I had such high hopes for this restaurant, but it was not meant to be so. The stars are not for the food, but for the excellent service. Our waitress was very nice. Now for the food.. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which I realized was extremely overpriced when I received it. The portion was so small I laughed from disbelief. Honestly, there was one small chicken breast, and then various smaller pieces that couldve fit into the palm of my hand. It was basically an appetizer positioned as a "dinner entree" that cost me $12. While I liked the dish, it was nothing special. I could go anywhere and experience the same flavor, but at a much larger portion size and almost half the price. My SO ordered the clear Tom Yum soup, and it was honestly awful. He suffered through a couple bites of it and ate most of the vegetables, but eventually he had to push it away because it was making him feel nauseous. I ended up having to share my small amount of chicken with him. Thankfully our meal came with rice and side dishes, so we ate as much of those as we could. The side dishes were unlimited and okay at best. The kimchi was but definitely canned; the pickled vegetables and bean sprouts were quite good. The broccoli was cold, limp, and absolutely dreadful. Overall, unless you want to pay for overpriced, subpar food, dont waste your time or money coming here. Panda Garden has MUCH better food and more bang for your buck. I really wanted to like this restaurant and was so excited because of the positive reviews, but I was very disappointed and would not recommend it to anyone.

For starters Im a half Korean guy that was stationed in Korea for two years. Therefore, I know the difference between good Korean food and not so good Korean food. This place in Lincoln, Nebraska has surprised me for three reasons. The first being that they are the only decent Korean restaurant Ive found in Lincoln. The second is that the price is on point for the amount/quality of food you get. The third and last reason for my surprise is that the food tastes like something Id get in one of the restaurants Ive visited in Seoul, Pyonkgraek, or Busan (military folk can relate). Basically, its awesome food for a good price and a rare jewel in terms of Korean places in Lincoln. Give them a shot; theyre local and you wont come closer to excellent Korean/Thai food. Kimchi!!!

FANTASTIC! Eating now, and while I wait for the fire in my mouth to die down I had to share how awesome the food is. I really highly recommend, best Thai and Korean Ive ever had in Lincoln. So happy I live about a mile away, going to be a very frequent visitor! UPDATE: Second day in a row eating lunch here. This meal was just as fantastic as the first. Tried the fried tofu appetizer, very good and lightly fried enough to feel like youre eating something healthy much like the meals. Had the Pad Ka Pao with pork, which would be a good introduction to anyone used to Americanized Chinese food looking for something to eat, its definitely Thai, but hits similar flavors that Chinese food uses. Cannot wait to come back.

Awasome restaurant! Ive been to many Korean restaurants and believe me, this one is amazing. The taste, the service, and is very good price for a lot of food. If you havent tried Korean before, you should, right in this place, theres not any other in Lincoln, but even if there would be another one, I would still prefer this one. Always amazing soup, amazing bulgogi, side dishes and the exceptional service joining all that, of course. At the end: a better than expected check too.

My best friend and I love Korean food! It our tradition to treat ourselves to Korean food for special occasions. We discovered Yami after our usual restaurant closed its doors for good. Man, Im glad we did! The restaurant was very clean, the staff was courteous and the food was very tasty. I suggest their ChapChae to anyone interested. Hmm...I think I might need to take my family for Korean tomorrow.

I am here with my wife and our friend. Wife is Malaysian Chinese, friend is originally from mainland China. These girls know good food from whats bad. Theyve been like 2 hens clucking all day long with 2 exceptions. Canton House in Omaha and Yami. If theyre not talking, you KNOW the food is pretty good. Thank you Yami for an excellent meal and 30 minutes of peace and quiet. LOL!

There was hardly any ban chan with our meal and it was not good. Seriously lacking flavor. The service completely lacked table-side traditional barbecue. Korean food should be vibrant but our meal was quite bland. The meat wasnt tender. I have no idea how this meal for two could be worth the $60 I paid.

Yami is yummy. everything here is great. their decor may be quite casual, but the food is on point and colorful. cant beat any of the dishes with a fried egg on top. the old man may seem grouchy, but he will take great care of you. when it comes to great Korean cuisine, this here Is, SIR PIGGYS HOT HANG OUT

Its nice that it has both Korean and Thai options. My husband had korean short ribs and it came with side dishes and rice. He loved it. I had Thai coconut soup but Ive had better. The Thai iced tea was okay, it had too much cream. The boba though was good. Nice and soft. The Thai fried rice was perfect!

I had the babimpop and was more than impressed, food was amazing and even came with about 5 sample dishes. Presentation was great and it tasted even better. Venue was small but very cozy, Pretty busy yet still quiet, and staff was very friendly attentive. I highly recommend.

10/10. First came here out of sheer curiousity a couple weeks ago. Was blown away by the quality of the food and service. Returned a second time to the quiet atmosphere and had all expectations exceeded. Would highly recommend to anyone with a mouth.

Excellent service. I called in a custom order of cold noodles on a hot day and they prepared it for me. Nothing special about there location but theyve got all the basics of Korean cuisine.

Being in Lincoln Ne you would not expect to be able to get good Korean BBQ. That being said Yami is VERY good. The owners are incredibly nice as well. My favorites are ribs and bugogi.
