do I tip, before or after my meal. I wasnt going to tip, because of how the service was starting off, but didnt want anything to be done to my food. So I did, he rang me up. Didnt ask me if I would like a drink for my meal which was to dine in, and then got upset when he had to run my card again for a drink. Food was great, but the service will make me not come back ever again. Even as I was leaving and there was 3 employee sitting down, not one said bye, thank you. Not a friendly place.

I probably order delivery from here at least once weekly and for good reason. There are a lot of Americanized Chinese restaurants in the city and no shortage of them in the Montrose area. Montrose Chinese offers online ordering, has the best lunch selection and prices (includes soup unlike many others) and usually delivers in under 30 minutes. I have never been disappointed with cold vegetables or weird chewy meat. The storefront is a bit, well, for lack of a better word, creepy. Just get it delivered. Plus, if you decide to dine in the small 4 table restaurant, theyll charge you for a to go box (and since when are portions small at a Chinese restaurant.)

I order the sweet and sour chicken special. I went into this place with low expectations and I was still disappointed. Fried rice was extremely dry, the chicken where over breaded so I have 1 to 3 ratio of chicken to friend breading, the wonton soup tasted like liver-cheese, the sweet and sour dipping sauce was served incredible hot with very strong unknown flavor, and on top of that the cashier woman got an extreme attitude with me when I asked for some lemon slices. She gave me two then said if i want more she will have to charge me....The only thing i had a possibility to enjoy was the egg roll. which tasted oddly similar to frozen ones I buy at HEB.

Definitely dont come here for the service haha. Came in as the owner was telling off another customer, which is a great first impression. But as a Chinese person myself, I dont really care too much about service or atmosphere. The food is passably authentic and good for a take out place. We wanted something quick to eat, and it was a good meal. The fried rice is NOT fried rice though - it looks like plain rice with a dash of soy sauce. I do wish the portion sizes matched what we paid for.

From my 2 part order, Kung Pao was wonderful - Gen Taos Shrimp a nightmare. The flavor was bland and Im thinking it was the breading on the shrimp. Also requested a refund and the cashier/owner was rude about it. 2 times refused to refund and offered a partial refund... the 3rd time it was stated, she I received a full refund and snatched the receipt from my hand. Very rude. Poor customer service!

General Tso Special is affordable. Couldnt go wrong with choice of soup and side. Favorite General Tso chicken Ive found so far in Washington/Montrose area. Sauce is a little heavy, but its actually spicy. Chicken are massive chunks of lightly breaded white meat. No mystery meat slathered in batter. Not to mention, at prime dinner time it was ready for take out in less than 10 minutes.

This is your standard take out restaurant. I did dine in and found a hair in my general to chicken. The guy was nice fixed another plate. Did not offer a refund. But was possibly a fluke. I probably wont be eating here again with all the other restaurants in the area to try. The parking lot only had about 6 spots total. Food was ok but not great.

Food was ok, service was rude, Husband and I were on a lunch date. After we looked over the menu, she constantly asked, Did we want order to go. Small place very impersonal; we left but didnt say Thank you. As we were eating, a guy was picking up and asked for extra hot sauce, she asked "Why?"...Houston has better Chinese restaurants

The food was great but the service is horrible. I live in a high rise building downtown and the delivery guy told me "if you dont come down to get your food, dont call back again". I will not call back again. Why did I tip a delivery guy 10.00 dollars to walk go down stairs to get my food???

My friend and I came here to pick up food last night and she got food poisoning shortly after. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein which wasnt a problem, but she ordered the Sesame Chicken and became very ill. Makes me nervous to order food from here again.

It was ok... I got the general tsos chicken and while the flavor was great, the chicken itself had tons of fat running through it. I didnt care for the Hot and Sour soup but that might just be my personal preference. The fried rice was very good.

Definitely a good spot for your general Chinese dishes. A lot of the small spots like this seem to use low quality ingredients but this place does not. The chicken is always a good cut of chicken breast.

First time here, and my golly it was amazing. The place is small, but very new York style. The food is spectacular, and I will definitely start coming here a lot. Thank you for the amazing food.

Your run of the mill Chinese food. Salty and overly seasoned cheap pieces of meat and generic rice and veggies. Bastardized "authentic" oriental food.
