This place used to be great. Good price, good food, The buffet was never the strong point but the kitchen (ordering from menu) and dishes were great. In the last year with new ownership, it has gone down. THe price has gone up, $12 dollars for a lunch+drink pre tip is just a tad expensive for a buffet that usually is half empty or leaving food from much earlier in the day that the waitresses just move around to make it look a little appetizing. The advertising around doesnt help much in way of atmosphere, i understand its Muslim, and i understand they want to make money and avoid waste but the LARGE signs with scriptures about not wasting food...really? Im sure dinner is nicer and i still enjoy their food from time to time but its not the same and the price is just getting too much to enjoy a quiet lunch there with so many Chinese restaurant alternatives so close by.

I dont know why some people write very bad reviews for this restaurant!! For me .. I went to the dinner/buffet time at 7 pm on Wednesday with a group of 5 persons. The buffet was full with clean, fresh, hot and delicious food for $11.99/person ($9.99 for lunch). The place, dishes, and utensils were clean. The atmosphere was good and quite. The owners kept walking around and checking on the tables. The waiters kept asking if we need anything and they were ready to help and serve. Their service was fast (maybe because it wasnt very crowded at that time and it was a buffet time not menu time). I didnt try the menu food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant for people who like Chinese-American normal buffet food and to those who care about really Halal food.

Delicious food, especially if youd like less greasy Chinese food. Come in later (past 7:15 at least) if youd like the buffet, so there are enough people for it to have good fresh items; for the most part, though, splitting several dishes from the menu is probably the best option and will get you the yummiest stuff. In particular, the wonton soup is full of goodies (shrimp and chicken and water chestnuts etc), the orange chicken is crispy and good, and their fried rice is worth the extra charge. Also, a special note to white people (at least the non-Muslim white people): you are missing out by making a weird face at me when I suggest the place. You will not be made to feel unwelcome unless you act like a doofus. Okay? Okay.

I thought when the place changed owners it was going to be better. When it first opened it was good, then it went downhill. Then the owners changed and the first time I ate there after the change it was pretty good. Next time, not so much...food was off temperature. Told owner and he promised better and apologized. Went back today and even worse. Egg rolls were still cold inside, rice was old, almost all the food tasted old. The only thing not lukewarm or cold was the fried shrimp. Could not really eat. Left hungry. Wont be going back...didnt even want to give it one star but it wouldnt let me publish without doing that. I would say MINUS 5 stars.

If you are really really hungry and are craving Chinese food and you are in the NW side of Houston and there than I guess you can go to this place. The ownership has changed and since then the quality has gone significantly down. The buffet menu hasnt changed in months and all the food pretty much tastes the same. All they are doing is replacing chicken with shrimp or beef in the same sauce. There is no diversity in the menu and to be honest, it is ok to make money in a business but dont sacrifice quality. Charge more for the buffet but at least improve the quality. People that go there can afford a slight increase in price if the quality is improved.

Food is great but management and customers service is terrible I Eww as brought a warm water with 3 ice cubes and they dont have cocktail sauce the manager said let me go check and never came back. The waiters never checked on us or fixed the issue until I had to get them. They practically avoided the table . And it was a long wait just to get a refill. Its more Pakistan food than Chinese. When I say I had more rude looks than service Im really serious I wouldnt bring your family here. The owners dirty look you. I watched a family table not get drinks for 20 min I kid You not and the servers and manager walk near them and ignore them.

This used to be my favorite restaurant, but since its been under new ownership the quality of the food has went down. The soft drinks arent fresh, they use bottles instead of cans. Buffet rice is always old and hard and they have to be asked for fresh rice to be brought out, they dont season there food with salt anymore either. The waiters dont quite understand english as well as they should in order to serve customers or take call in orders. I hope their service can pick up ASAP because I really loved this place when Jamillah was still there. May Allah bless the previous owner of this place, and InshaAllah the service will get better.

Dont eat here. They are confused on what they are doing. The foods here didnt make any sort of sense such as the spicy coconut sauce with chicken. There was also a lack of ventaltion in the place so it felt stuffy in there. The worst part was the total came out to be $15 when I was expecting to pay no more than $10 in a place like that, and enforced customers to leave a tip when the food was no good and waiters were hesitant to come give refills. ***DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE UNLESS WILLING TO PAY FOR THE FOOD AND MEDICAL BILL TO CHECK ON YOUR BOWEL MOVEMENT***

Really good Chinese food with a lot of options. If you dont like something , there would definitely be a few options for you to try and like alot. The taste is really good, and so is the quality. Halal chinese for $7 per person , with all you can eat and have chicken, beef and shrimps too? you simply cant beat that!I have been here quite a few times since I moved to houston The only downside is that, at times, the popular items get finished quickly and you have to wait a while some times for them to restock it.

Took 5 other coworkers with me to this place because they had 5 star reviews from 29 reviews... we drove 25 mins to get here. NOT impressed: tiny buffet, hot & sour soup was SOOOOOO BLACK PEPPERY (this from a bunch of ppl that love spicy & chinese food), a few dishes were ok/pretty good but truly Nothing to rave about. Decor was decent, service was ok then poor (they came a couple times to clear plates then the plates started stacking up & only refilled our waters for a few ppl once)
