I went there a couple months ago, had some appetizers and drinks which let me start off by saying that the first round of drinks took 20+minutes... service was HORRIBLE, the waiter was unprofessional and seemed bothered each time my table asked for something...The food itself was mediocre to not say worse. At the end of the night, I bit my tongue, signed the tab and left a pretty good tip.--ONLY to find out days later that my credit card was double charged! - I contacted the manager and was told that within 3-5 business days Id receive a credit for the unjustified charge...Sure enough I waited...and WAITED...two weeks later NOTHING...ended up having to report fraudulent activity on my card in order to get everything straightened out. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN... Fui allí hace un par de meses , tuve algunos aperitivos y bebidas. Desafortunadamente tengo que decir que la primera ronda de bebidas tardó MAS de 20miutos! ... el servicio era horrible, el mesero era poco profesional y parecía molestado cada vez que mi mesa ordenaba algo ... La comida en sí era mediocre para no llamarla peor. Al final de la noche, me mordí la lengua , firmé la cuenta y hasta deje una buen propina .-- sólo para descubrir días después de que mi tarjeta de crédito fue cobrada doble ! - Entré en contacto con el gerente y me dijeron que dentro de 3-5 días laborales recibiria un crédito para la carga injustificada ... Efectivamente yo espere... y ESPERE... dos semanas después NADA ... al final tuve que reportar actividades fraudulentas en mi tarjeta con el fin de conseguir que todo se arreglara.... NUNCA ire allí de nuevo ...

Me encanta la comida aquí. Ordené una fajita con pollo, carne y camarones. Fue exquisito. Los frijoles tienen la cantidad perfecta de picante. También me encanta la música en vivo en los sábados . Ya sé dónde traer mi futura novia en un sábado en la noche. Uno de los pocos sitios que no sea night club donde la gente se anima a bailar. Lo único malo fue que la música estuvo muy alta. Salí un poco sordo pero después se me quito.

Pretty lousy, but looks nice. Once a year my dad forgets that we dont like going here and we end up taking a meal. Last time we ate here we were one of only two tables with anyone sitting and dining. We could not get our waiter to serve us. The bussgirl ended up waiting on us. I ordered beef fajitas for one, it was pricier than normal and they gave me six very small pieces of meat, a mellon baller scoop of shredded cheese, a HUGE serving of onions and lettuce, and small pinch of pico. The location is a good one which means the pricey food is pricey for a good reason, but I can honestly get larger servings and better sides with my fajitas elsewhere. At the end of our visit, my dad handed the girl a cash tip and told her to pocket it because she was the only person up front doing any work.

Would give them negative stars if I could. Went after purchasing a coupon from them. After ordering sub par Mexican food, which took forever to come out and had several things wrong (they didnt bring our shrimp or beans). When we got ready to pay, they claimed they were not accepting our coupon. They claimed the service selling the coupons mistakenly put the wrong Celayas restaurant along with the exact address on the website which makes no sense. The manager basically told us rudely there was nothing she could or would do and basically didnt care if we were unhappy customers. She brought us the bill which was then completly incorrect (they charged us for drinks we didnt order). Never have we had such a horrible dining experience. Will not be back and warn anyone who ventures there.

Wow, so many negative reviews. I dont know what thats about because Celayas is my go-to Mexican restaurant, and has been for years. Now I only go for lunch and am usually eating alone. The wait staff is awesome and bring me an un-sweet tea without me having to ask. Gustavo, Rogelio, Edmundo, and Mauro are all excellent waiters and have been there for years. I only order beef fajitas or cheese enchiladas and both are reasonably priced (lunch) and absolutely yummy. Im kinda glad that they get some bad reviews because theyre not crazy busy during the lunch hours and I always, and I mean ALWAYS, get great service. My tea glass never goes empty either, and they usually have to refill it 3 times! I love their red salsa and the green salsa is good, but not the best.

My fiancé and I went out to eat on Cisco De Mayo. I do understand it was May 5th. The service was horrible, had to wait 45 minutes for a table. The hostess stated it would be a 15 minute wait. Had to remind the hostess we still were not seated after 30 minutes. Notice individuals were seated before us even though they arrived after us. Once we were seated we had to wait another 45 minutes to order or meal. I ask for chips and dip several times. The sodas were not what we ordered. The meal was not bad, it took another 30 minutes before the meal hit our table (not worth the two hour wait). Perhaps we might try this restaurant again, justnot on any type of holiday.

Been to this place a few times each time very very bad service its my fault for going back but I would never go back again the food is ok but their service is really really bad....so after being there almost an hour someone finally came up to me and ask how was everything and I told her it was bad and all she had to say was "Im Sorry" and walked away. Every single waiter in that place look at our table and no one came and said anything. The way I felt when I walked out was that they really didnt care , so I warn you do not go to a place that doesnt care. Like I said I gave them the benefit of the doubt three times and really really bad service every single time

Ive visited this place almost once a week. Tonight the service was very poor. Probably a new server, I asked for a combo, explaining very clear that I wanted a chicken fajita. My plate came with beef, at the time I requested the waitress; she wasnt available. .she was solving a bad service situation with another table. My husband asked to have a drink and didnt get it until he asked to another server. Im very disappointed, because even when my plate was corrected I didnt get the cheese as it supposed. I really hope to have better luck for the next time....while I was writing this, my plate was removed without letting me finish :(

When the entertainment is the best thing in a restaurant thats a bit of a red flag. Shrimp was undercooked, tortillas where cold, rice was bland and had no flavor, our food came out in less than 10 minutes. Not a good sign at a restaurant. The only reason i am giving them 2 stars and not 1 is because the entertainer was real good and played nice music but the food was not good. I mean i ordered bacon wrapped shrimp with my combo meal and i only ate 1 shrimp. They did not charge me for the shrimp so that was nice of them. Service was ok also. Not going to be returning though.
