WORST SERVICE EVER. My son & I sat down to eat around 5 PM. It was just us and one other table (an elderly couple) in the entire restaurant. We ordered pancakes & French toast. It wasnt until AN HOUR later a server (not our original one) approached us asking how we were doing. I told her that weve been waiting for our food for an hour, the she approached our orginal waitress (in front of us) asking if she put in our order, long behold- SHE DIDNT. No one apologized. At this point 2 other parties had arrived, enjoyed their meal & left. Finally 30 MINUTES later we finally got our food- It was lukewarm. The waitress said she would comp our meal for the long delay (which I would expect nothing less). Then our bill gets dropped off- She just took off the kids meal. She did NOT comp the ENTIRE meal, like she said. The worst part of this is, that there was a sign sitting on the table that said "Kids eat free from 4-10 pm". At this point I was so furious, I just left the cash there & left. That was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I understand that this is just IHOP, obviously not a 5 star restaurant but Ive worked in customer service/ the food industry before & Trust me when I say- They have no idea what they are doing and have no business working there. As for the manager, she definitely should have approached us & apologized on behalf of her employees incompetence. WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN.

Closest IHOP to our house. We visit this location very frequently, usually about once a week. The last few times we have gone, I have noticed a downward trend in their "organization" during peak times. While we were in the waiting area, I noticed quite a few come in to pick up their togo orders, the waitstaff and hosts were very disorganized and unable to get the correct orders to the correct people. There were open tables in the restaurant and a 20 min wait. The last few times we have eaten here, we noticed a longer than usual wait time for our food, once, they even warned us before seating us that it would be over an hour wait for food. Last visit we were seated in a position with a direct view to the kitchen, and it seemed very disorganized. I have observed the same manager on duty each time we experience these issues. The food is usually good quality when we do get it, but the experience isnt all about the food, rather the overall picture.

Im usially the guy that just rates places by "stars" anf never feels compelled to actually wrote a review. Since I cant give this location negative stars, here we go... Set down right away, that was the first and last positive experience here. Forget the fact that our waiter couldnt even bring our table of 4 coffee and water, literally 20 minutes after we placed our order, our waiter comes back to the table and says, "before I finish putting your order in, can you repeat your order to me?" I wished it ended there. 3 out of the 4 of us got completely different or wrong orders brought to us even after he came back to "verify". Our glasses stayed empty until we refilled them ourselves and we had to practically beg for more coffee after we were given about half a cup each to start with. $2.39 per person for coffee... fill my cup up please! AVOID!!!

Fui el sábado y la señorita que estaba sentando ala gente estaba de muy mal humor ...muy seria sin sonreír ala gente ..la mesa muy sucias y la piso con comida tirada y los baños no tenían papel para secar manos...mi orden bien pequeña la porción del huevo ...el mesero no frecuentaba mi mesa por si se me ofrecía algo ...de verdad muy mal servicio yo creo que por eso ya no va tanta gente como hace tiempo .

we went there today , we sat down @10:17 after waiting 15 minuets . they didnt ask us for our drinks until 15 minuets after that and then she had left without finishing and went to other people because they were complaining about waiting 45 minuets for there food . another waitress came and asked us for our order and we ended up waiting 45 minuets for our food & once we got it the bacon was over Burnt and tasted horrible and I LOVE bacon so that really upset me & the eggs tasted spongy & my pancakes were cold . Now as my dad was finishing his steak the very last part was nothing but FAT is was like half of his steak he could NOT eat nor cut into it . this place needs to fix a lot of things up . ASAP

This was our first time visiting this location. Upon entering the host was un presentable, half asleep constantly yawning. We were seated and asked for coffee, the waitress spilled the coffee on the table and on my husband.(she sincerely apologized) We ordered our food and 35 mins later we were asked what our order was because it "wasnt in their computer " they then proceeded to put our order in. At this point I was so upset just about everything that we asked to pay for our coffees and left. Never again will we visit this location.

I ordered the colorado omelet and i got an omelet with very little ham, no bacon, no sausage, and 5 pieces of steak. Two thirds of the omelet had no meat at all. My wife did not want me to say any thing so i called after we left and spoke with the manager. He did not apologize and said when i come back i can have a free omelet. I told him i lived in Mesquite and would not be out there again. He just said oh well and hung up. If i could give no stars i would.

This IHOP its the worst that Ive ever been. They served my daughter a hot chocolate with trash in it. A previous costumers cup I assumed. When I brought it up to the waitress she just said that shell bring another one. I wonder how many times a day their staff will use dirty dishes? I strongly recommend to reconsider before coming here. 11/09/14

Rarely had trouble here. Went on Saturday to eat. 3 people setting in lobby to get seated. A couple came in behind my wife & me. My wife went the restroom & there was a least 5 or 6 tables open. The hostess seem not to care when we said something. We left & took our business somewhere else. Bad thing about it, we live about a mile from it.

Horrible service! Came in with my mom and 19 month old. Barely anyone in the restaurant but two waiters were fighting over whos section we should be in... not wanting us! Thanks! And then on top of that received many eye rolls and horrible service. Dont know what we did except come in on a Monday morning. Thanks Walker!

Love the menue items. They have a 10% discount for seniors. You have to ask for the discount. And... some items are not included like snack items ahead of your meal.Their salads are always crisp and fresh. They offer turkey bacon substitutes for pork bacon. The IHOP in Hickory Creek has pleasant help.
