The food was excellent as always. Myself and a guest arrived at 8:30pm. The web as well as the hours list on the door state the restaurant closes at 9pm. Whole the waiter opened the bottle of wine we brought he suggested we get our order in quickly as they were about to close. When he returned to take our order he again informed us that they were closing soon. When our salad was delivered to our table another server told us that the kitchen was closing. This makes three times we were told to hurry as they were closing. When out meal arrived it was barely ten minutes from our arrival and we were again told how soon they close. My guest questioned this and was told be a very Stern reply that they needed to change the times as the kitchen actually closes at 8:45. As we ate the dinning room was swept and mopped around us. The waiter brings out bill and says we need to pay because the cash register is closing???? Ive never seen such a thing. Appears they actually close at 8 not 9 as we were hounded the entire time we were there. My out of town guest wanted to eat there because it is her fav Viet restaurant in Houston. That opinion has now changed.

I would give them 3-star for food and 2-star for service. I came here today for dinner. We arrieved there approximate 7pm. Its was not pack since its week day. We got seated right away we order chicken salad and rice noodle comination. The salad come out shortly its not that bad but too much vinegar and sour. I try little fish sauce but its dosent taste like fish sauce at all more like tap water blend with with fish sauce. Soonly, our noddle arrived its look good but the brooth is not what I expected its not that sweet and tasty. I guess I have high expecation for the soup. Anyhow, the noodle come with crab stick, fish ball, shrimp, pork slide thin . I recommended dont eat their shrimp its taste like soak in their. Im assume that its frozen but its tastel like sand in their. As I seated waiting for my water to refill. I dont see anyone come to refill our water instead they keep fill for the table its front of us. between dont seat in the booth its very dirty and full of painting .

My fiance and I decided to take my mother here for her first Pho experience. We are avid foodies and have tried most of the Vietnamese restaurants in Houston (Mais and Pho Saigon being exceptional) only to find Huynhs food to be bland and the service to be terrible. We waited over an hour for our food (1 bowl of Pho, pork vermicelli and 2 coconut tofu curries) only to discover the coconut curry to be tasteless, the vermicelli mediocre and the Pho average (but not terrible). The spring rolls we started with were ok, but the dipping sauce is also bland. There were also many more people of European descent than in other Pho places, often a bad omen when trying to find authentic food. During our visit they visited our table infrequently, took 20 minutes to give us our check after we asked and then did nothing when we politely informed them of our unhappiness. The only redeeming item was the Iced coffee. Delicious. The ONLY reason I did not give them a 1 star.

Crazy delicious! We found this place via Google Places and it turned out to be a gem! We had the duck salad - refreshing with lots of texture, and heavy on the flavor. The pho soup base was very flavorful - probably one of the best ones Ive had. The meat in the pho were really tender. I had the "Banh Cuon" - steamed rice paper with chargrilled pork which was really, really good: thin slices of chargrilled pork, fried onions, rolled in the softest rice paper, on a bed of fresh lettuce, cucumber, and carrots - everything was fresh & yummy! We had the flan + coffee syrup for dessert. The flan was melt-in-your-mouth good, the coffee adds just enough to add to the flan without overpowering it. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, but not hovering. It does get kinda loud in there. Definitely worth a visit!

I was brought here with my coworkers for lunch one day and was blown away. First of all , I was surprised I had never heard of the place before, and second of all, I could not believe how delicious it was. The menu is broad and I recommend going with the designated huynh favorites. I ended up with the Coconut curry (no. 82), which is a favorite, and it might be the best I have found in the city. I substituted shrimp instead of the tofu and it is incredible. They are very helpful and will substitute no problem. The no. 8 Goi Vit, duck salad, is a tasty appetizer served with a splendid ginger dipping sauce that you will want to eat with your other dishes as well, ask for extra. I always look forward to returning.

The worst Vietnamese reataurant I ever been to. Im Vietnamese and I would say this restaurant is not selling authentic Vietnamese food. The only authentic and good dish is Com Tam (known as broken rice to some). Pho is ok. Dont get the meatball because they only give you 1 meatball, cut into 8 pieces and sell it for extra $1.50. Dont get the smoothies. You would expect the smoothies is made out of real fruit, since it is Texas (lots of Vietnamese markets with real fruit), but it is not. It made out of powder, so the taste is not the taste that you would get when you eat the real fruit. Avocado smoothies taste like soybean smoothies. Trust me, I wouldnt come back to this place.

This place is either RACIST or ABLIST. Some friends of mine and I came here on a double date. One of us had to pee, so we dropped him off at the door. He asked to know where the bathroom is and the server manning the front looked him up and down THREE TIMES and proceeds to say, "The restroom is for paying customers only." As if my friend cannot possible afford $13 in food or whatever. We probably should have left, but we stayed. The food was passable, but nothing special. Certainly nothing worth wading through BIGOTRY to try. Go to Simply Pho, or Hughies if the Heights isnt too far. People are nice at those places and the food is good.

This is simply the best Vietnamese restaurant in Houston. The Mi Quang is so flavorful, fresh and the portion is huge. Their shrimp curry ( comes on vermicelli) is perfection. The broccoli in this curry is the florets and the shrimp are huge. The dipping sauce for the grilled pork appetizer is amazing and unusual; a nice addition to soy or fish sauce ( they have these as well). The food comes to your table so quickly and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. I love their restaurant, with gorgeous lighting, flowers, art, and such comfortable seating and booths. I will post pictures from my next visit.

It is probably the most authentic Vietnamese food you can get around the area. I would prefer going here over any of the other Midtown Vietnamese restaurants. They surprised me with their Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee). The dark color had me assume that there wasnt enough condense milk but I was wrong. It was the perfect amount. It had a slight hazelnut taste which I enjoyed. The reason for the 3 stars is because of their service. We came on a Saturday evening for dinner. It seemed as if they never had a big rush before, which boggled my mind. Nonetheless, the food was good.
