I dont know why I have not known this place but Im glad I found it!!!! Super damn delicious!!! Came here a little past noon and it wasnt so busy. As a first timer I settled for the charbroiled sampler, which included the giant shrimp, salmon, and tiger shrimp. Also had to try their Cole slaw and clam chowder. It didnt take long to get our food, probably 25-30 min. tops. But damn, the food is Soooo damn BOMB!!! Tiger shrimp and giant shrimp was cooked at the right amount. At some places Ive been to, shrimps on skewers always end up burnt and coming out all black. At this place it wasnt burnt on the outside or nothing, just right! And to top It off, their garlic butter sauce is perfection!!!! I could seriously just drink It...Ok thats a little too extreme. But definitely have to dip whatever food u got on your plate with that garlic butter. Itll change your life. Trust!! Im a huge cole slaw fan, and very picky when it comes to it. I must say, they exceeded expectations. Just the right amount of dressing. Yum!!!! Just writing this review is already making me crave this place. If you guys havent tried it yet, CHECK IT OUT!!

This use to be one of the best seafood places I would always come to but now it went down hill. I had order stuff shrimp with dirty rice and 1 each stuff shrimp. When I check my order before I left the restaurant everything was fine expect it was over fried but I was okay just I got off work and was ready to go home. So when I got home and starting eating I notice that it was just mostly batter bread. There was no type of stuffing at all maybe a little crab here and there, it wasnt even season well. So I thought they probably just mess up but I was wrong all of them was like that so I really didnt enjoy my food. The dirty rice always take weird to me like the ground beef was expired or they left it out to long. I been here several time and the dirty rice never tasted like that or the stuff shrimp. Me and my wife will not be coming back here again anytime soon, maybe in a year or 2 I will try it again but this was such a disappointment cause this place was great at first and i paid $19 for nothing. Oh yeah I came on a Wednesday if the Manager read this.

Come in here with your expectations in check. When you walk in and see modelo especial, dos equis and Corona as the beers being pushed, you Kind of now what to expect. The entire staff is entirely Latino, and while theres nothing wrong with Latino cajun places (and there are plenty in town), you just know youre not getting authentic Lafayette cuisine. Sorry, youre not. Started with the seafood gumbo. It was sad. Had two shrimp and mystery seafood substance. The shrimp tasted like rubber and our party wondered how the packaged crackers could taste so stale. Entrees werent any better. Best I could say is Ive had worse dirty rice. Thats the highlight. From the fried oyster which tasted like it had gone bad, to the rank crab cakes, to the really bland French bread, we felt sick afterwards. This is not a place to go if you want authentic cajun. At all. Whats sad is that they big themselves as cajun and creole. They are neither. Just bad tasting imitations

Been coming here on and off over a few years, but this time the place just didnt hit the spot. First sign of trouble, one waiter for the entire restaurant... took 20 min to refill water, 10 min to get napkins, etc... waiter was nice, but severely overworked. Gumbo was decent, but watery. Got a lobster fondue, not sure what was in it, but definitely not fondue. Red beans and rice was meh, good flavor, but sausage was a miss. Boudin was good, as was the dirty rice. For entrees, we got a mix. The pasta we ordered was overly seasoned and oily, could barely eat it. The fish were cooked well, but the sauces covering them were a bit much. Fried catfish was delish, would be back for that. Crawfish and shrimp etoufee were overly oily and difficult to eat. Probably wont come back in the future...

La Fayette is a delicious alternative whenever you feel like eating Pappadeauxs, but dont want to spend the extra $$. My husband and I have been here a few times, and I have always ordered the tried and true dish, Crabcakes & Crawfish Etouffe. This dish comes with 2 crab cakes, dirty rice or white rice, garlic bread or french bread, and a serving of crawfish etouffee covered in a light sauce, which I believe is lemon-butter sauce. The food from La Fayette is not too heavy, and they give you good sized portion of food that will leave you satisfied. Or, if youre not a big eater like me, you can happily share a platter with someone or take the rest home for leftovers! Also, my husband has ordered their cajun pasta as well as chicken strips. Both have been delicious!

went on Valentines day and told they are running behind on orders about 45 minutes... we thought ok, we can handle that. 2 hours later, incomplete order came out, Horrible Service, and then the owners and the management never offered a single apology and they still tried to charge us for the crawfish we Never recieved. There were several tables that just got up and left..... we should have too. And they only had a total of about 5 tables seated out of about 20. It was horrible experience not because of food (tasted great) but SERVICE.

Ive lived in the area for years and kept driving by this place wondering if it was any good. One day, I was finally motivated enough to stop in and what a treat it was! Ive returned a few times over and I always get a crawfish or crab bisque, followed by a fish entrée. The Snapper Ponchartrain and the Blackened Catfish Opelousas are two of my favorite dishes. The crabcakes are great and you cant beat the prices for the food. The parking can be tricky on Wednesdays when a band plays, but get there early and enjoy.

Saw this place driving by one day and it has become my new favorite restaurant. The food was amazing and the price is just right. The food is like a similar in taste and quality (some stuff is better) to a local restaurant but 10 million times cheaper. My date had the gumbo and didnt like it but I loved everything I had and even eating their leftovers the next day. Service was slow and you often have to call to the waiters to get their attention when its busy but the food more than made up for it.

OMG.... hole in the wall = great food and great prices.. I had the Langostinos which was crawfish eetoufee and fried crawfish with dirty rice... it was a full meal and i was HUNGRY at the start. I did everything but lick my plate it was so good. Still no sweet tea, but they have a couple of beers and wines, and as an added bonus coke on tap instead of serving cans. 15 bucks includes tip!! J
