Seriously disappointed in this place. My group of 3 ordered 2 bbq dishes. The waitress acted like we were cheap or something and said we would only get 2 bowls of rice. So...we asked for an extra bowl of rice. Upon second thought, we decided to order an extra plate of spicy prok since we were all hungry and huge Korean BBQ fans, but I guess the waitress failed to hear us because it was never brought out until we asked her about it. We ended up with 2 plates of spicy pork and a plate of Korean bacon. I had never had Korean bacon but was willing to try. Yeah...kinda hated it, but thats me. For about $20 a plate, I forgot how expensive Korean BBQ can sometimes be. Ive been going to Myung Dong (my personal Htown favorite) for so long now. 3 dishes of Korean bbq + zucchini pancake came out to about $35 per person. If I knew it would be this disappointing, I wouldve suggested Seoul Garden down the road. (Love their food albeit just as pricey, but the service and waitstaff needs major work.)

Bibimbap, don’t stop. Bon Ga is the best Korean restaurant in town. Houston Press says so, I say so, and Bon Ga probably says so. It’s three against one, pal. The ban chan is plentiful, but they’re a little reluctant to bring you more if you haven’t eaten all of it. Served in a hot stone bowl, the dolsot bibimbap is my favorite dish here. Second on that list are the zuchinni pancakes, served with a tangy and slightly sweet soy-based dipping sauce. Crazy good. They also have tables for Korean BBQ, and the helpful owner is very happy to come and show you how it’s done. If he wasn’t so friendly, I might have been upset when he took the chopsticks from my hand and meat from my plate to help me cook it properly. I love that mom and pop feel. Bon Ga is rich with it.

The staff was so sweet! I watch a lot of korean dramas on Viki and have naturally picked up a little bit of Korean. When I spoke to them in Korean they were so excited and proud lol. The food was amazing! They gave free refills of banchan (side dishes). The food was very flavorful and considering the generous food portions, the price was very reasonable. I couldnt even finish my food bc it was so much. If it wasnt so far from where I live Id probably be there every other weekend.

The tea was really bad. Its a really great experience though in my opinion, especially if you are looking for Korean food. However, if you dont know what you are ordering be weary b/c they do not speak English well enough to translate it. The food is wonderful, I had to pick anew restaurant since they closed snow peas, so Im pretty much trying them all out. This one is really good, if only the price wasnt so high.

Unpleasant experience mostly with the owners attitude that bothered guest much by insisting certain own opinions through unsolicited chats, while I was hungry and wanted to focus on my meal and own time. Also, the fish food was never fresh and it seemed to be made on long (perhaps improperly) stored low quality fish. Serving persons were OK.

Came here on a short vacation, so glad we decided on Korean instead of a steakhouse or a fancy Italian restaurant to be honest. The staff was so sweet and generous and the food was YUM! Really enjoyed the whole dinner :) and the sweet rice water shot they give at the end was an unexpected and delicious treat.

The service is great and the food was good. Free refills for the Banchan and they even served purple rice! The price is about the same everywhere else. Youll need 2 orders of meat to grill but the kitchen cooks 1 order very well so I wasnt too put out. Ill be coming here again.

Is it BonGa Garden Rest. or Korea Garden Rest? Or two different garden restaurants in the same place? The food is very good, service friendly and we have a lot of fun here cooking our meat at our table, trying all the sides and drinking Soju or Hite. The boy has Coke. 감사합니다

My husband and I ordered gam-ja tang, which was not properly seasoned, so just plain water taste. The boiled porks inside of the soup were very smelly. However, the price for one bowl is 16.99. So we ended up paying $42 including tips.

It was quite and experience eating in such restaurant. The atmosphere, the food itself (a bit chilly)...you have to visit it in order to understand what I mean. Still I hope that you will not get me wrong. I liked the place very much.

This is one of our neighborhood favorites. The service is quick. The menu is extensive and easy to understand in English . The food seems very fresh. The condiments are good, and the veggie pancakes are always a good choice.

One of the worst Korean restaurants in TX. Server really needs to work better and hard. Not friendly at all. Only do minimal. Food was below average. Been there 4 times and received the same services, never go back.

The food is really good. I had the mackerel and my kids ordered fried dumplings. The fish cakes were good and my daughter loved them. I recommend you come to this place, youll love it. The price is reasonable for the food.

Worst service and small dishes are poor (broccoli top with hot sauce) for real?? Meat is expensive, but by the end the waitress did make sure you pay 18% tip even they never refill any water......

Great Korean restaurant especially for group since they have rooms that hold a dozen people each. The large hot pot is great to share along with the seafood pancake.

Our family just moved back from Asia and weve been missing our favorite Korean restaurant. This was a great find. We enjoyed the bulgogi and kimchi.

Nice place... food was served fairly fast. Tea was not good though. They served hot tea on a plastic cup. Other than that, the food was good.

Delicious. But they dont do vegetarian substitutions, so no hot pot if you dont eat meat. Kimchi pancakes were fantastic.
